Chapter 8 - Book 1- Chapter Eight: Jin’s Memories

Book 1- Chapter Eight: Jin's Memories

In Jin's whole life living in Bulea Village, Jin has never felt the need for materials gain nor the mental gratitude from his parents. He didn't even feel the need for comfort for himself.

Before Jin was born, his mother, Sandra had a miscarriage. It was the year 5992 that the previous Blue Moon Eclipse had occurred when Sandra was supposed to give birth to Jin's older brother. But, before she was even ready, she had miscarriage already - killing the kid inside her stomach and nearly killing her, too. Sandra and Andres, Jin's father, had just married for 5 months when the Blue Moon Eclipse happened, so the child in her wasn't even close to coming out yet.

It took the Yorkin couple a whole 9 years to have a child again. That child was Jin.

However, when Sandra gave birth to Jin and Jin was so quiet, everyone in the village - who at that time was hiding underground from another Blue Moon Eclipse in a Cave to the East Bulea Village - all though that Jin didn't survive the coldness. However, to the shock of everyone in the village, Jin survived and he survived strongly, too. If only slightly too quiet.

He was born as the oldest son from the Yorkon family, officially. Jin was born in the middle of the Blue Moon Eclipse in the year of 6001 in the Solar Calendar, on the Ninth day of the Ninth Month, right at 9 O'clock in at night. Jin was born so quietly that his mother, Sandra Yorkon, had thought that she had lost him - had it not been the fact that Jin only cries out when he wanted to eat.

So, Jin has always been oddly calm and slight apathy towards everyone in the village.

Being the first successful child in the Yorkon family of three was both a blessing and yet a pity. The Yorkon family only consist of Sandra Yorkon and Andres Yorkon. There was no grandparent, aunt or uncles, cousin or relatives at all. Andres Yorkon was only 14 years old when the Blue Moon Eclipse killed his whole family. Sandra Yorkon, or formerly known as Sandra Virafray, was in the same situation. They marrying each other before the Blue Moon Eclipse was due to sympathy toward each other. It wasn't because of love. Due to losing their first unborn-child, their feeling got closer and sympathy turns into Love. And then, 9 years later, Jin Yorkon was born.

The Yorkon couple really wanted to spoil their boy rotten but... Jin was simply far too indifferent toward such things.

Even at a small village like Bulea Village, all of the other kids are still, well, kids; they are naughty, slightly-mischievous, likes to play, don't want to listen to adults and they are generally a pain in the behind to their parents. Yet, Jin was so calm and quiet that the majority of the kids in the village finds him weird. Oh, they do play with him whenever Jin's out but they don't go on their way to find Jin to play with them.

When the neighbor kids wanted to ditch their education times and go play, Jin was quietly sitting down by the window reading books that were for kids 10 years older than him. When the other kids wanted to play outside in the rain, Jin was helping his father collecting the said rain to use as water for his mother's garden. When the kids got into trouble because they went out too far away from the village and got attacked by an animal, Jin was the one that trapped that animal with a well-thought-out trick, saving the kids and even got the village a bunch of meats for free. And this, was when Jin wasn't even 5 years old yet. By the time that he was 5 years old, Jin was already known as the leader of all of the kids in the village; even if some of the kids were older than him.

Even when his sister, Samantha, was born when Jin was only 5 years old, Jin was still very calm and oddly apathy. He didn't care one bit that he got a sister. It's like- whose sister? Mine? So what? She's born? Good for her. Why? Nervous? Nah- for him.

Of course, Jin still listens to his parents, help out around the house, play with the boys in the village whenever his mother drive him away, and help his father with carpentering whenever he got home, but his feeling was still... very unconcern and oddly cold.

The kids in this village might not be noble with high educated but they are pure in thoughts and intentions, so it was easy for them to sense Jin's personality. This was why, even the most popular kids in the whole village, didn't want to make Jin their enemy. This was why even the prettiest girl their age didn't try to get close to Jin, too. Oh, Jin would be nice to everyone, even the adults. However, all of the kids feel a natural barrier that divided Jin away from everyone else, even his own sister.

This has caused both Jin's mother and father a lot of worries.

When Samantha was 6 years old, they have a party for her birthday. However, when Jin went to around the neighbor's house to invite them to Samantha's birthday, Jin found Jenna and her aunt by the road on the way to their house.

