Lord Zhan frowned but he did not notice what had just happened.
The Blood Moon Great Array was operating as per usual whereas Huang Yueli and Li Moying had already fallen in for more than one hour. They should probably be on their last breath by now.
Everything proceeded smoothly and success was practically right in front of his eyes.
Lord Zhan did not suspect anything and did his hand gesture again as he shouted, "Retract—!"
However, he still did not receive any blood essence energy this time. The blood pool beneath his feet which was still surging with waves earlier suddenly quieted down like a pool of dead water. There were no movements, not even a ripple.
