We turn back time to when Clay had decided to reincarnate on Earth as himself. He knew the risks of changing the timeline by inserting his consciousness into his fetal self, but he still went with it. He missed his family and the friends he'd made previously, but more importantly, he missed living a life that's more leisurely than in Alleucanth. However, when he'd arrived, he discovered that Earth itself was simply another one of the worlds where gods are present with no one to openly oppose their reign on mortals.

I went with it. I did it. It was successful, I told Ryan about my success and the fact that my consciousness is now split between myself on Earth and myself on Alleucanth. It was strange at first but my body quickly got used to it. Time on Earth flowed differently than in Alluecanth, it was an entirely separate timeline after all. I even wonder how this worked, but since it did, I am taking advantage of it.
