Chapter 98 - Using the Tokens

Emile looked around the Gaming Cabin. He was looking for a place to insert the tokens into the machine.

Soon he found a small hole in the side of the cabin. This hole could fit the tokens.

Emile placed the tokens into the Gaming Cabin. He inserted all ten tokens.

Emile logged onto Nirvana to see what the tokens could do. He appeared in the Kantaro Mines after logging in.

[You have ten unused tokens]

They placed these tokens into his inventory. Emile took one out of his inventory and identified it.

Reward Token

Strong warriors receive this token.

Usage: Give random items or money.

Emile used one token.

The game gave him 50 silver coins. He used another one.

He received a rare bucket. The bucket could hold 100 liters of water which seemed useless. Emile kept the bucket in his inventory.

Emile continued to use these tokens. The eight token gave an interesting item with a lot of usages.

Flight Stone

A pendant created by a mad scientist with the desire to fly above the clouds.

Usage: The user gains the power of flight for five minutes. All fall damage is decreased by 95%.

Cooldown: 1 hour

*Note: This item is a passive item. It can be used when it is in the inventory. It has unlimited uses.

The ability to fly was desired by people worldwide. Every child has the dream to soar next to the clouds, but people realize the impossibility of it as they grow older.

Emile wanted to test out the flight abilities once again. The first time he used it, was the time when he was in the World of Swords. That time he had a ring that gave flight. This time he had a stone that gave the power of flight.

The cooldown wasn't too long for such an overpowered skill. He could use the item every hour and fly for five minutes.

His travel time would decrease if he wanted to go to a location. He could use it to escape from strong enemies or mobs.

There were many usages for this item.

Emile used the other tokens. He received 200 silver coins. Two rare rank buckets. One flight stone. Three double experience boosts he could activate anytime he wanted. The double experience boost lasted for an hour.

These were all the items he received from the tokens. The flight stone was a rare drop.

Emile's luck caused the game to give him a rare item.

The double experience boosts were useful for people who like to grind against mobs.

The people who liked to grind would have their efficiency double, and they could get farther ahead in the leaderboards. These players were trying to purchase the double experience boosts from the players who won the local events.

Throughout the world, the government handed these tokens to the winners of the local events.

There were two main reasons for these local events. One was to find out about the strong Nirvanics that lived in each city. The other reason was to keep track of the number of people who were Nirvanics.

The double experience boosts could be sold by players. Some people sold these items for a few gold coins.

It was a good deal for these players. Emile had no intentions to sell these items since he was already rich with almost 53 gold coins.

All of his party members had reached level 10. Emile learned about this by checking the party inventory.

Around 100 players were level 10 at this point. These players were getting their classes or subclasses.

Time Walker started his quest to get the Ancient Mage class. He was sent on a hunt to kill ancient monsters. These monsters were Chief ranked or Great Chief ranked, so they would be challenging to battle.

He was gaining better pieces of equipment to have a chance at fighting the great chief bosses. The quest wasn't shareable, so he had to fight these mobs by himself without the help of others.

Scarlet Sunset was analyzing the cities functions. Emile didn't know her intentions by analyzing the city,

They all used ten silver coins to teleport to White Star City.

FBS Fulcron was seeking for hidden quests. He didn't want others to disturb him.

Emile didn't know where Lily was. She didn't keep contact with the party.

The only player that wasn't doing anything was Nimble Rod.

"Do you want to go fight an Ice Phoenix," Emile didn't want to disturb the others in their endeavors. He didn't want to fight the boss by himself.

"Yes! I was getting bored." Nimble Rod said with excitement.

"Well, we need to find the place with the Ice Phoenix," Emile said with a laugh.

"Let's head to the library," Emile said.

After an hour of researching books and asking around, they found out that the Ice Phoenix was last spotted near Snow Thorn Village. This village was famous for its Snow thorn berries which grew in the surrounding locations. These berries gave off a cool feeling when eaten.

Near Snow Thorn Village, was a tall mountain named Phoenix Mountain.

The Ice Phoenix was spotted near this mountain which caused the people to name the mountain after the Phoenix. Phoenix was a terror-inducing word in the village. Everyone in the village worshipped the Phoenix due to its strength.

They used 10 silver coins to teleport to Snow Thorn village.

Emile's body shivered for a moment. The gale blew hard causing their clothes to flap around.

He activated his fire element to cool himself down. This was a feature that the elements had. Nimble Rod body ached uncontrollably.

The water element couldn't protect him from the cold. Emile cast a fireball and placed it near Nimble Rod. The heat from his fireball allowed Nimble Rod to stop shivering.

"No! Don't put the fireball near me," Nimble Rod shouted.

Emile felt surprised by his outbreak. This wasn't normal for Nimble Rod to yell at someone. He canceled his fireball.

Nimble Rod closed his eyes and embraced the cold. His body continued to ache.

Emile wanted to re-summon his fireball to stop Nimble Rod from feeling the cold.

The temperature was cold enough to get frostbite on their fingers. The cold didn't affect Emile due to his fire element.

Nimble Rod was trying something out. Emile didn't know what he was trying to do by staying in the cold.

Emile watched the passersby stop and stare at Nimble Rod with worry. these people were all wearing a large fluffy coat. These coats protected them from the cold.

One passerby took out a coat from a small bag and wanted to give it to Nimble Rod. Emile stopped the person and shook his head.

"I have the powers of fire and wanted to give him warmth, but he denied it. He'll deny your offer if you disturb him." Emile said this and summoned a fireball to show everyone that he wasn't lying.

These people watched Nimble Rod with worry. His face had a small shade of blue as ice grew on his face.

After a few moments, something unique happened.

Nimble Rod's body stopped shivering. His face changed back to the pale white face he normally had. He opened his eyes and looked around.

"What happened?" Emile asked with curiosity. He wanted to know why Nimble Rod had an outbreak and why he wanted to stay in the cold.
