After a week of slow, irritating crawling, which is actually much faster compared to the beginning, I finally came out. That person was truly a persistence prick. That Andronicus person had warped space to hide himself along his energy being emitted. The person just relied on his eyesight to scan the area constantly, making it more difficult to tell when he left. Only after enduring, did he truly leave.
Now that he's gone, I decided to leave the shallow waters around the island and head to deeper waters. I could stay behind and lazily spend the rest of my life there, being satisfied with what I got. But I feel as though that would be a bad decision. There's no entertainment to sustain my laziness, and I could easily become prey of others. Although I was lucky in stealing from that guy, if he was awake, I would've been hanging as a decoration on his front house.
The Leonardo guy was clearly human, meaning there's continents somewhere. Then there's intelligent humanoid tribe leaders, meaning there's underwater civilization. Since the marine life around the island are pretty weak, it would be suitable to go deeper. Which is what I'm currently doing.
I used elemental water to swiftly hover near the floor-line as I descended. As the water became dim from not enough sunlight, I dropped to the steep coral cliffs. I've seen cultivation novels to know that these places are probably full of huge and horrifying creatures. Plus, my intuition tells me that the place has become dangerous. The usual marine life has seemingly disappeared, making it eerily quite and desolate.
Sliding my soul out of the shell, I peaked into the vast water abyss opposite of the coral walls. A huge shadow in the shape of a snake with limbs quickly swam through the water. It's outline resembling a flood dragon. My imaginary hairs stood up as I secured myself to the walls and watched in caution.
A large roar echoed through the area, amplified by the rippling of elemental water. I couldn't help but feel intimidated by that roar, as it had a very pressuring effect. I looked ahead to see very tiny figures fighting against the flood dragon. Upon closer look, they were humanoid people, possibly from a clan, but the energy they emitted was about the same as Leonardo. Clearly, the flood dragon was way more powerful, but there were hundreds of those figures, keeping it at bay by unleashing unknown attacks.
Not wanting to get involved, I just looked around the area. I spotted several unknown marine life cowering behind a huge boulder. I slid over slowly to get a better view. Upon closer look, I realized that they were humanoids as well. They were wearing robes of an unknown clan, but their cultivation looked to be way lower than the ones fighting the flood dragon.
Six of them were male, muscular humanoids but with no horn in particular. The last one was a female that I couldn't help but stare at momentarily. Although her skin color's blue, she has to be one of the most beautiful women I've even seen. Spotless skin, and a voluptuous body that gave the air of a mature and noble women. She was wearing a luxurious dress with her face exposed. If I was human, I would've probably attempted to kidnap her.
But seeing the women and guy holding hands closes to the side, I couldn't help but grin with mischievous thoughts. I slid over closer to the before being in plain view. Some of them looked at me but quickly ignored, thinking I was just a normal creature. I slid next to the guy which made him looked at me along with the woman weirdly. As I'm three foot long, I'm half the diameter the guy is.
Wanting to try a new idea, I put it into action. Using my imagination, I used devour laws to create tiny mouths on the outside connecting to my shingles. Little black-like snakes slithered out before unstably floating wavering about. I merged them into one which had a body width of an inch and a length of a foot.
The little snake floated over to the side of his leg, but nobody paid attention. They were to concerned about the battle. The snake mouth opened up before biting into his leg. With devour, almost all defenses are useless as long as enough energy is supplied to the laws. If I had done this when there wasn't a fight, he could've easily flipped me over and killed me.
The guy nearly yelped in pain but held his mouth. He ferociously looked down at me, trembling in anger and shock. The women looked down in shock as well, which turned into anger as well. It's possible the two are in a relationship, but I don't care. Drops of blood entered through the snakes mouth before hitting the surface of my shingle exoskeleton. The drops seeped in-between the shingles before entering my body.
It quickly turned into a steady stream which seeped through my shingles, supplementing my body which hadn't had good food for the past few days. The guy's eyes had turned blood-shot as he trembled in anger; his fists clenched. The women was looking at me as if I was dead meat. I suddenly took out a chunk of flesh which made his face turn pale. I manipulated the piece to the flat side so I could enter my mouth. I was also laughing at this scene. Although I'm usually not this mean towards strangers, I really need to vent out my boredom.
Eating that piece of flesh was quite beneficial. It quickly dissolved and turned into high quality nutrients and energy, reinforcing my entirely body and satisfying my hunger. The other people looked over stunned, baffled at what they're seeing.
