At one of the rooms in the hospital…
Time seemed to be a fictional thing to the people inside it. One was browsing a magazine on the couch while drinking coffee. The other was on the bed, staring at space. Both men had similarities in the way they looked, but one was as stern as the other was smug. However, the smugness in him was long gone after he saw what the surgery had ended up.
Based on what the doctor said, the thing that dug into his face was extremely sharp blades, like the claws of a lion or a bear. However, they couldn't tell how it was possible for a human to do this to him. Nonetheless, his right eye was unsalvageable, but the nerves on his face weren't ruined all that much. The wound was deep, but the blade didn't pull on the flesh. It's like slicing fish without crushing the meat.
