The world is changing, the wheel of destiny never stop turning. Much of what once was, is now no more. None now live who remembers the story, of the persecution of the church, nor of the founding of the kingdom Neverwinter. The age of witches and magic, has become the age of machines and technology.
Hundreds of years has past since the late king Roland passed away. Despite attaining mystical power from the land of dreams, age slowly crept up. Although magic sustained and prolonged his lifespan, he still has to say good bye one day to his dearly beloved queen Anna. Having well stricken in years, the king felt lucky to still enjoy the beautiful visage of youthful queen Anna before he closed his eyes one last time.
Having won the battle of the divine will, human race and witches live harmoniously side by side, just as the king has long envisioned. His effort to bring about the age of technology has come to fruition much faster thanks to the help and support of the witches. Under the benevolent rule of Queen Anna, kingdom Neverwinter flourished like wildfire, spreading joy and warmth and light of hope to the surrounding primitive world. Before long, technology is used daily for both witches and common man alike.
However what comes up must go down. What once flourish, must still come to an end. prosperity bred complacency, and complacency is the greatest threat to progress.
With the advent of technology, kingdom citizen has seen less and less of magic usage performed by actual witches within its rapidly blooming modern society. Long years of peace has seen an integrated technology whereby magic stones and magic power integrates with machinery, so much that it has become one entity. Actual witch awakening happened only once in a blue moon, Devils attack and the month of demons has become an old wives tale.
This story started somewhere at the edge of the southern parts of the Neverwinter kingdom, a satellite city bordering the vast desert of the Osha's clan. The rare awakening of a young witch, foretold to bring restoration to nature's power imbalance.
