"Please get dressed then we can talk" seeing him half naked was not something I anticipated "Give me a minute" he said with his low calm voice. I worked my way to the couch checking to make sure he was gone. Though this is my place too I still felt the need to act as though I was a guest.
He walked back in the room fully dressed this time. "Thank you"I said shyly "For?" he said flatly "Putting clothes on." I was so quiet I'm surprised he could even make out what I was saying. "Oh that, yea no problem." his voice gave me the shivers
He started to speak again "Okay let's get straight to the point, if you're going to be living here there's gonna be some rules." he opened a draw and pulled out a paper and pen. "Like what?"I said wondering if there was so many they needed to be written down
"To start off the place must stay clean." he started scribbling something down on the paper. Continuing his list he said "Nobody is to come over, must be to bed by 9, no trespassing in each others privacy, wipe down the showers when you're down with them, take off your shoes when you come in, don't touch each others stuff, take care of your own dinner, wash your own dishes, take a shower in 15 or less, and clean up after yourself." "Okay." there are so many rules "Oh and don't talk to me in school and do not tell anyone we're living together" "Okay"I said still quiet "Your rooms down the hall second door to the right."
The next day at school I saw Andrius walking down the hall with a bunch of girls swarming him. He looked annoyed. Remembering the rules, I continued to class.
It was already time for art class, the day was going by fast. "Today you're going to be assigned a partner and you're going to do a portrait of each other."Mrs.Birch explained. She started with the partners Stacey and Bella, Luna and Lucas, Zoey and Brian" "Zoey don't leave me"I whined grabbing her arm and shaking her "I have to" Zoey said going to Brian "Justin and Jose, Andrius and " please don't be me I crossed my fingers "Hazel, Rile-" Andrius started walking to me "Please don't fool around and try your best we have to present so don't make it to terrible."he said
Did he just imply that I'm a bad artist. Oh no I need to show him that no one says calls me a bad artist. "I think I should be saying that to you, now stay still" I said in a attitude filled voice. I started drawing.
30 min later and I only had to finish one piece of hair. That was the fastest I've ever drawn realistically. Maybe I should draw when I'm mad more often.
"Is this to terrible for you" I said showing him the drawing. He looked stunned. "It's amazin- I mean it's nice"he said eyes wide open. The bell rang "You could draw me next class "
On the bus ride home Andrius sat down on the opposite side of me on the back seat. We didn't talk the whole time. He was listening to music. His blue eyes starring out the window. I wonder what he was thinking about in that head of his.
When we got home I went to the kitchen table to do homework because I didn't set up my desk yet. I gave up in the first five minutes and went to take a shower. When I was halfway undressed with only my bra and underwear the door opened. "AHHHHHHH" I grabbed my towel and hid.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU KNOCK" "The door was unlocked" he turned around and walked out the door.
After my rushed shower I went back to doing homework. Andrius came out of his room for water. He laughed at me struggling with problem one still.
"If you're so good at math then help me instead of laughing at my struggle."
"Why should I"
"I'll clean your dishes tonight?" i said with hope he'd help me
"Whatever" he said as he sat down at the table after getting a snack
After I finished the last question he fell asleep on the table. I went to my room and grabbed a blanket and pillow and put the pillow under his head and the blanket on him. I rested my head on my arms and watched him sleep. He was so peaceful and beautiful.
I ended up waking up the next morning next to him. I didn't realize I was falling asleep last night. He yawned and sat up. He looked at the time. "We're late" he walked to his room and left the blankets on the chair.
Ten minutes later I knocked on his door to see if he was ready. "Are you ready to go" "I'm not going there's no point. Did you even look at the time" I looked at my phone. It was already 12:30 there really was no point. "Agh mom's gonna be mad I missed school on my first week"
"Well to late now" he said
"Hey, since we are missing do you want to go out"
"Why would I hangout with you" he said plainly
"So you aren't bored plus it's no fun going out by yourself when everybody's at school and I don't want to go out by myself." I said hopeful he would join
"Fine, where are we going"
