Davis felt a surge of affection for Everlight. He swallowed it and beamed at her.
"Understood. I'll pay more visits and bring the children for you to play with."

Everlight's azure tails happily wagged as she thought about the future visits from Davis and the children, excited to see them again and spend more time with them. However, there was even more of a deeper wish that he would get her pregnant, but she suppressed that thought as it was required for the power to have all hands available.
As a Guardian who once looked after an entire power along with eleven other Guardians with eleven other unique perspectives, she knew the headaches involved in protecting a power wouldn't allow the heads to care about interpersonal relationships.
Right now, she was just enjoying her freedom, relaxing, and tending to the garden.
Nonetheless, she knew why Davis was here, and she took him to the place.
