Feng Wu had only been three or four when she was tested, and children of that age usually couldn't remember much. Elder Jing was thrilled when he saw that Feng Wu still remembered him.
He nodded in excitement. "That's right! I didn't expect you to remember me! You have an excellent memory!"
He led Feng Wu and Elder Grain toward the courtyard as he spoke.
Elder Grain threw off his hand grumpily.
Elder Jing didn't have time for Elder Grain. He only cared about Feng Wu now. There were tears of excitement in his eyes.
Feng Wu looked at Chaoge in confusion, but Chaoge only shrugged.
Elder Jing introduced the other two elders to Feng Wu. "This is Elder Breeze, our leader. I'm the second in seniority, and this is Elder Grain. He's kind of mean, so just ignore him."
Elder Grain didn't like the sound of that.
Why should he be ignored?
And why did Jing care about Feng Wu so much?!
