"You have overstepped your bounds Retribution, and made contact with the anomaly, through a Right of all things. Out of respect for you I erased his memories, but now you've force my hand." A young mans voice reprimanded Re. "What are you going to do?" Re asked.
"I'm not going to just erase his memories, I going to do what I was suppose to all those year ago. And don't think you lot are get off for what you've done bring him back into this world. What, do you really want that thing back in this hall? I'll not have it, he tarnished a goddess do you know what punishment I could of branded on him, I could have given him 3000 year in the Pits fighting off the humans he so loved. But no I gave him mercy because you asked me to!" The young mans voice steadily rose in volume.
"Judgment you dare speak of mercy in front of me. Now you have stepped on another gods laws." Re fought back with a more menacing voice, her blonde hair turning black, and her eyes white. "Re calm down. You can't fight Judgment he'll place you into the Pits to fight against the one you love." Carnage stepped up. "Shut up. No one can call me that bar him!" Re screamed at Carnage, instantly silencing him. "Judgment don't you can let this slide, just this once." Thyme tried to smooth talk Judgment. "No. And that's, final. Retribution stop what you are doing and I'll forgive you, but I'm sorry I can't not pass judgment on him. I'll erase his memories of you again and then a horde of beast will attack that town. And then there will be another and another and another, till that thing is dead." Judgment passed his "Judgment".
"Can you do me a least one last favor?" Re asked Judgment.
"What is it?" Judgment replied.
"At least leave my name." Re pleaded, but to no avail Judgment shook his head with a solemn look. Leaving the hall Re eyes were full of tears. "As for the rest of you, this is a warning if you try to save him or bring back his memories again, I'll place you in his shoes. That is all, now leave." Judgment warned the others then left the hall himself.
By a crystal clear lake, Re laid under a large oak tree leaning on the trunk, tears falling from her eyes. "Should we go and talk to her." Carnage asked. "No, sometimes it's best to be left alone." A lady replied. "So, Fate. Whats going to happen? Is it fate that he dies or will he defy even a gods judgment." Thyme asked the lady. "You know dame well I can't tell you, and I know dame well you know Thyme, for if you wanted to you could see the future. But can't change it." Fate said with her head tilted looking at Thyme.
"I'm not just going to stand around and do nothing, that anomaly Judgment speaks of saved me from my Carnage itself and then helped me attain the name. Judgment is only jealous because he stole Retributions heart and we all know it." Carnage was determined to defy. "But he'll do the same to you Carnage." Thyme said
"He can't without me the armies won't be as deadly and as for you two, your time and fate itself. Your two of the five he can't judge without a dame good reason." Carnage explained with a grin, the others also understood his logic and left Retribution to he sorrow and began their little plan.
When Feng Xian finally awoke in his room it had been three days. With a huge headache, and the taste of copper plaguing his mouth he sat up. "What happen... Re. Why does this name appear in my head? Who does it belong to?"
"I don't know, you screamed it out before passing out as well." Grey said. "Well come on there's no time to spare sorry but you need to get to training, there's been a horde spotted five months out and it big." Feng Xian sat there with a worried face, more so thinking is that enough time for him to train. "Get up!" Grey screamed at Feng Xian. Scurrying to his feet grabbing his ring and shirt then leaving with Grey down the hallway. "So how big is the horde and what kind of beast will we face?" Feng Xian asked along the way to the training grounds. "It's numbered to be around three hundred thousand, the last time that big a horde came was over 50 years ago I wasn't even born and as for what we'll face. Hell, we will be facing hell." Grey replied as he opened a door that lead to Sten's forge, then being lead through the shop and out to the main road. "Where are we going?" Feng Xian asked as Grey lead him towards the west of the town. "To our Brigades training fields. No more questions please, and remember you are yourself out here, not Shadowless." Grey explained and then went silent and continued to walk at a brisk pace.
The city was lively, not a place where you think a horde would attack. Everyone seems to not know about it and go on with their daily lives, then it hit Feng Xian they truly don't know but why. The stores bustled with business and the stands full of onlookers. "We didn't tell them for it cause panic, and they might die while running away. These are orders from the higher ups and we must follow them plus most of these are the families of the soldiers, there are also powerful warriors that are merchants here, take Sten for example he's one of us and a blacksmith one of the best in the empire, but he acts like he's a low class blacksmith due to his families background, his family has served The Lady for some generations and he so happen to be given this town as his post. His father works in the capital, he's the best blacksmith in the empire, no one has forged a better blade then old man Cane. OK enough of that we're here lets head in and start." Grey explained as they arrived at a huge walled courtyard big enough to the whole of London for Feng Xian's world, the walls maned by guards clad in purple armor holding spears and shields. The gates forged from the same metal that city gates were made from, watching them open ever so slowly Feng Xian felt something bad was going to happen, then he saw it, just like the history book he read for school about the Spartans and barbaric ways of training.
Some fighting with sharp blades getting slashed and stabbed, blood covering the floor, vomit mixed in. Some being held while being punched, kicked, and beaten blue. "What have I got my self into." Feng Xian thought to himself. "We usually get our men trained to the standards after a year, but sadly we don't have that much time with. So first break open your meridians instead of slowly unlocking them, that should be all you need to know for now. One a day will have them still be stable and give you enough time to recover, after we break it open the energy you feel will be like a cup being broken and all the water rushing out so after that we'll move straight to training your body. That will be your days for the next two weeks, good luck." Grey said as two guys grabbed each of Feng Xian's arms and lead him into the compound. As the doors closed behind him he felt his doom, "Lady Retribution give me strength to get through this." Feng Xian prayed as the two guys knelt him down taking off his shirt and painting a circle on his body just above his heart. "Heart comes first, are you ready?" One of the men asked. "Your body is your limit is it not?" Feng Xian replied with a question, "Yes it is." The other man replied. "Then break my limit." Feng Xian said as he looked down waiting for the pain to hit him.
