"You can wait in the lounge. I'll be back in a few moments." The mayor said as he took the elevator.
Emile sat down on one seat and waited.
"Sir do you know what the mayor is normally like?" Emile asked the person at the reception desk. he wanted to know more about the mayor.
"He's a great man. He cares about this city way more than everyone else. That may be a biased opinion but no one can deny that he doesn't care about this city." The man sitting at the reception desk said with admiration.
"What did he do?" Emile asked. He wanted to know what the mayor had done to gain so much admiration.
"This city used to be a normal tier 1 city. It wasn't the capital. But due to the mayor gathering lots of support and accomplishing many things; the kingdom assigned this city as the capital. The capital city is the city that is the closest to the next tier. We are the capital city of tier 1." The man said.
"What do you need to become a tier 2 city?" Emile asked.
"I don't know. You must ask the mayor for this information." The man said while shaking his head.
At this moment, the elevator door opened which revealed the mayor holding a small pouch. The mayor gave the pouch to Emile and asked him the get the clear potion once more.
"Inside this pouch is 100 gold coins and 20 silver coins. Use the 20 silver coins to teleport between cities. Use the 100 gold coins to purchase the clear potion." The mayor said as he walked towards Emile.
"I hope you'll be able to come back as fast as you can. I wish you the greatest amount of luck. And I'll thank you once more for taking up this task. If I wasn't the mayor, I would have gone myself but I have too many duties to account for. I've fallen behind in my work due to visiting the Alchemist Guild, so I'll get back to work." The mayor said as he handed Emile the pouch.
He walked to the elevator and went up the tower.
Emile watched him leave.
"I feel bad for him. He can't even save his son personally. If he leaves a lot of problems will occur and his reputation will drop. The city won't be as strong if his reputation drops. Whenever people mention our city they always relate it to the mayor since he's a legendary figure. I hope you can save his son or he'll have a hard time with any future works." The man at the reception desk spoke to Emile.
Emile noticed that the mayor had a lot of reputation so he didn't want to ruin it. He left the building and walked to the teleporter.
Check the leaderboards while walking. Players have hit level 9. They were getting closer to level 10. The closest person was Flower Queen since she was grinding against level 15 mobs.
Scarlet Sunset reached level 8 while Nimble Rod was still level 7. They were moving up the leaderboards at a fast pace. There were a few players moving at a pace close to theirs. They must be grinding against higher level mobs to gain experience that quickly.
Emile checked the time it requires for the water nutrients to enter his body. It showed 3 hours and 7 minutes left.
This was the time for people who purchased the skill system as soon as they logged in. No common person had their powers yet.
"Hey, Time Walker," Emile messaged him in the party chat.
"What," Time Walker replied.
"Have you been getting the nutrients for your skill system," Emile asked him.
"Yeah, the game automatically gave me the nutrients after I logged in. All the good skills the system relates to time are expensive. The only skill I bought from completing a world in the Elemental Courtyard was a cooldown decrease. It was the only skill that cost 200 Time skill points and less," Time Walker said.
Controlling time would require a lot of training and learning. All Time Walker could do was decrease the cooldown of his skills. He couldn't use this skill in real-life since game skills didn't exist in real-life.
He couldn't do anything in real life.
"You have 3 hours left on the time to get your nutrients?" Emile asked.
"Yeah," he responded.
Emile confirmed that no one could use any skills in real-life. He arrived at the teleporter and took out ten silver coins to teleport to the city. Teleporting to cities cost 10 silver coins. Other than the first travel which was free.
Emile could teleport to the village's for free since they have no tolls. But cities have a toll requirement so he had to pay money each time he teleported to a city.
Emile paid 10 silver coins before teleporting to Sunrise City.
The teleporters of each city looked the same. Emile walked out and noticed a clear difference between White Star city and Sunrise city. The lampposts in Sunrise city were in the shape of a sun. It was a beautiful decoration to have.
Emile walked out of the teleporter and asked a passerby about directing him to the west gate.
"If you keep walking that way for about 30 minutes you'll discover the west gate." The man said.
"30 minutes?!?" Emile questioned.
"Well, the city is big." The man said as he laughed.
Emile hadn't walked to the edge of his city yet.
All the important functions were near the middle of the city. He never had to walk around the city. Everything as within a few blocks of himself.
The outer edges of the city were the locations where people lived. Emile never had to travel there since there were no important functions in that part of the city. The inner part of the city is where all the trades and work occur.
Emile walked for thirty minutes in the direction that the man said. He walked passed the Tailor Guild to get to the west city gate.
The west city gate was an arch. It had the colors of the sun and shades of the night. Part of was the sun while the other half was the moon. It represented that the sun sets in this direction and the moon will rise soon.
Emile walked out and noticed the dirt path. This path stood out from the other parts of the land. It didn't have grass growing on it. Adventurers, travelers, and merchants stepped on this path frequently.
Emile started walking on this path. His speed increased until he broke out into a run.
Emile wanted to tire himself out. Improvement only comes from continuously pushing the bodies limit.
Emile wanted to increase his stamina by small amounts. He realized that if he wanted to challenge many opponents at the same time, he would have to increase his stamina. He got tired after killing 500 mobs so his limit was at 500.
Emile wanted to push his limit.
Running for long periods of time required lots of practice and training. Emile never had an open space to run in.
In the real-world, buildings, factories, and many other locations were abundant. The only natural place in the world was the ocean. The only problem was that humans were expanding out into the ocean for more land and resources.
