Classes; a player can become anything as long as they figure out a path to become what they want. In Nirvana, there are seven main classes.
Warrior, Mage, Thief, Knight, Assassin, Priest, and Summoner. Each class had its own quirks and abilities they could use. (1)
The players could consider FBS Fulcron's class to be a magic class, but also as a fighter class. He was a hybrid of the two.
Their party didn't have any Priests, Knights, Thieves or Summoners. They needed to recruit people who had those classes.
The party had four hidden classes. Pyromancer, Earth Withering Assassin, Ancient Mage, and Cosmic Elementalist.
A hidden class gave more free attribute points and stats points to the users.
This all depends on the person. If the person doesn't know how to wield their class, then they would be much weaker than their potential.
If the player has a normal class, they could stand out from players with their display of skill. It wasn't hopeless for players with normal classes.
While Emile was grinding on mobs trying to reach level 13 he received a call.
"Hey... Emile right," John asked Emile. He decided to ask him to a fight.
"Yeah. Who is this?" Emile asked.
"I-I'm John," John stuttered his sentence out.
"Are you the one that said you could beat me with one hand tied behind your back," Emile asked.
"No that wasn't me. The other guy was going to ask you to fight me in a fair competition, but he butchered the words into a piece of garbage," John tried to put himself on the clear.
"Oh... do you want to fight in the game or in the real world," Emile had no reason to decline his offer.
"Let's fight in the game with equal conditions," John said. He felt confident once again.
"All right, what's you in game name?" Emile asked.
"Aqua Fortress," John replied.
Emile ended the call and sent a friend request to Aqua Fortress. Aqua Fortress accepted.
"Are you Emile?" Aqua Fortress asked.
"Yeah," Emile replied.
"Y-Your the number one player," John exclaimed with shock. His mind was reeling since he heard about Mystical Flame and his adventures from the World Announcements.
"Are you going to back out?" Emile asked.
"No! I only feel admiration for you, my fighting spirit won't back down so quickly," John said as he clenched his fist.
"All right," Emile said.
"Why don't you sound enthusiastic... do you not want to fight me," John said. he could see the emotion
"No... I'm feeling bored," Emile said. For the past few days, his party was doing their own business leaving him to grind and do quests with Severn.
"Maybe our fight can cheer you up," John said.
"Hopefully," Emile said as he sent the invite to a battle. The game set them up to have equal stats.
John started off by activating a buff. Emile used the same approach as all of his battles by shoot fireballs and water spheres. Sometimes he would shoot Yin-Yang Blasts.
John lived up to his reputation and dodged the attacks with ease. He activated a skill which summoned a few bats. These bats had 400 health and did a small amount of damage to Emile's health.
"You're a Summoner?" Emile shouted.
"Yeah," John replied as he summoned two more bats.
Emile was practicing some skills from his class during the past few days. He had a giant arsenal of skills to practice.
Emile practiced the lightning-related attacks since he had an interest in the ability to summon and shoot lightning at his opponents.
The proficiency of his lightning ball was around 60%. It didn't deal as much damage as his fireball or water sphere but it was faster than both of them.
The lightning ball flew through the battlefield. John summoned a water sphere and launched it at the lightning ball.
The water sphere canceled the lightning ball. His water sphere had a high proficiency which allowed him to cancel other spells.
Emile felt surprised by his skills. Emile didn't let the surprise stop his movements. He cast a water sphere. He also cast a fireball next to the water sphere so that John had to multi-task to evade each attack.
John summoned a water sphere towards the fireball and ran back to create time to cast another water sphere. The fireball and water sphere collided in midair and canceled each other out.
John cast the water sphere in time and removed the other water sphere.
He thought he could have a break, but behind the water sphere was a rotating sphere of elements. The attack was Yin-Yang Blast.
John couldn't dodge the attack since it was unexpected. He got hit by the attack which dealt a huge chunk of his health. Yin-Yang blast was a strong skill even when they were in equal scenarios.
John almost died in one hit. He summoned multiple bats and kept them flying around his vicinity. If an attack comes toward him, he could use the bats to tank a hit.
John was playing defensively.
Emile summoned a wind. He used the wind to push the bats away. A fireball flew towards John while the wind disorientated the bats. John dodged out of the way.
Emile realized that he couldn't win unless the bats died. He shot several fireballs and water spheres at the bats.
These bats fell. John summoned more bats. The fight became annoying and repetitive.
Emile ran forward and started close range combat. John took out his sword and reacted to each strike for strike.
His bats dealt damage to Emile.
John didn't take damage from blocking the strikes since they had equivalent stats. If Emile had his normal stats, he would be able to deal damage to John even if the strikes were blocked.
Emile studied John's movement and posture. He was trying to identify any areas that he could exploit to land a hit on him.
Emile made his legs bend, so he could reach a lower altitude from his standing position.
As he fell, he struck out with a horizontal slash which hit John's waist.
Emile struck again with his sword. This time he aimed the strike at the legs. John tried attacking downwards, but he perished before his strike landed.
Emile ended the battle by killing John. He didn't need to kill the bats John summoned.
"That was a fun battle," Emile said.
"Woah, you're stronger than I imagined. I want you to join my guild," John said with a fire in his eyes. Gaining a powerful person to the guild would make the guild stronger.
"Sorry, I don't want to join a guild," Emile said.
"You get a salary if you join the guild and I'll give you a high position," John tried to persuade him into joining his guild.
"No, I wanted to create a guild of my own, not join a guild," Emile said.
"Oh, then let's be friends," John said. He realized that the highest leveled player had high ambitions.
"We already are," Emile said. He already added John to his friend's list.
"One step ahead I see," John said with a laugh.
"If you need help, ask me. I can command a decent amount of people in the guild," John said.
"What's the name of your guild?" Emile asked.
"White Smoke Winter is the name of the guild," John said.
"All right, it was nice fighting you. I'll go back to grinding," Emile said. This was an interesting experience.
"All right, see you around," John said.
Emile informed Severn that he would teleport away for a short period, so Severn waited for Emile to appear. During this time, the mayor messaged Severn.
"Emile, there seems to be a problem," Severn said to Emile.
