"My dad's heart is bleeding due to the loss of all the equipment," Severn said. He scratched his head as he imagined his dad brawling on the floor with tears. It was a silly thought since his dad's metal capabilities was higher than most people.
"I kinda feel bad him," Emile said with a laugh.
"He wants us to do things to make up the loss," Severn said. He got to the good part of the conversation.
"Do we get something if we help him out," Emile asked. He realized that working for free was a stupid decision since it wasted time.
"He said that he'll give one of you a Red Silver item if you guys help him," Severn said. He knew that Red Silver items were good to the players.
"A Red Silver item!?!" FBS Fulcron exclaimed. Other than Emile, most of them were relaxing with Rare ranked items and some uncommon ranked items. Only two people in the party had Red Silver items which caused the shock.
"Yep, but you need to do a good job," Severn said with a laugh.
"What do we need to do," Emile, FBS Fulcron, and Scarlet Sunset asked at the same time. It was strange for them to say the same words at the same time. The others had their ears perked waiting for a response from Severn on what to do.
"He has the materials to craft items. My dad wants you to look for lots of rank two blacksmiths and tailors to craft items with his materials," Severn said.
[Quest: Occupation Hunting]
[Objective: Hire 30 Rank Two Blacksmiths and 15 Rank Two Tailors]
[Difficulty: C]
[Comment: This shouldn't be hard if you're in the loop. Good luck with your search]
[Progress: 0/30 Blacksmiths, 0/15 Tailors]
[Quest is shareable amongst the party]
[Reward: One Red Silver item]
They received the quest to seek for occupations. The mayor forced Severn to take part in the quest with them. The mayor sent them 4500 silver coins to recruit the people. If they managed to use a fewer amount of coins, then they could keep it.
The party split up to target different areas of the quest. Four people went to the Blacksmith Guild in the city, and three people went to the Tailor Guild.
They needed to figure out the locations of the headquarters since the guilds didn't have many people higher than rank one. The guild leader was the highest-ranked person for that profession.
Emile was part of the group of four who went to the Blacksmith Guild.
They decided to use the contribution rankings to figure out who would get the Red Silver item.
Whoever contributed the most would receive the item. They used the quest as a method of determining the best talker in the group.
Emile, Scarlet Sunset, FBS Fulcron, and Nimble Rod went to the Blacksmith Guild. The other three went to the Tailor Guild.
Emile and part of his party walked to the Blacksmith Guild. They talked to the man at the counter.
"Can we... visit the Blacksmith Headquarters?" Nimble Rod asked. He stumbled with his words. He learned about the headquarters from Emile.
"State your reason?" The man sitting at the front desk without a shirt on said as he fidgeted around his chair. The man didn't like working as a desk clerk. he wanted to craft and forge items in his workshop. Luckily, he would get switched out by the end of the week.
Emile noticed a few players taking up the blacksmith proffesion. They were learning from a teacher. The game didn't auto create the item for the player. They needed to learn about the different temperatures that melted the metals. How long to hit each metal until it was forged into the right shape.
It required lots of endurance, strength, and patience. There hasn't been a player who managed to reach Rank One Blacksmith.
Most players who wanted to be blacksmiths were Rank Zero since they were in the process of learning how to forge with steel and use their tools.
Everything always correlated to talent. If you had the talent, you could reach for the stars, literally. Then there are some who can't find where their talent lays, These people get trapped in a cycle of not knowing what they're doing with their lives. Entertainment caught them in its grasp and won't let go.
Nimble Rod thought about his reason and spoke to the man.
"I want to hire Blacksmiths," Nimble Rod said sheepishly. His party members made him talk since he had trouble speaking to new people.
He grew comfortable with his party after hanging out with them for a while. He was a shy person who disliked talking to people.
"Speak louder please," the man said as he leaned in closer.
"I want to hire blacksmiths," Nimble Rod said swiftly. He was dying on the inside. He felt embarrassed when the man asked him to speak louder.
"All right, here's a one-way ticket for you and your party to go the blacksmith HQ," the guy replied without feeling the uncomfortableness that was oozing out Nimble Rod.
The man gave a pass to Nimble Rod. He also gave a piece of paper that had the directions to HQ.
Nimble Rod walked away like a machine.
Emile walked towards the man.
"Thanks for your help," Emile whispered. He didn't want Nimble Rod to learn about the fact he forgot to give thanks to the man.
"Let us leave," Nimble Rod said with a swift robotic tone.
"All right," Scarlet Sunset said with a laugh.
They walked out of the guild. Nimble Rod got rid of his robotic side. He was only embarrassed by people he had never met before.
"Guys, don't ask me to converse with others, I'm not good enough," Nimble Rod said as he put his head down and recalled the previous moment.
"And that's why we will continue to let you be the guy to talk to everyone," Emile said with a laugh.
"Sooner or later, you'll become comfortable talking to people," FBS Fulcron said. His personality was the opposite of Nimble Rod's. He was outgoing and enjoyed talking to others.
"All right, follow the directions of the note," Scarlet Sunset said.
"First, we need to head to..."
"Finally if we knock on the third door from the right, we will head into the Blacksmith HQ," Nimble
Rod said as they walked past the doors.
They had followed the directions to reach this location. It required lots of physical movement which would be easy for a blacksmith.
"This should be the place," Emile said. They were in the middle of a village on the side of a mountain. The village they were at had no players in it. It was only an NPC village until Emile and his party showed up. Players couldn't pick or spawn in this village.
Everyone in the village was a blacksmith or aspiring to be one. The children were learning how to make their muscles stronger so they could endure the continuous smashing of the hammers.
Nimble Rod was asked to knock on the door. They were testing to see how far he would go before cowering away.
