Chereads / The Mage Poe / Chapter 13 - The fall of King Fluffy

Chapter 13 - The fall of King Fluffy

Sneaking closer to the wild goblins small village, Poe finally got in range of the first hut. Looking at the hut in front of him, Poe looked through the window seeing a wild goblin sleeping inside.

[Wild goblin, lvl 5]

Seeing the little innocent wild goblin just lying there sleeping, Poe got an idea of how to get all the wild goblins in the village to follow him on his noble quest.

Slowly creeping closer, Poe was directly in front of the. The wild goblin feeling something wrong wakes up, but it was too late and what greets it is a stick to the face knocking the goblin out. Having knocked out the goblin, Poe lifts it up and carries it outside the village.

When Poe got out of the village, he lays it down as if it is sleeping and goes back towards the fluffy rabbit village to get what he needed for his plan to succeed.

30 minutes passed and Poe came back to the passed out wild goblin with 5 lvl 1 fluffy rabbits. Grabbing them by the ears and holding them up. They were passed out just like the wild goblin.

Poe fired shook the fluffy rabbits awake while shooting a mana ball at the sleeping wild goblin in front of him while slipping away from the crime scene.

The goblin let out an angry scream being close to its last breath. Looking around, it saw the 5 fluffy rabbit just standing there looking around themselves with confused looks on their fluffy faces.

Looking at the 5 fluffy rabbits the wild goblin let out some weird growl, which alerted the village just behind it, Just before it died it saw its brethren coming to help it while the fluffy rabbits started to run away from the crime scene towards the fluffy rabbit tribe in the distance.

Looking at the scene, Poe thought that his plan was successful, but a fireball flew over from the distance incinerating the poor fluffy rabbits.

Looking towards the source of the fireball, Poe got a little scared.

[Wild goblin, fire mage, lvl 16]

That was a monster with a class… Poe fought one, but it was below level 10 and did not shoot with fire.

Thinking that he failed, Poe got ready to use himself as the bait thinking of using mana balls to deflect the fireballs from the wild goblin fire mage, but Poe's worries were without cause as the wild goblin began to walk towards the fluffy rabbit tribe to get revenge for their fallen brother.

Maybe the wild goblins were just misunderstood as a race and were actually quite heroic?

Well… That thought died out quite quickly when he saw the wild goblin fire mage looking towards the incinerated rabbit with lust shinning in its eyes…

So wild goblins prefer fluffy rabbits… This war would all be for the wild goblin fire mage getting some bunny meat…

Looking at the scene of the wild goblin fire mage gently touching the fluffy rabbit meat that were left behind made Poe's stomach turn a little.

"Ah… What have I done…? How can the cute fluffy rabbits resist that brutish wild goblin fire mage now that their leader is injured…?"

Poe was starting to feel bad for the fluffy rabbits, hoping they would win after he took out their leader, king fluffy.

Following from a distance, Poe watched a few hundred wild goblin following the wild goblin fire mages lead to attack the fluffy rabbit tribe.

After the wild goblin marching on for a few minutes they arrived in front of the fluffy rabbit tribe.

The fluffy rabbits had most likely heard the wild goblins approaching and were standing ready at the entrance to their tribe with the fluffy king standing at the front.

Even injured, it looked quite fear inspiring… Well as fear inspiring a giant ball of fluffiness can be.

The wild goblin fire mage also looked quite interested in the giant ball of wool, but that was another form of interest…

Another few minutes passed of the fluffy rabbit and wild goblin army starring at each other before the wild goblin fire mage launched a fireball towards king fluffy. This was the signal that began the war.

The fluffy king summoned a giant wall of what looked like cotton candy blocking the fire mages attack. Having blocked the attack the army of both wild goblins and fluffy rabbits jumped at each other in a bloody war for survival… The fluffy rabbits were quite scary. Jumping around biting into the throats of the wild goblins. The wild goblins did not lose out either as they were smashing the fluffy rabbits into mincemeat and biting into those that they did not hit in time to stop from jumping them.

This was indeed a war between monsters.

Poe who looked at this scene could not help but throw up what he ate earlier. This scene was truly bloody and brutal, Poe who had never really scene something like it before, even when the cave bats and cave spiders fought all Poe did was hide most of the time, so he did not see the bloody fight back then. The only thing he saw was bat meat or spider meat everywhere.

As the wild goblin fire mage and king fluffy fought, Poe used the time to calm down. Watching the fight from a treetop until he could watch without throwing up.

Having used 10 or so minutes calming down and throwing up, Poe could finally focus towards the fight of the wild goblin fire mage and king fluffy. Just as Poe looked over he saw King fluffy finish off the wild goblin fire mage with a slash from the claws that came out from its cute fluffy paws at some point in the fight.

Poe looked at the half-dead king fluffy and without thinking, he jumped down from the tree he was hiding in and ran towards it.

Seeing an elf suddenly coming towards it made king fluffy let out a sad and exhausted sigh before everything turned dark.

Poe, who managed to kill the fluffy king, ignored the items that came from it other than the magic stone that he grabbed just as he ran away from it.

The only thing he did to kill it was hit it with the mana enchanted stick. It would most likely have died even if he did not kill it, after the fight with the wild goblin fire mage it most likely pushed itself too much already.

Not thinking so much more over it, Poe ran as fast as his legs could carry him away from the battleground.
