Chapter 90 - Exploring the Temple

Rumbling sounds occurred as a gate opened. The temple was now open for players.

Players became alert and entered the temple as fast as they could. Some stayed in the back.

Emile felt that the temple wouldn't be simple. He entered the temple near the end of the pack. He walked forward and saw a large opening. The players were standing still behind a certain line.

The opening had two large holes on the left and right. There was a path in the middle for players to walk across.

Emile didn't know what had occurred. Player wasn't attempting the path.

Someone ran forward. Spikes shot up from the ground and the ceiling which killed the player. There were traps on this pathway.

If a player wanted to pass this location, it would require the players to be skilled at dodging traps. Traps were meant to be unsuspected, so players wouldn't know which step would trigger a trap.

Even though Emile trusted his ability to get across the traps, he wanted to see what the traps were like.

People didn't want to test it out. Some got worried that they wouldn't be able to get anything from this since nobody wanted to move.

Some ran forward to save time and get the loot. They avoided locations where they had seen the traps activate.

This person ran and stepped on a trap. Darts flew out from the walls causing the darts to pierce the man. The man was pushed back by the darts and they fell through the holes on the side. These traps could kill a weak player.

Emile noticed that no one else was moving. They were waiting for people to test out the way.

Emile sighed and ran forward. He ran at full speed.

Emile evaded the traps he learned about. Emile made it further than the man who got shot by darts. He had no information about the traps after at this point.

He had to be cautious while moving at high speeds.

The players watched carefully for the traps. They wanted to gain information from another dumb player.

Emile stepped on a concrete pressure plate. It triggered a trap hole. The ground opened beneath him. He was above the hole.

Emile thought quickly and turned around.

Emile took out a wind gem and used the wind gem on himself. The gem propelled him backward. The wind gem allowed him to fly over the rest of the traps. He was on the other side of the opening.

The players watched with gazes of shock as Emile flew backward. Emile turned around and looked at the archway.

The archway had stairs leading up to somewhere. It also had a pile of coins on the floor. Emile waited for the wind gem cooldown to disappear in case the coin pile was a trap.

He picked up the coins with caution. It wasn't a trap.

He received 25 silver coins for being the first to pass the opening. Players who took a lead and weren't afraid of death would gain rewards while the cowards would eat the dust of others.

He entered the archway and walked up the stairs with caution. He didn't know if there were any other traps around here.

One step of the staircase opened and spikes shot out.

Emile was about to step on the staircase when he saw the change. He skipped this step and climbed two steps instead of one.

Other players were attempting to get across the path after they saw Emile pass through it. Some died since there were a few traps after the trap hole that Emile evaded.

And some did evil acts. They intentionally pressed on a trap to kill the players surrounding them.

Emile walked to the top of a staircase and noticed a sign with a keypad.

Emile read the sign.

What question can someone ask all day long, always get different answers, and yet all the answers could be correct? Answer the question on the keypad.

The temple was giving out riddles. Emile wasn't a big fan of riddles since it confused him each time he reads them.

Sometimes the answer was obvious while other times he wouldn't be able to figure out the answer.

Emile noticed that there was extra information in the question that isn't needed. The question could have been: What question can someone ask, always get completely different...

The question didn't need all day long. Emile noticed that the all day long part of the question would relate the question to time. The day passed with time.

Emile suspected that the question was: What time is it?

The riddle fits together. If the riddle didn't mention the all day long part, then he wouldn't have been able to solve it.

Emile typed the question into the keypad and the door opened. He hoped that there wouldn't be other riddles. He entered the door and noticed a grave.

There was a sarcophagus in the middle of the room. Emile didn't want to disrespect the creature lying in the coffin, so he ignored it and looked around the room.

The door behind him closed. The other players would have to answer the riddle if they wanted to pass.

Emile noticed that there was nothing else in the room. It was empty. The walls had weird dragon patterns.

Emile opened the coffin since he didn't know what to do and noticed piles of coins on the inside. The coffin was a way of giving coins to the players.

Emile picked up all the coins and noticed that the game had given him 2 gold coins and 500 silver coins from the coffin.

[Temple will collapse in 5 minutes]

The coffin set a trap for anyone who opened it.

Emile expected something like this to occur. In most movies that a character enters a temple, they would have to escape at the end due to some reason that the temple collapsed.

Emile quickly noticed that there was no escape in his room. The door was still closed.

Emile decided to move the coffin. It was the only thing in the room, so he attempted to see if there was anything underneath the coffin. His strength allowed him to push the coffin out of the way.

Some movies had an exit under the treasure chest.

There was no hole underneath the coffin. Emile suspicion was incorrect.

Emile looked for other methods like pressing on the walls for hidden buttons. He pressed on the wall in an attempt to press any hidden buttons.

Emile used his knowledge of movies to see if he could escape.

With his luck, he managed to press a button on the wall which opened the door. This button was one of the dragons that were imprinted on the wall. He had two minutes left before the temple would collapse.

Emile ran down the staircase and jumped over the step that had spikes on it.

Emile appeared in the archway. He jumped up and used a wind gem on himself to fly over most of the traps. he didn't know the traps near the end of the path, so he decided to fly over it.

Emile landed on a section which he knew the location of the traps. He ran while evading the traps.

Most players had evacuated the temple.

Some were trying their luck to see if they could get any secret treasures that appeared during this ending time.

The temple rumbled at around one minute and dust fell from the ceiling. Rock tumbled down blocking certain areas.

Emile ran through the entrance. He had survived the temple with a big haul. Few players risked their life to stay inside the temple and see what would occur.

When the time ran out, they got nothing special for being inside the temple. The game gave them death since the temple collapsed onto them.

There were players standing outside of the temple looking at Emile with glaring eyes. Emile survived one problem, but the players would be another problem.