Jenna's aunt, Remni- Jin think, was going through early labor. Far too early. Jenna was only 9 years old, and Jin was 11. Seeing a heavily bleeding, heavily pregnant, woman going through childbirth in the middle of the road, any normal child would be scared shitless. Jenna was not any different as she cries with a petrified face and a shivering body by Remni's side, whom at that time was completely unconscious. Even then, Jin was completely serene. He took one look at the crying Jenna and the unconscious Remni and noted right away that Remni won't survive if he doesn't do anything. Yet, Jin was completely composed. All he did was tell Jenna to go get her mother- who was the only one in their village that might be able to save Remni.

The Jenna back then was very innocent and pure. So pure that it makes Jin feel vexed just by looking at her. Still, he didn't take her into his world view at all. Even he keeps his own sister half-a-step away from him.

And like he thought, Remni didn't survive that time. Neither does the unborn child. Ever since then, whenever he saw Jenna, her personality just got kinder and kinder, as if she's afraid of something and was compensating it with kindness. Of course, Jin wasn't interested in Jenna. In fact, he wasn't even interested in his own life.

After that time of seeing a girl cry, Jin knew that he lacks something. Something inside of him was lacking. The ability to feel empathy and concern for other people. It wasn't that Jn does not have emotions, no he has emotions alright. Just, not the kind of naive and sympathy emotions that the rest of the kids has. His moral aside, as he lacked sympathy for others, he tries to not interact with other kids too much.

Not only that, Jin, at the age of 11 years old, know right away that there's nobody out there who would be able to move his heart. Or if there was, then his feelings would be very intense and near the point of craziness. No, to the point of insanity. But for now, such emotions were lost and non-existent for Jin.

This hasn't changed even when that red dragon went and set the whole village on fire.

Jin wasn't at the village when the fire breathing dragon passed by. No, he, Luke, Lurin, and a couple of the boys in the village were going to the southernmost part of the village, near toward the ocean to collect some seashells and clams. By the times that they came back, it was right when the red dragon was on top of their village breathing fires onto some of the villager's houses before it flew away with a roar of rage.

Screams, panics, cries of desperation, and chaos was going all over the village.

Adults were coming out of their houses, only to be burned to death. Some of the boys that were with them were stupid enough to run toward their houses - as a result, burning themselves to death too. At least Luke was smart enough to stop Lurin from going anywhere near their house.

At that time, they were the closest toward Jenna's house since she lives nearer to the edge of the village. Samantha was the one that notices that Jenna's house was also on fire- No, it was already all burned down. The breathing red dragon has already flown away with a raging roar as it disappeared to the North just as the last pillar from Jenna's house collapsed with a crack and a bang.

Jin was already feeling slightly dreadful as he looks at the burning village- or what was left of it. So, he didn't think much as he went straight toward Jenna's house- only to see a collapsed Jenna outside with her forehead bleeding. It seems like her mother pushed her out of the house with enough force to cause her to bleed once her forehead makes contact with the ground. As for the rest of her family members... none survived aside from her.

Jin didn't hesitate as he picked her up and had Luke and Lurin help him move the girl away from the burning house and fields.

Jin's heart nearly skips a beat when he notices that Jenna's conscious was slipping away - as in dying. However, as soon as Jin place her on the ground and lift up her head for better breathing passage, Jenna's breathing started to climb up again. Once her breathing starts to sound like normal breathing, Jin left Jenna to the care of his sister while he and the two other boys- Luke and Lurin- went around the village to find more survivors.

Lurin found Rebecca collapsed next to a still not burned brush. Luke found the twin Hilsa and Minna. Jin found Deana, Vinna and Arise together holding each other next to the water well- which was away from the building fields. Jin also found 10 other adults who were unconscious.

By the times that Jin, Luke, and Lurin helped everyone away from the burning fields, houses, or trees, night times have already arrived.

All of the adults wakes up- even though the majority of them looks like they are losing their mind and insanity when they saw what was left of their village. It didn't even take them two days after they woke up to leave us behind. At first, when I saw the signs of abandon coming, I had hope that the adult wouldn't suddenly just left like that. But, they did.

When Jenna had woke up, she didn't cry nor does she look sad. She just looks disappointed and dismayed for a couple of hours before she makes her move. Why? Because Anise was only three years old - she still eats porridge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, she started to scavenge the greens surround the village for more fruits and edible roots. Anise took to Jenna like little duck to mother duck; trailing behind the girl 28/9.

