"I apologise for my rudeness Guild Master, I just wanted to confirm your identity-" Lensa attempted to apologise, but I waved my hand to stop her. "It is ok, and I am here to work for a while and not forever, all I want is a class to teach with my wife… my Mother will be staying with us until I finish" I smiled as I talked.
"Yes, Guild Master," Lensa said as she took out papers before writing on them and handing it over to me. I looked over them and nodded before signing them and handing the papers to my wife to sign. "From now on I am not the Guild Master but a teacher, call me Mr Ace" I smiled as I stood up from my chair as Emma was signing the papers.
"Guild- Mr Ace, I am honoured to have you teach here, you will be teaching year one students, and if you require anything, please contact me" Lensa stood up and shook my hands before shaking Emma's hands.
I walked to the door, and the rest followed while Lensa began to guide us towards our classroom. "This will be your class, following the new system Mrs Rose has set up, we are required to have two teachers per class and one security guard out of each room."
I looked at the classrooms and nodded as first-year students took most of the first floor while there were four floors per building. "Thanks, Lensa, I will enter now and begin teaching" I looked at the watch on my hand before nodding. "Mr Ace, there is 40 minutes before classes start, most of the students live around the campus, and the teacher's villas are also close by, I will personally guide your Mother there and come back later to guide you to your villa".
I nodded and opened the door before entering the classroom. I looked around and saw a large whiteboard behind me while three chairs and a table was sitting in the middle of the stadium, on the other side were stairs which were split into three sections and had three chairs and tables per step while leaving space for walking.
"Emma, I will leave the basics to you, I will prepare the introduction and conclusion of the first lesson… let us hope the kids are not what the reports tell me" I smiled as I held my cane and walked to the whiteboard before snapping my finger and a pen appeared on it. Emma smiled as she sat on the chair and took out a book from the desk. She began to read it at a fast pace while I wrote on the board.
Slowly the whiteboard was filled with questions and answers; I smiled as I hated the previous schooling systems in the old world. No more unnecessary things such exams, no quizzes, no tests… there is only survival of studies; you want to pass? Answer what is given to you by your teacher by the end of the class before leaving the papers in the box.
Theory classes were twice a week, Practical were 3, holidays were two days, and that makes a total of a week. The theory classes will involve knowledge of calculations, monsters and the new world. Practical involves training the body, training the mind and group work through towers designed for students.
A select team of guards will monitor year one students through monitors installed in their training centres, and all students are required to have a card with them at all times, these cards are designed for them exclusively as it deals with many things such as their finances and skills.
Trying! I finished writing, and the school bells began to ring before students flocked into the classroom, some were shocked to see two new teachers while others just took their seats before they started chatting with each other.
I looked at the watch fast, showing it was 7:58 Am, I smiled and stood behind Emma who was indulged in her reading, I poked her before smiling and walking to the front of the stadium. Students began to turn silent, and everyone had their eyes on me. I placed both of my hands on my cane as I watched the students go completely silent.
"Good morning," I said with a smile. Everyone looked at me before greeting back, "Good morning".
I nodded and began, "Hello everyone, my name is Ace. I expect everyone to call me Mr Ace, this is my wife Emma, Mrs Emma… I am going to be your new teacher for this few months, and I expect everyone to be serious in my classes and ask questions anytime."
Everyone nodded before focusing on my next words "As today is going to be the first class I will be giving a small introduction to our first topic, Monsters."
I smiled as I began to pace back and forth, "Your school days might have started two months ago but in my class, what you hear is something new, such as Monster concepts and mindsets."
Smiling, I looked over at the students who were excited and serious, "Are monsters as smart as us?" I asked while swinging my cane. "No…" A student asked while looking at me, I shook my head and replied "They are, you don't realise it, but the moment any being can move their hands and legs… they become intelligent beings, a monster, a human, a beastmen and any other race."
I smiled as I tapped my cane once on the ground before a question on the board began to glow and slowly fade, a figure appeared in the middle of the room moving around on the stadium, sniffing the air and looking around it before baring its fangs on the students. I looked at the scared students before smiling "This is only a fake one, do not worry it won't bite… Let me introduce you to this Timberwolf."
I walked over the Timberwolf and looked at the students while standing next to it, "What makes it intelligent? Is it the instincts? Is it the capability of killing its prey? Or is it how to avoid danger?"
I stood there while waiting for any students to answer but it seems that no one can, "I know that all of you are young to know this but I want you to remember that the moment you thought 'A monster is unintelligent' is the same moment you will lose your lives on the battlefield or adventure" I said while my face turned serious.
'8 years old, this world is not as it used to be… I will shelter you but you need to think!' I thought as my smile slowly turned bright. "Mr, what can we do?" A worried girl said as she looked at the Timberwolf. I looked at her and nodded at her question "Think, analyse, study, plan and execute! No matter what, if you find something wrong, take a step back, if you feel suspicious, run away."
The girl nodded but a boy sitting in the back looking a bit arrogant stood up "Teacher! Why should we run away, I will pick up my sword and slash that monster!" he said while grinning. The students around him began whispering.
I smiled at his arrogance and asked him "Oh really? What if it can't be hit?"
The boy smiled and replied "I will call my clan!" he said while looking arrogantly at everyone in the room. I nodded my head "That is a good choice, always having a plan is great but if you can't escape? A monster intelligence is limited, and it doesn't care about your family."
The boy shut himself up before sitting down, and I continued "This is what school is, for now, think before doing anything, study when you are given a chance! Do not be stupid and always be ready for any situation! I will take my seat now, and Mrs Emma will continue the class on Monster basics chapter 1 page 22."
All the students nodded before taking their books from their tables and opening them. "Hello students, let us begin with the basics…"
Emma looked at me before smiling and looking back at the students, "Timberwolf, discovered date xx favourite food xx…"

Two shadows gathered on the island, hidden from the sight of any monitoring, they looked around as they noticed their bodies under the robes were slowly disintegrating, one of the shadows spoke in a low voice "We can't find anything, report back to the leader… "
Both of the shadows disappeared, but they didn't notice a small kid was standing behind them watching their every move, he smiled as he also disappeared from his spot.
