As Poe and Lucia was running away from the giant tunnel the shaking of the ground grew more and more. Some nearby warriors and mages also felt the shaking and looked towards the tunnel in the ground before turning pale.
"I-is that not the tunnel of that giant w-worm…?"
"Y-yeah and from the looks of it, the worm have woken up! Let's get out of here while we still can."
"Damn, I was almost out of this desert, that annoying worm just had to wake up!"
Saying so, the people in the surroundings quickly started running away, ignoring the worms they were fighting.
Poe and Lucia, who heard what the mages and warriors in the surroundings said, started running even faster.
Ivy on the other hand only ran a little more before stopping in place and looking towards the opening of the tunnel in excitement.
The shaking of the ground grew more and more intense, until something shot out of the ground and landed heavily on the ground in front of it.
Looking at the giant worm that came out of the tunnel, Poe was shocked. The worm was easily a seventy meters long and part of its body was still inside the tunnel, Poe guessed that it was around 100 meters long.
"HAHA, indeed! Finally a good opponent! I need to kill a boss monster 10 levels above mine to get my class upgrade. This worm fits perfectly!"
As Poe stopped and looked towards the giant worm in amazement, he heard Ivy laughing in the distance. Hearing what she said, Poe quickly used inspect on Ivy and the giant worm.
[Ivy, human fire ???, lvl 24]
[Titles: Fire ???; Grandmaster Pervert; Titan Slayer; ???]
One of Ivy's title had disappeared, but another title started to look more and more disturbing in Poe's eyes. Ignoring the development of the pervert title from Ivy, Poe looked at the worm.
[Giant sand worm, lvl 35]
[Titles: King of The Worm Desert; ???]
Looking at the level 35 boss monster, Poe was scared. Looking at Ivy, who was going to fight the giant sand worm, Poe felt worried. Looking towards Lucia it was easy to see that she was worried about Ivy.
Ivy on the other hand looked excited as she felt the strong aura of the worm.
Compared to other monsters worms, sandworms did indeed have teeth. Opening its circular mouth, an array of sharp teeth showed up in front of Ivy. Twisting in different ways, the giant sand worm soon got out of the tunnel and looking at it from a distance, Poe estimated that it was over 100 meters long!
Twisting around for a bit, Ivy felt it was annoying and disgusting to look at and fired a fireball towards it.
The instance the fireball was about to hit the worm, sand rushed up from the ground and blocked the fireball. The worm turned its mouth towards Ivy and let out a roar before slithering towards Ivy.
*ROAR*
Instead of shooting the worm with fire spells, Ivy put on a pair of what looked like leather gauntlets. Slowly opening and closing her fist, Ivy looked towards the incoming worm with a ferocious smile creeping onto her lips.
As the worm closed in on her, Ivy triggered an explosion below her feet flying out of the worm's path. The worm stopped after seeing Ivy disappearing. Turning around the worm saw Ivy slowly coating her entire body in fire before running towards it.
While running towards the worm, Ivy sensed something below her and quickly jumped to the side, just as she jumped to the side several earth spikes shot out of the ground in the path she previously went.
*ROAR*
Seeing that the earth spikes missed the worm let out an annoyed roar, as it made its way towards Ivy.
Soon a battle ensued.
Ivy was hitting the worm on the side and on top of it, her fists literally exploding in a fiery splendor. The worm did not lose out as it used both sand and earth magic against Ivy.
Several javelins made of earth flew towards Ivy constantly, sometimes she dodged them and other times she used fire magic to destroy them before they hit her. The worst part about fighting the giant sand worm was not the earth magic, but the sand magic. They were after all in a desert.
The moment Ivy landed on the ground or on top of the worm; sand would gather around her feet and try to bind her. The only thing she could do was use fire magic to explode the area below her feet, but even if fire magic did not damage her a lot, it still damage her.
After fighting the worm for more than 5 minutes, Ivy was slowly showing signs of fatigue.
Poe and Lucia, who saw Ivy getting exhausted started worrying about her.
"W-we need to help her!"
"Y-yeah, we can't let the worm exhaust her! But how?"
Lucia answered Poe while looking towards her sister worriedly.
"Ah, Look! The mages and warriors who ran in the start also stopped! Can't we get them to help?"
Saying so, Poe looked at the mages and warriors, who ran in the start, but had stopped and looked towards the giant sand worm and Ivy fighting shocked and speechless.
"Y-yeah, but how do we get them to help?"
Lucia said as she looked at the warriors and mages in the surroundings.
"Don't worry! Leave it to me!"
Poe said as he looked determined towards the scattered mages and warriors.
"E-everyone!"
As Poe shouted out, the mages and warriors slowly woke up from the shocked state they found themselves in and looked over towards where Poe was standing.
"E-everyone, Please hear me out, help my friend! She is fighting the giant sand worm all alone and can't hold on for much longer!"
As Poe said this, he looked at the surrounding mages and warriors in anticipation.