Jin still doesn't like this girl for some odd reason. His intuition doesn't buzz like that one time he nearly killed his sister by accident nor was his instinct telling him to be careful of this girl but he still doesn't like her. She's very kind. She gives her food away, her water, her blanket, her kindness. And worse of all, her stupidity. Her actions was causing a lot of the kids to not mature as they should. Even Rebecca look at Jenna like she's crazy sometimes when she doesn't eat her portion of the meal and give it to Vinna or Arise.

As a result, not only was she getting weaker and weaker over time, her mental health was also steadily declining into a zone of self-hypnosis. In the two years that the kids survived by themselves, Jin did the best that he could without making himself feel like struggling Jenna for causing his mind to ache due to her action. No matter what he said or do, Jenna JUST. DOES. NOT. LISTEN! She wasn't eating as she should, she wasn't resting when she has to, and oh god, Jin just wants to knock the girl out. But since Jin can't do that, either, he just leaves her alone to her action most of the times while he did his things.

Over the two years that they had lived by themselves, Jin went to the North, where he really shouldn't go to due to the Lord of the River and the hordes of beasts there, he went to the South, where he finds some Balint trees that are edible, he went to the West where the nearest prairie field of grasses for making straws shelters was at, and he even went to the East, where a large mountain cliff that protected the lands from the sea of the South and the ocean of the West stood on.

He founds fruits trees, edible greens, materials for shelters, small animals that he could catches and herbs that even he could recognize from how his family had used them before.

Even then, Jenna was the one that contributes to what we were eating a lot. Edible greens that Jin don't recognize, herbs that he has never seen before because it was already grounded when he used them before, and sometimes, fishes that she got from where Jin suspected to be near where the Lord of the River reside.

... Okay, so Jenna has an impulsive side to her. Who knows.

And oddly enough, she never meets the Lord of the River whenever she when there to get some leftover-fish.

And then one day, Jenna was gone for a full half-day. Jin doesn't feel worried for the girl. He doesn't even feel worried about himself and his sister- why would he worry for someone else? They search for her for a couple of hours but then again, they do have to do their own task to make sure that they survive for another week so they stopped. Jin went to get more Balint milk but when he came back that evening, Jenna was back.

Only, for some strange reason, Jin knew that this Jenna was not the same Jenna as before. If the Jenna from before make Jin wanted to struggle her then the Jenna now make him both confused and worried- slightly.

This Jenna was slightly more quieter, more calming, and seems more mature. There are fatigues within her body frame that cause Jin to feel both confused and worried.

So, it makes sense that he would pay more attention to her as he tries to figure out what was different about this girl. And then, before Jin knew it, his eyesight would always be on Jenna whenever he could.

Jin didn't know since when he started to think of Jenna as someone precious. He only knows that ever since that day that he came back from gathering more Balint Milk, he had noticed that Jenna has changed. Change to someone who, for some strange reason, seems very familiar to Jin - much to his own confusion.

And gradually, something inside of him also started to awake as each and every action of Jenna came to be. First was the soup that Jenna could suddenly cook. Next, was the fact that her charisma as leadership was also getting stronger and stronger, to the point that sometimes, Jin forgot that he's the older one. And then, the fact that Jenna could identify herbs, greens, and plants that Jin have never notice before. Jin knew that those herbs and greens aren't something that should still be growing at this time of the year, too. So, how did Jenna came upon them in this part of the world?

One night, right after Jin finished scouting out the surrounding house for scavenging, he came back to the sight of Jenna looking dazedly at the stars.

Looking at the stars was fine and all but... Why does it seem like Jenna was crying?

That night, Jin had a long dream. A dream of a small, adorable, green hair girl who has the luck that could literally kick the heaven off their high pedal. A very special young lady that causes Jin to feel emotions for the first time ever since he could remember.

That girl with the long wavy green hair, big bright eyes, and small pink lips was oddly... Uncleared in the dream. He can't see her features all the way, just the parts that really grab his attention. Her personality, for example, was a lot alike to a certain girl that Jin know. Only, for this girl called Megie, she was very...small and tiny. Too small and tiny for girls her age. It wasn't like she didn't get enough to eat, no, that's not it, it was more of the fact that her inborn constitution was just... Tiny.

