The War had already started and the many cities in the lower levels of the land were being attacked with full force. Tanks and mechanical suites hit the barriers while mages and the corp of engineers were looking for a way to deactivate them under the constant fire of the defensive forces. Distortion was buffled by the attitude and ferocity of all the enslave races that when given a way out of slavery refused and even fought harder to protect the cities belonging to the dragons that view them like something to be dispose of or so thought the members of the alliance.
The truth was that inside dragonkin society, they were viewed as second class citizens but at the same time, the land, technology and resources were a lot higher than in the alliance and even the poorest of slaves in the Dragon territory were a lot richer than even some of the middle class citizens residing in Silverwing City. This posed a very difficult philosophical question that shook Distortion to the core, "The alliance was fighting because they did not want to be enslaved by the Dragons but if being slaves afford them all the privileges they were seeing in the dragonkin cities, it might not be all that bad"
It was a new experience for sure but since he couldn't arrive at an answer he thought, "Well… at least all I have to do is stop them from sending people over to the lands above… Good Luck Rahz"
On the Tenebrous Sanctum, Jazz was working overtime trying to keep all the songs that improved the team's resistance to poison and disease elements while they walked down the giant halls of the pyramid looking build using Immolation to protect themselves. Every time they moved, sizzling sounds were heard as the Chaos Fire burned the poison in the air. Bodies of Dragonkin disappeared into a purple chaos flame constantly and everyone of the victims were absorbed by Riddick, friend or foe, it didn't matter everything was used to increase his combat prowess.
On Rahz's side, things couldn't be better and even though they didn't see eye to eye, the forces under the God of Justice were extremely useful. The high level priest created barriers to protect the elders that fought ahead of everyone else cleaning any monster that appeared. The coordination that they demonstrated was superb and the benefits that they brought to the table were outstanding. The Forces led by Degark excelled in guerrilla warfare and rogues and assassins were constantly bringing updates on what things they could expect in the road ahead so the main force could prepare and decrease their casualties. One thing was for certain, the Bonemire was very sophisticated unlike the Barren Palace Luxurious style or the ancient vibe that the tenebrous sanctum brought to the table. If one had to describe it, it was very similar to a secret government base were many experiments were carried out.
Everything was in Chaos across all the islands belonging to the Realm in the Sky, but spearing the assault were Bato and his team that now stood covered in dirt and were staring at the beautiful Golden Dragon floating in the air. The scales shone with bright light and she had beautiful silver eyes. She was enormous in size and gave off the feeling of extreme weight it was like looking at a statue made out of massive amounts of Solid Gold. Her horns were long and pointed forward just like a bulls and the muscles on her four limbs were well defined. Everything was in line with what a western dragon should be except for the absence of any kind of wings.
"A CHAMPION OF THE REALM, A CELESTIAL BEAST AND THE AVATAR OF WAR....ALL FOR LITTLE OLD ME, BUT ONLY ONE OF YOU WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO TASTE PARADISE"
The dragon trembled in excitement while the members of the team frown. In their minds what the dragon was trying to tell them was that only one person was going to survive and leave that place in one piece, so they quickly got in their battle positions and prepared to engage her in a fight.
"CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE ME, THEN COME, LET ME SEE YOUR WORTH"
Hmmm…
Bato made a strange face at the weird remark the massive creature in front of him was making but when he looked around, Vulcan was already transforming.
"NOT MY FIRST CHOICE BUT I LIKE YOUR SPIRIT AVATAR… NOW, LET ME SHOW YOU MINE"
The Scales of the golden dragon started to change color into a platinum hue while an electromagnetic field formed around her shaking the whole room in a rhythm. The walls around the room responded to the rhythm and many pieces of rock fell to the ground but there were a few that stood in the air. The pieces were black in color but when look from a different angle the gloss seem to change to a very dark purple that floated towards the Dragon in a very organized faction.
"MY NAME IS ARLEN BAHAMUT AND I ACCEPT YOUR PROPOSAL"
Clank … clank ..clank
The pieces of metal that were coming to the earth dragon started to stick to her body and form an armor of the highest quality.
"No way! an Elementum armor" said Vulcan.
Bato Shook his head and after hearing the spirit inside the pearls said, "It is Dragon Forged Obsidian Armor".
Obsidian was a metal only Dragon Royalty was able to create and was a gift from the parents to their kids after they hatched in order to protect them in the event they left the Realm before their children were capable of defending themselves. The process was simple but at the same time it required the Magical Flames of two dragons to remove the impurities of a lump of elementum and give it shape.
There were only two properties that the Obsidian Armor provided its user, one was increased defense and the other was a boost in their ability to gather energy from the Realm. The Dragons were children of magic and the way they cast spells was very different from the systems provided by the gods to the alliance. The dragons willed nature into taking shape much like Xiao and the only thing limiting their powers was the size of their tank, it was a weakness that now decrease considerably thanks to the wonderful properties the metal had.
"COME! DON'T LET ME WAIT"
Vulcan thought that he could use the Strength of the Titan and probe the Dragons resistance against physical attacks but looking at the imposing opponent in front of him, he knew, that was just wishful thinking.
Vulcan's blood started boiling as excitement filled every part of his being, the Pieces of the Avatar Set started to melt into Divine Energy as Vulcan's body grew in size to match the dragon in front of him. He looked like a spartan made out of bronze and only the sword of the conqueror laid in his hands.
AVATAR INCARNATION!
The Avatar of War held the now gigantic 2h sword in both hands as he leaped through the air using Leaping Strike and came down with a swing that shook the air.
WHOOSH!
The Dragon swung her body around with surprising nimbleness and whip her tail at the incoming attacker.
BOOM!
PULVERI… AHHH
The force generated by the tail of the Dragon was too much for Vulcan and the impact sent him flying against the ceiling of the room that broke apart revealing the magic barrier that shook and started to flicker as if disappearing.
Bato didn't stand still and immediately changed the weapon into an indestructible rope that seem to have a mind of its own and expanded to bind the limbs of the dragon.
"OOH BONDAGE! HOW NAUGHTY"
The armor that was stuck to the body of the dragon protecting it, separated about a foot from the skin and prevented the rope from performing his job as it didn't let it come any closer than that.
Xiao Niu started to wrestle for control of the Earth Element but very soon a Dome of earth was created around him and started to decrease in size trying to squeeze him to death. Xiao rammed into the walls while trying to decrease the density of the earth closing in but it was hopeless.
Bato was sweating bullets and had to recall the beads and willed them to spin like a saw that cut into the walls encasing Xiao helping him escape.
"HA..HA..HA… IS USELESS TO TRY AND WRESTLE CONTROL OVER THE EARTH ELEMENT IN THIS PLACE… YOU CAN'T TEACH YOUR PARENTS HOW TO MAKE CHILDREN"
