About, fifteen minutes later Dexter's bleeding had stopped but it wasn't in any state to move. If it tried to move it might reopen it's wound. As such, Aurav picked it up as it shrieked painfully and walked into a nearby house. There were no humans in it according to the
The doors were wide open as someone had abandoned the house. He reached the roof and set it down.
He stroked it's head a couple of times before he commanded it to stay.
Until, he called for it or unless there was some form of threat.
He directly jumped off of the roof as he started to head deeper into town.
He needed to aquire 1720 credits. Taming Dexter successfully had reduced that number to 1620 credits.
Whenever, he encountered a Zombie he would command to walk in the direction he came from.
Eventually, they would encounter the subordinates he'd stationed near the train.
By now he'd encountered 22 Zombies .
'Well...I still need to infect 162 humans...'
Thinking so, Aurav picked up his pace as he started to jog lightly. It was slightly annoying looking for a human group.
'F*ck...I should just abandon her, no point in investing so much...'
'Might as well buy something useful for myself...'
He shook his head as he decided to ignore it.
"Whatever....."
He continued jogging throughout the streets. Each house only had four or five people. Sometimes, more but they were too scattered.
He didn't want to go to one house at a time spend at least, half an hour breaking in and entering if he could. After, breaking into the house he would only be able to infect four or five people.
'Its too time consuming...'
As he turned the corner walking in to a very narrow street. It was only four foot wide with brick houses on both sides.
"How do people even live here?" He asked himself as he glanced at the
And sly grin formed on his face as he looked at a house on the very corner of the street.
The houses in the surroundings were completely deserted except, for the house at the corner. It had at least, more that 20 humans.
"Hehe...finally!"
"Time for a meal...."
He rubbed his hands as he communicated with Dexter and commanded it to fly over to where he was. It had been twenty to thirty minutes since he'd left it there. Considering, the miraculous effects of the
As to what extent???
He would only be able to determine that after seeing it.
'Hmm....to think that I could contact it from such a distance...'
'I should probably experiment and determine the maximum range of our mental link...'
'I won't be in a pinch in a dangerous situation if I know and understand all of the cards in my hands.'
Aurav rubbed his chin as he walked in the opposite direction to the house. There was no way he would directly confront them.
He glanced around as he tried to find a abandoned house with an open door. Soon enough, he found a house with an open door.
To be honest, it was debatable whether it could be considered a house. It had a simple orange door. Compared, to the giant steel gates with variois flowers made out of steel and the cemented walls in the surroundings this house seemed to be somewhat lacking.
As he walked in there was a brick staircase on his right with no railings,at all. A few toys for kids were lying on the ground.
He looked around and found three wood doors. One of them was under the staircase.
He opened it and a saw a hole in the ground. A few taps were on the wall with a red plastic bucket beneath it.
"Found it!"
He picked up the bucket and looked at the hole on the ground.
'Shxt!'
'This is where they poop!'
A disgusted expression was on his face as he walked out of the house.
"Haa...to think that children are living in such an unsafe environment...?"
He shook his head,thinking:
'Since, when did I become so compassionate...?'
'Whatever....'
As he walked towards an abandoned bike a sharp shriek reached his ears. It was Dexter. He was circling above his head.
<>Here<>
'Good..'
'Stay up there...'
Aurav smirked as he commanded it. It was much more convenient commanding Dexter as compared to his Zombie Subordinates.
His subordinates were only capable of understanding basic and rudimentary commands. On top of that, their intelligence was even below dogs as compared to Dexter who possessed basic intelligence at the very least.
He walked picked up the fallen bike and tried to open it's fuel tank. He twisted it a few times but unfortunately, it was locked.
'What now?'
He sat down and looked at the engine. He yanked any tube or wire. Finally, he pulled a transparent tube out and drops of fuel fell out.
"Finally!"
He put the bucket underneath and patiently waited for the fuel tank to empty out.
Soon, the hunt would begin...