A very tiny- as in little girl but has the personality of a saint; just not a blind saint. She's very kind, clever, intelligent, not a pushover doesn't hold a grudge at all, a genius in using magic and alchemy, even without anyone teaching her, and most importantly, Megie wasn't like Jenna. She was kind, yes, but her kindness wasn't a blind kindness like Jenna's kindness. Her kindness doesn't cause harm or total goodness, but rather- a neutral kind of kindness.

Jin only has one word when describing this little girl's personality; Forest. Large, wild, untamed, untainted, clean forest.

The scenes went by too fast for Jin's liking but he does notice that this girl was born with a mixed constitution. What? Jin wasn't sure as the scene went by far too fast for him to get a good reading on.

He watches the scenes changed within this dream as the scenario went by so fast that he barely has any time to catch it. The ones that make the most impression on him, however, was still the girl called Megie. She was training? In her own magic and a teen named Kainen was teaching her himself. For a split second, Jin thought that he saw Megie looking over to where he was at but then her eyes just turned back to the teen Kainen and smile brightly at him. Damn, that nearly made his heart skip a beat.

... Jin was not jealous of Kainen. Not at all. Nor was he jealous that Megie gets to learn magic. Hmm? Weird, why does it feel like Jin could do those 'magic' too?

When he woke up, Jin only knows that his heart fills very heavy and stuff. Like, something was kicking and punching his heart, causing his heart to be very sore and solemn. Still, after a couple of silent seconds, he would return to his composed self.

That was the start of those dreams - no, was it really a dream?

As each day went by, more and more of the scenario inside the dreams started to play out more slowly. However, no matter how clear a scene was, Jin can't see the face of that little girl fully at all.

Inside the dream, there was literally thousands of different kind of locations and experiences that Jin had seen. Anywhere that Kainen and Megie went, Jin could see them all.

A world of pure ice. A place that was literally built on top of a flaming mountain. A place that - no a world - that was literally within a flower. A gate that opened to hell- which have 999 levels! A dungeon? Or underground cave that was literally a maze of more than 99,9999 veins or ways, full of bloodthirsty beasts, that reaches all the way to the innermost part of a world. Or a dragon so large that it makes the fire breathing dragon that set his village on fire looks like ants? Or how about a small dragonfly that's capable of cutting down a whole mountain and flipped it over twice without any effort.

Yeah. Jin wouldn't even bother to flinch the next time he sees beasts after seeing those abnormal beings from the dreams. Not only that, those 'places' aren't the least danger. The sense of Terror that Jin feel from that one small place called "Dark Caesar's Cage" was something that caused Jin's heart to nearly stopped in dread. It was only one small house but- damn if Jin feels like his very soul was being attacked when he saw it. How in heaven's hell does 'Carrous' being able to withstand that presence was beyond Jin. No, how the hell was Megie and Kainen being able to withstand that being was beyond Jin!

There was even large Bulbasaur beasts like that former Lord of the River that lived near Bulea Village. Only, the size was literally a thousand times larger.

Jin nearly pissed his pant when he sees that those Bulbasaur inside that dream was being used as a transport device and even for food. Barbeque Bura-meat(what that world called the Lord of the River), stew hot pot bura, etc., etc.... Yeah, you get the point.

Still, as time went on, the dream become clearer and clearer, making it possible for Jin to actually see what needs to be seen, know what needs to be knowledge, and comprehend what needs to be knowledge. It was to the point that Jin wasn't even surprised anymore when he saw the scene of a large pitch dark wolf swallowing a whole planet in one bite. He just blinked in interest and waited for the next scene to come by.

What? Such a scene was already seen by Jin for so many times that Jin didn't even bother to feel scared anymore, okay?!

One night, right after Jin, Jenna, Luke, and Rebecca searched Jenna's mother secret stash, Jin went through a dream that lasts far longer than any other dream so far. In this dream, oddly enough, it wasn't from the same person as before.

No, in this dream, it was from the perspective of someone called "Leon Forestang". An orphan who came out of nowhere. Literally. Jin doesn't know how he knew but he knew. He knew instinctively that this man was Kainen. Kainen Moonshine. How? The fact that Leon was searching for that little girl with the long wavy green hair- even though that little girl was a full grown woman already. And the fact that when he saw her again, both Jin and Leon's heart nearly stopped from both relief, pure happiness and yet dread.

The girl-woman- was walking calmingly down the street of a village in the middle of the night. There was no one there and the light from the surrounding houses was already out. Not even a dog was awake.

