Time passed and soon it was time for birth. Her water had just broken and before she knew anything she was on the bed with maids ready to serve her every need. The midwife was already besides her. And a Healer was waiting just in the corner. Everybody's face was anxious, but covered with determination. The Madam had become pregnant after much difficulties, so no one wanted any mishap to occur. The head had even covered the whole complex with numerous arrays.
To Venessa everything felt like a dream. A hazy dream. Despite reaching the Golden Core Realm, the anxiety, the pressure and finally the pain squeezed every single ounce of her strength. From what she could make out, the child was bigger than average and was stuck. But among all the pain she wasn't sure and finally felt relief and she was unconscious.
The last thing she heard was a loud cry.
Outside the room was a man who looked in his fifties. Dressed in purple brocade he had an innate sense of superiority. A person who looked over millions, for he was Nicholas Xavier Caresean, current head of the Family. He was anxiously pacing around the room, and looking at the wooden door with tension.
Standing in the corner was another man. A statue like face which showed no emotions, he was the head butler. Dressed in black and white suit which were inspired from the Aristocrat of another Universe. His talent in remaining out of the view would put even an assassin to shame. His personal belief was to be ' Follow thy master like shadow. Ever present but always hidden.'
"Where's that good for nothing brat?" roared Nicholas in anger. Here his daughter in law was giving birth and his stupid son was still not present. He had long sent a message and asked him to leave the fleet halfway and return home. Who would guess that suddenly a snow storm occurred and froze the harbor and the surrounding sea. Later, expiry of Trade Agreement which was only for three months would get them mired in bureaucratic mess. Fortunately his bastard son managed to reach the City in time.
"Master, the Young Master has just reached the city. He should be reaching here any second. And I would like to remind you, please control your anger. It would be harmful to your health." said the Butler with the same stone face.
The moment he finished a man burst in the anteroom. The man was dressed in travelling fatigue. His unshaven face and unruly hairstyle gave him an wild unhibited look. Adding his handsome face and his warm blue eyes he was am eye candy.
"Where's my son..." he asked and all he got was a smack to his head. In front of him stood Nicholas with his face red and literally releasing smoke.
"Father..."
And once again they were interrupted, but this time by loud wails.
Verserys slowly opened his eyes. He found himself wrapped in layer and layer of clothes. He tried to look around but his blurry eyes could barely detect light.
"Damn..." he cursed in his mind. A baby can only detect light and motion when born. It would take him a good three to four months to be able to fully see, even with his strength.
At the moment even using his soul was painful. A baby's body couldn't handle his soul. Even though his soul was just a wisp, an extremely small percent, it was still an extremely small percent of an ocean. The worst part was Universe Resonance. The small modifications to the body and a bit of purifying here and there had created a birth phenomenon. Usually birth of Divine Bodies would create a birth phenomena. Their body would resonate with certain Universe Rules and be emitted as a phenomena. Like a strong phoenix bloodline might resonate with Fire Rules and release a fire phenomena.
In his case, It took almost all his power to suppress that. Or else even before his birth he would find himself the center of attraction.
The birth itself was beset with difficulties. He hadn't taken his increase in size during the gestation and the width of birth canal in his plans. And so he found himself stuck. Embarrassment was the least of his emotions. Humiliation just managed to top it. Above all, suppressing the phenomena was making it even more difficult. Finally after what seemed like hours, he secretly managed to decrease his size while healers managed to get him out. This experience was going to locked in the deepest recess of his mind, under several thousand lock and keys!
Very soon he found himself incapable of doing anything and feeling sleeps. The baby's body was far too undeveloped to handle complex tasks. It was far too tiring and consuming. Sighing, he lulled himself to sleep.
Venessa looked at her child. Her eyes were filled with boundless love. Her child's wrinkled face had smoothen out and she could already see an embryonic form of a handsome man. He had picked up all the good points of his father and mother and maybe even brought them up to another level. Atleast she won't have to worry about finding him a wife. Giggling at this thought, she looked at the man standing besides her and asked.
"Nic, so what will be his name?"
The man was now entirely different. Gone was the wild streak, the unruly hairs and the coarse stubble. Instead now he looked like a cultured scholar. Ironed robes, a clean shave and oiled hairs. His hairs were perfectly combed so not even a strand was out of place.
"...You really want me to name?" he asked in pitiful and complaining voice. The whole country knew about his poor naming sense. He named his Condor, Birdy. His horse was named Beast. Even his pets were simply named to the extent that his father had banned him from naming anything else. Although he believed it was genetics. His father had simply added a junior for his name, so that he didn't need to spend time coming up with a good name.
"Janus... Let his name be Janus."
