Chapter 17 - Physical training begins!

At daybreak, in the forest two figures can be seen running and jogging at regular intervals. After running for 5 Km they turn around and start jogging on their way back.

As her body is presently weak, He Mei Ya slumps down on the ground as there is no strength left in her.

He Jian allows her to rest for few minutes before reprimanding her " If you are tired after running 10 km, then you can forget about becoming strong. Get up!! Your body has no flexibility now. You know it better than me. So stop lazing around and start your yoga postures."

He Mei Ya understood her brother's words clearly. She learnt yoga in her past life. After practicing for a month her flexibility increased by many folds. After an year her blood flow and complexion improved a lot because of a set of breathing exercises in yoga.

Understanding this she turns facing the direction of sun and starts performing 'Surya namaskaras' [sun salutation exercises], a set of 12 exercises for a period of 20 min . After warming up her body, She sits down and starts doing several exercises like bending her arms around her head and her hips. In this time He Jian can be seen doing push ups and muscle development exercises.

After approximately 2 hrs He Mei Ya completes her yoga. She gets up and starts doing push ups . She the picks up a big rock and starts lifting it with one hand. After an hour, both He Jian and He Mei Ya eat some dried meat and rest for a while.

After a while, they start sparring with wooden spears.

"Clank.. Clank.."

Both enter into dead lock position. He Mei Ya raises her leg to hit He Jian on his chest. He Jian dodges her attack and glides to her back attacking her. He Mei Ya swiftly turns around and blocks the attack.

The duel goes on for about 4 hours and stops only when He Mei Ya falls on the ground.

He Jian reaches out his hand and pulls her while praising her " Not bad, you will be in your form in a week. Let us continue this training for a week. After resting for a while, continue practising your yoga. We can start cultivating from next week."

He Mei Ya can feel the changes in her body after 3 days.

Her flexibility increased. But, she is too skinny.

He Jian personally took care of cooking. Most of her meals are eggs and chicken soup. After one week He Mei Ya felt that she had put on a few grams on her body.

On seventh day..

" Clank.."

The sound of a person and a staff falling on ground can be heard.

"Brother, You lost.." a charming voice with a hint of laughter can

be heard.

He Jian laughs while patting the dust on his clothes. " You've improved. But still, your martial arts are not as good as mine."

He Mei Ya agreed " I know.. I am good in everything except martial arts."

"But, I will defeat you in future. So, Work hard bro.."

"..." a certain bro.

That night both of them decide to go to their own spaces to meet their respective old men to start cultivating.