Leon, who was standing behind a large maple tree froze as he seen the girl's expression. At first, Jin was confused by the utterly shocked look in Leon's face but when he turned to see what caused such expression on the usually calm Leon's face... He too was completely frozen. In dread and anger.

Why? Because the little girl from Jin's previous vision was nowhere to be found now. Her looks were still the same as how the last time that Jin had seen her in his previous dream- even though he can't see her facial expression clearly. In fact, it looks like not even a day or month has passed by with this little girl.

Leon took one look at her and he stopped dead on his feet with a look of utterly devastating. Why? Because of the permanent tears on that girl's face and the lack of emotions that both Jin and Leon could see.

On that girl's face, there were two strips of blood tears permanently flowing down. Each step that she took, a drop of blood would fall down from her eyes. Each movement that she did, she did it unconsciously. Her eyes aren't clear and it was obvious that she was sleep-walking or she wasn't conscious of what she was doing.

Jin had to watch as Leon jumped out from behind the tree and hugged the girl into his chest as he cries while trying to shake that woman awake. Jin feels like his heart was being submerged in a cold spring of ice and fire, causing it to clench in pain. Jin watches that seem for like three hours or so but, the girl in the long wavy green hair didn't respond.

It was then that Jin notices; the date on the Post Board in that village, that, the girl went through with tears in her eyes.

.... What? 2,390 years have passed by already? Oi, oi, oi! What's going on?!

But... Megie looks exactly the same as that night!

Jin doesn't know why but dread started to settle down inside his heart.

When he woke up that morning, Rebecca was shaking him awake because he looks like he was suffocating inside his dream. It took Jin a couple of hours by himself to fully calm down enough to go downstairs.

Oddly enough, Jin didn't continue the dream after that scene. Causing him a large amount of apprehension and worries. Oh, don't be mistaken. He still dreams, but it wasn't with Leon's view on it, and from someone else's perspective. Not Leon's perspective. In fact, after that night, Jin never saw anything from Leon's view again.

Then, the views change from a first hand-experience view into something that Jin could see with a much higher world view. It wasn't from a specific view anymore.

Still, the things that Jin saw inside his dream was simply far too... unrealistic and unbelievable. Aside from the sight of seeing Megie again and again, looking like how she always did, at around 20 years old, everything that Jin had seen in the dream was simply far too much. But then again, Jin doesn't know if it was from seeing Megie that caused everything to be overwhelming or because of Megie that everything isn't overwhelming.

Nonetheless, seeing a never aging Megie, seeing her suffering at having to live for who knows how long, and seeing how her magic and her mad-science Alchemy getting more and more powerful and profounding, Jin can only say that it was very disheartened. Why disheartened? It was very so because Megie only gets stronger so that she could kill herself. There was no other reason other than that.

Can you see the horror that the world itself place Megie in? Her mental strength might be strong and her emotional stress resistance was very high but there's no one out there who would be able to stay sane when they've watched their loved one died in front of them. Multiple-times.

And Megie was always there whenever anyone that Jin suspect to be Kainen's reincarnation die. Right in front of her. Sometimes, even in her embrace. Sometimes, even in her dream too. How was Megie able to stay sane was beyond Jin. If it was Jin in Megie's place, he wouldn't be able to stay sane, that's for sure. No, in fact, Jin had already started to see the signs of Kainen going insane as each time that he saw the after-effects of his death that he left behind; mainly, Meggie's emotional and mental health.

As each dream continue to spawn within Jin's mind, his personality started to be more calm and perceptive of his surrounding. His mind strength started to increase as it fortitude itself. Jin could feel that after each dream, his mind was getting stronger and stronger.

By the time that a week passed by, he started to notice that his sight of the line would always go toward Jenna as if searching for someone. Jin doesn't know why, for some odd reason, whenever he sees Jenna, his heart would beat faster and his mood just turned more... positive.

Sometimes, a flash of long wavy green hair would appear behind Jenna's back, causing Jin to froze completely in both surprised and dumbfounded.

So, when, for the first time ever since Jin could remember, he saw Jenna's tears in that overwhelmingly calmness way that he had seen Megie cries in those dreams. Jin could feel something inside of him agitate and disorientated in a very off-course perplexed way. Jin's heart and soul feel like it was going through a very peculiar mystify feeling. Like, something was coming out from the deep of his soul and it was causing him to feel very obfuscated.

And then, as suddenly as the mystify that clouded his judgment, it also clarifies itself just as fast when Jin took a very deep look at Jenna.

