Chapter 113 - A Girl’s Journal

When Sophia was alive, she didn't know that the journal had such expensive materials because if she knew she would definitely return the gift despite loving it very much. This was also the reason why Wisteria and Hue did not tell her about it and gave it to her without explaining its value.

They modified the lock but did not change the cover which was slightly burned as it will change the overall design and meaning if the journal was given to Reen as her sister like it that way. They did try their best to restore it to its original appearance so it was not as upsetting as it was when they first found it.

"But just be aware that we do not know what is written inside her journal, though we change the locked we never read anything within it. You may choose to read it or just hide it as a memento." Wisteria said

Reen nodded staring at the journal on her hands. Hue was actually curious of its content and wanted to read it but when Wisteria found out his intention she immediately hid it and had only taken it out when Hue promise to not read its content.

Wisteria as a woman who kept a journal herself knew the privacy that a young girls' heart would want to keep to oneself. They being only their Godparents have no right whatsoever to read this.

Even if Sophia died she believed that she would still want this journal to be forever kept a secret if she knew it survived the fire, they were willing to give it to Reen despite this belief as she can use it when she wants remember and revisit her memories with her precious sister.

Though they did decide that they will not tell her about her past and they were not even sure what was written on the journal they will and still give Reen the freedom to choose to whatever she wants to do with her family's memories.

Reen who received this odd gift from them besides the necklace was not that eager to actually find out her past memories yet that time. She also had reservations to read another person's (though it was her sister) journal as she knows too unconsciously or not the precious and intimate things that one may write on the said journal.

She felt it was rude to actually read something so private. She then hid the book on one of shelves in her room while she was still deciding to read it or out until eventually it slip her mind and she forgot about its existence.
