Reen coughed loudly to distract both adults from their reverie. They stared at her still a bit consumed by their own feelings.
"I think it was actually a good thing that this happened…" Reen started saying
"What good thing?! Because of them... you! You!" Hue couldn't help but explode. She was even trying to cover the b*stard!
"D-dad..." Still having a bit of difficulty calling him this way but this effectively calmed Hue a bit, she hadn't shared anything regarding meeting the peculiar couple as she believes it is not the time yet.
"…Because of what happened I actually remembered what transpired that year." She continued as she drank her tea trying to keep her voice from shaking.
Hearing this, the couple stiffened yet again. Seeing the stiff looks from them both she hurriedly said.
"I know you didn't what me to remember… That you felt guilty for what happened… I was too young then and you thought I would have eventually forgotten about it..." She exhaled then continued saying
"…That I could move on and have a happy life in ignorance and bliss… But contradictorily enough you still trained me repeatedly instilling that I should learn to defend myself."
They could not help but looked at her in awe, she actually knew what they were intending to do. They never wanted her to go back into that filthy world again, for her hands to be stained like theirs yet they still insisted her to be trained as to prevent anything similar from that time to happen.
Intense guilt emerged in the couple's heart remembering the past.
Reen remembered everything upon waking up from the hospital. She needed to comprehend everything so she temporarily locked them away.
This was also one of the reasons why she wanted to immediately go home, to recollect her thoughts.
She then recounted what happened after they left that day.
.....
After arriving and settling everything down, Wisteria and Hue had immediately left to inform the crew about the change of plans. Reen was grateful for this as she finally had the time to sort her mind out.
She told the servants not disturb her and just leave her dinner at the kitchen and they can retire for the night.
She locked herself inside her room and then remembered the red cover with a black puzzle piece book her sister left behind. She searched through one of her shelves and finally found it. She then unlocked it using the puzzle pendant on her neck as the key.
Upon opening the book and reading the first page content similar with Uoron [1], she felt a bit scared and decided to take a walk to clear her mind before continuing to read it.