Jenna... No, Megie.

Jenna is Megie.

Jenna's my little Megie!

Just as Jin was about to call her Megie, Jenna suddenly twisted toward a direction with alertness in her eyes.

People? 41 People and a group of beasts?

Jin wasn't distracted that easily but since Jenna didn't see to be hiding anymore, he let it go. Jin has a feeling that forcing Jenna won't be a good idea. He was still hoping that Jenna isn't Megie.

Because otherwise, that would mean that Kainen and he are the same soul? Jin forcefully stops that thinking. Right now was not the time.

Later that evening, after the merchant had introduced themselves and Jenna had deemed them not hostile, Jenna and Jin were sitting with Captain Clapton, Keith, Mark and Miss Lineah by the dining table.

Suddenly, Jenna looks at Linah and saw how the older woman was helping Rebecca with a soft glaze in her eyes, Jenna's eyes turned daze and suddenly there were signs of tears coming out from her eyes. Even though for some odd reason, her expression was completely neutral, Jin could tell that Jenna was very sad and solemn all of a sudden.

Jin's heart clenched painfully at the sadness in Jenna's eyes.

"Jenna?" Jin asked with a tense voice. Why? Why does Jin feel hurts when Jenna feels sad? Pity? No, it's not pity. Jin was never one to feel pity for other people- he doesn't even feel pity for himself!

Compassion? Sympathy? No, that's that it either.

Ever since Jin could remember, there was only one person that has made Jin's heart clench painfully with distress and emotions. That person was the only girl that Jin had feel anything for, even though it was from within the dream realm, only.

No way.

Don't tell me... Megie and Jenna...

They're really the same person?

Jin feels so happy, ecstatic even, that Jenna might be Megie. But then when he remembers his latest dream and recalled from the dream that Megie was more than a million years old, his mood turned stressed, sad, and melancholy so fast that Jin barely registered what Captain Clapton was saying.

Jin pinches his thigh to force his mind off that topic. His head feels like it was spinning and it was already throbbing in pain from his thinking.

"-why we chose this region to come to," Jin's attention went back to what Captain Clapton was saying.

Why does that sound so familiar? This region was the reason why this group of merchant came here?

Does this far corner of the world have something that the merchant doesn't want to give up on? A business opportunity?

Captain Clapton looks oddly excited as he continues on, "You do know that there are another egg-laying animal species that are similar to the crockatrice and the chickens? Its called the Rooster Snaketail." Captain Clapton introduce with a twinkling in his eyes as he took out a couple of paper that have drawing of the so-called Rooster Snaketail.

It looks like a huge crockatrice and a chicken but with tails that were snakes. Reading the details listed on the paper, Jin notices that each snakehead have their own kind of poison. The Main Snakehead was always a mana draining poison head.

Hm? Interesting.

Jin could already think of 4 ways on how to defend these Rooster Snaketail... However, Jin wonders if these Rooster Snaketails and the Crockatrice are from the same ancestor.

If they are, then it might be possible for Jin and Jenna to domesticate them like how they had domesticated the Crockatrice.

"D-domesticate Rooster Snaketail?!" Captain Clapton nearly choked on his split. Suddenly, Captain shouted that out as he nearly splitter his cup of herbal water into Jin's face.

Oi, be careful! Just what are you doing?

"What?" Yeah, what, Captain? Why are you looking at Jenna like she's crazy?

"Miss Loveheart, that's impossible!" Captain's face was oddly aggressive as he denied the possibility of breeding and domesticating the Rooster Snaketail. Wow, this guy's very inflexible with his thinking.

"Hmm? What are you talking about? It is possible," Both Jin and Jenna answered back at the same time, causing them to look at each with comprehension in their eyes. Ah- so Jenna really does know a way to domesticate the so-called Rooster Snaketail! I kind of think that it might be possible with if we're to use the same method that we used on the Crockatrice, then it might be possible. If Jenna also think the same, then the chances of that happening are higher and higher!

In fact, Jin's 80% sure that it will succeed!

Linah, who was helping Rebecca with her assignment, turned toward Jin and Jenna and yelled out her question with a voice that nearly caused Jin's eardrum to burst.

Oh- for the love of- This lady's voice was loud!

Hmm? Odd? Since when were Jin's senses so strong?

He knew that ever since he started to train and learn magic with Meg- Jenna, his body and senses were getting very strong but since when did it get this strong?

