The people could go about any method of attacking. They didn't have a general to control their attacking patterns or formation. The mayor could try to be a general since he had high power and people would listen to his words.
The party that wasn't with him messaged him.
"Where are you guy," FBS Fulcron asked.
"We're near the middle of the pack," Emile replied.
"All right, we're coming towards you," FBS Fulcron said. Emile couldn't find them by looking around, so they had to resort to chatting in the party chat. Emile waited in the middle of the pack.
They soon found each other. They got into their own unique formation and ran. Emile was at the front since he was the one that could take the most damage.
Lily would use stealth and stay somewhere around the party. She could be anywhere in the party.
Scarlet Sunset stayed behind Emile. She was one of the fastest. Nimble Rod and FBS Fulcron stayed behind Emile as they charged forward. Scarlet Sunset, FBS Fulcron, and Nimble Rod were all next to each other.
Emile couldn't run at full speeds since he would outrun them. Only Flower Queen with a speed boost could catch up to Emile's speed.
Emile attacked the deer. These deer were all level 10. Most level 10 players could kill them solo. The players were having an easy time, not to mention the NPC's.
The NPC's could storm through the mobs. They didn't even get fazed by the level 10 mobs. Emile and his party had less efficiency than the NPC's since they were a higher level than their party. The NPC's were level 20-25.
The deer grew stronger with time. The deer at the front of the pack at the front of the pack were easy to kill by most players, but it escalated to a higher level deer as they continued to kill. Emile had to tank a few hits from the deer.
There seemed to be a person who wandered the battlefield and healed people. They were contributing by healing the people at the front of the pack. They healed Emile a few times. He could consider them to be a good ally to have during a battlefield.
Emile didn't have to drink any health potions due to this person. They continued to have an easy time facing off against the deer.
Soon, Nymphs appeared and deer were no more. These Nymphs could shoot out water spheres at the players and NPC's which deal a decent amount of damage.
The player had to be careful around the Nymphs since they had debuffing effects. These debuffing effects would cause their attack speed to decrease and cause the players to become dizzy. Whenever a player was dizzy, they would launch their spell in the wrong direction.
It didn't affect close-range combat. Emile couldn't use his spells since he stayed dizzy for most of the time. He was the main focus of the skills and other shenanigans. Sometimes a Priest would cast a spell that removed the debuff, but that was rare since not many people could do that.
These Nymphs died slowly.
Casualties started to take place. The healers couldn't get to everyone causing one or two players to perish. This happened each minute.
The time shortened as they continued to kill the Nymphs. The Nymphs grew stronger the more they killed them and dealt more damage to the players.
During the time they were killing the Nymphs, another group that was farther ahead killed the Deer King. They were a strong group of adventurers, so they chose to kill the stronger beings.
Emile and the other players were facing off against the normal mobs which were a challenge in it of itself.
These fights dragged on for longer periods and the players dropped like flies. Emile had to use a few Health Potions during this time.
Flower Queen continued to backstab the enemies without worry. The other party members continued attacking and dealing damage.
The group farthest ahead fought another boss. This time, Emile's party noticed the people fighting the boss. One person in the group was William who Emile met in the Adventure Guild. William gave support to Emile when he needed it.
"Guys," Emile grabbed his party's attention with a single word. Emile only spoke whenever he needed to.
"Hmm?" Scarlet Sunset said as she looked at Emile.
"We should head up and fight the boss," Emile said as he killed another Nymph.
"All right, let's create a path," Severn said. Severn was with his other party members. They met up later since his father called him over to discuss things with him.
Severn joined in on the fighting when the Nymphs arrived. They ran up to the Nymph boss and launched spells at the boss. They spammed these spells from a distance to not disturb the people who were taking the hits.
These people didn't seem to care that there were more people joining in on the fight. The more the merrier. They continued to deal damage to the boss. Emile used his other spells whenever some spells were on cooldown.
He was glad that none of his AOE spells were on cooldown since having a way to heal everyone for a short time was extremely useful.
"Emile?" William said his name when he looked around and saw him.
"Hey, William," Emile said as he gave a wave.
"It's nice to see you fight with us," William said.
"Yeah, you too," Emile replied.
They exchanged pleasantries between them as they fought. Emile's party deals a decent amount of damage to the Nymph, but much less than the other people. Those people could shoot out spells at beautiful times and attack multiple time faster than them.
The overall damage they did was much higher than Emile's party. The Nymph took thousands of damage and still hadn't fallen.
Emile couldn't identify the Nymph since it was a much higher level than him. He continued to use his skills. This was a safe time for Emile, so he wanted to be risky.
Emile tried to combine his skills as he did with water and fire. He wanted to combine lightning into the mix.
Each time he attempted it, the ball would explode in his face dealing lots of damage to him. He continued to understand the properties of each element and how they reacted with other elements.
Water and Lightning didn't work together. He needed to have a much higher skill level if he wanted to combine those two skills.
Emile tried Fire and Lightning together. After two fails in a row, it worked on the third try. He created a lightning ball that had the properties of fire. It was a ball of lightning with a red tint to it and it had a trail of fire.
Emile named the skill Blazing Lightning Ball. Short for BLB.