"We don't know yet. You got to have to wait for the results." Jin answered Linah as he sits back on his wooden chair with a grin stretch across his face. A look of precaution within the glimmering of his eyes and a flash of lightning lite across his face, so fast that only Jenna notice it.

Why are you looking at me like that, Meg- I mean, Jenna?

A light footstep resounds from his left.

"Sister Jenna, do you know where we put the sugar cane blocks at?" Samantha's voice came from the kitchen even before her body show up at behind Jin. Samatha's bad habit of scratching her head when she's puzzle came to play as she asked Jenna with a look of frustration and gloominess.

Ah- The sugar cane blocks. Another one of the things that caused Jin to be more and more confident that Jenna and Megie are one person.

After all, Jin knew for a fact that the old Jenna hates sugar cane even though she does like sweets. Who doesn't like sweet?

Jenna ignored Linah's curious question as she went toward the kitchen.

Jin chuckles softly as he recalled a certain someone that nearly slipped and fall into the water well when she was thinking of sugar cane's sweet.

The next minutes and so was slightly weird because Captain Clapton keep looking at Jenna with something in his eyes that caused Jin to twitch.

And Jin was right when he has to control his impulse from literally blasting the older man to the other side of this continent not even an hour later.

Maybe Jin shouldn't tell Captain Clapton that it was Jenna who made the Ply Sheets, even though it was only the test version and not the real one.

Why? Because the first thing that the damn Captain did was to grab Jenna's shoulder.

Her shoulder...

"Oi, let go of Jenna," If Jin's voice leak with bloodlust then Captain Clapton have no one to blame but himself.

"Ah- Sorry," The older man stretches his head as he looks sheepily at Jin and Jenna.

Still, it seems like Captain Clapton didn't want to let go of this business opportunity even when Hawk and Mark both dragged the man out to sleep for the night. That man just won't shut up! Don't he knows that it was not healthy for kids to not get enough sleep!

That night, Jin went into a light-coma.

He doesn't dream but for some odd reason- Jin was completely unaware. Jin was a semi-light sleeper, so for him to be so deep in a coma that he couldn't even be aware of his surrounding, was alerting.

Jin doesn't know why but he has a feeling that something critical was happening to his soul - something that Jenna's mother's book had touched upon when he was reading it. All Jin knew was that his very being was going through something critical and he shouldn't be awake or conscious for it. So, Jin didn't fight the light - or not - coma that he went into.

While Jin was sleeping, he didn't know that his so fall dreams were going through a reassemble into more reforms and dense strings. Inside Jin's soul, something stirred with a large wave of water and blood. A large splashed of something dark and heavenly majesty shot out from the wave of water into the air before it turns into gas and fog, dissipating into small mist above the wave of blood and water. The mist gathered into drops of water before it dropped back into the wave of blood and water- or what seems like water.

If you have the sight, you could see that each drop of water that was gathered from the mist, was a drop of memory. Each drop of memories was clearer than the one before.

This continue on for the rest of the night.

The next morning, Jin wakes up feeling slightly... calm. No, too calm. Jin look at the ceiling of his room that he shared with Samantha and blinked. Samantha was still asleep a bed away.

Jin quietly got up and went downstairs, where Jenna was already there stretching. Aineah and Linah were there too, making breakfast for the adults. It seems like they got up a couple of minutes earlier than me and Jenna.

"Morning, Jenna and Jin," Linah greeted Jin and Jenna with a slight smile on her face.

Jenna twitches slightly as if Jin's presence surprised her. Nah- that can't be.

"Morning, Jenna." Jin greeted her with a yawn as he finished washing his face with a cloth.

Afterward, Jin helped Jenna with her task like he was already so used to do so without being told. Odd? How do I know how to rolled oats? And odd? How do I know how do some of this task? Like with the cotton seeds...

And then, suddenly, Jenna wanted to go forage for more greens.

No way! Don't go, Megie!

"Jenna, where are you going?" Jin asked, trying to hide the nervousness that his heart was going through.

Jin's heart skipped a couple of beats as he tried to catch up to Jenna, unknowingly using one of the automatic inscribe seal incarnation on the cooking stove as he rushed to grab a basket for him.

"Let's go, Little Jen!"

Jin feels strangely suffocating...

Before he knows it, Jin's vision blackout and a piercing ache started to burn from the deep of his soul.

The last sight that he saw was Jenna's slightly confused and terrifying face before his vision was completely out.
