Chereads / Tyrant / Chapter 105 - Finding a Mage

Chapter 105 - Finding a Mage

Lady Mae was very persuasive threatening her husband about kicking him out of the shop if he didn't help Jazz with his friend's project so Rahz got a grandmaster expert working on his Axe for the price of 'on the house'. Specially when Jazz told them how he was left for death and they had used a legendary potion to save his life and then how they helped him complete his second Evolution Task without asking for anything.

Jazz's Grandfather was at odds with him due to his neglect of the Blacksmith trade, but family would always be family and Jazz's mother was their only daughter. Jazz's grandfather agreed to help him but with instructions and since it was an Axe his savior and teammate would use in the future, Jazz did his best to listen to the old man.

Rahz and Riddick left the shop and decided to look for a mage to teleport them to the temple. It was not that difficult to find a mage to do teleports as they were all on the streets with signs that said the amount it would cost and the locations the wizard could teleport to. The whole process as they learned was very deceiving as there were some con artist that actually would teleport people to the middle of a volcano where they would die and never claim their money back.

Rahz was confused by the cheer amount of people opening portals and decided to ask the adventurer guild to point them in the right direction.

The adventurer guild in Shinjuku was very spacious and it was pretty well organized so all they had to do was step to the counter where a beautiful 4 arm female was organizing some paperwork.

"Hello Miss, We would like to request some information about a reliable mage to teleport us towards the Temple of the Dreadnought"

"Certainly, may I see your registration Card"

Rahz handed over his card and the Lady quickly produced a list of people that met the requirements and it even had the rankings of reliability on the sheet.

"Thanks"

Rahz and Riddick left the adventurer guild and with the list in hand all they had to do was to set the trip for 2 months later and they would be set.

"I found the target Lady Xyra is looking for, it has decreased in size and it hangs around a pair of twins, they were looking for a mage to travel to the Temple of the Dreadnought they are already in city". Said the lady at the counter of the Adventurer Association.

"Excellent, I'll take it from here" said Ezekiel

Igor was nowhere to be found and the apprentice of Thug'dromog was losing his mind. The berserker path was not known for their patience and any time he spend looking for this Son of Azgorth was time he didn't spend training and with the tournament of the realm coming how was he supposed to Rank and bring his teacher's recognition.

"Master didn't you say your rivals were there the night the caravan was destroyed?"

"What about it?"

"Wouldn't that Witch Doctor see them last, their powers are weird maybe he can help you"

Thug'dromog's apprentice frown, he really didn't want to owe that guy a favor but he was more concern about failing his teacher.

"Let's Go!!"

The portal opened up and connected to a swamp like place full of specters but as they fell the levels of the people coming through they scattered like wild Rabbits. There were mutated creatures running around and they were some with pretty nifty powers appearing and disappearing from time to time.

In the distance there was a village with huts and looking very shabby but the perimeter was protected by walls made out of Bones that were compacted together, it looked like the wall of china but the building blocks were bones and if anybody got close enough they could see that the bones were connected together with muscle tissue. Screams were heard from time to time but they were not from the living, slaves souls were flying around in the sky and mourning their destinies.

"Everytime I come here it gives me the creeps...and now I am going to have to owe this guy a favor"

The mage couldn't help but smile while his hairs stood up since his level was barely 30. The duo arrived at the door and the guards recognizing them immediately, without saying anything at all they guided them to the Elder's hut where a familiar figure was sitting down with a knife in one hand and a liver in the other. The liver was raw and he was slicing pieces off as if it was an apple.

" Ke.. Ke.. Ke .. you must be desperate to come all the way here... Liver?" The Witch Doctor offered as greeting.

"No thank you, I do need your help though. That night we went to inspect the site where the caravan was destroyed there were a few people standing around, Do you remember them?"

The Witch Doctor got serious at that point and his alertness went to the roof before killing intend leak a little. He had taken Elune and now she was his little sister apprentice under the banner of his master and he was also learning from Gilgamesh an ancient being his teacher respected. The Witch Doctors were very tribal and once somebody became a part of their family they would fight tooth and Nail for them. If the people in front wanted to harm them he would kill them both. "Why you ask?"

"Ezekiel is looking for them and it was the reason why he attacked, I have been tasked by my teacher to find them before Ezekiel does but so far nobody seem to have seen them on the road to Shinjuku, I saw them that night but didn't think anything of it, I just thought you might remember something"

The Witch Doctor relaxed knowing it was nothing to worry about and told him what happened after he left.

"Can I speak to her"

"She is carrying her Evolution Ceremony with the teacher and I am not sure how long It would take, they might come out tomorrow or in a week…"

In a crypt behind the Village, Elune's body was encase in a column of divine light while the tooth given by Rahz shone and became dust that made the shape of a full grown Val'gun that tried to attack Elune's spirit but the attacks were stopped by a divine shield provided by her evolution. Little by little a bond was made between the two and after a day of Tug of War her avatar form was acquired.

The next step in the process was the formation of her baleful aura and there was no better place to build it than in the a village full of spirits.

"As promised, here is the true Embodiment of Suffering" The voice was heard and the information of the item came into Elune's Mind

"I hope you can collect the other pieces child" With that statement Louxx presence disappeared and the ceremony was over.

Elune and her master arrived to the hut to see thug'dromog's apprentice Sen'Jin practicing some techniques in an open space and a mage meditating by the door.

Cough … Cough

The master call the attention of Sen'jin who immediately stop what he was doing and did a warriors bow. "This must be Elune, congratulations in your Evolution"

Elune remember the demon in front of her and she very politely replied with a "Thank You"

"Actually I am here to talk about your Friends, there are many people looking for them and it is imperative I find them first"

"Why are they looking for them, We barely made it to the Abyss and didn't know anybody besides the people in the caravan"

"Everyone is under the impression that there is a very dangerous demon in your group and we are just trying to help you."

"Ha ha ha… Lies!! I know everyone of my teammates, we grew up together"

The mage couldn't stand anybody talking to his master that way but in the village Elune's status now was way higher than the person he called master so Sen'jin quickly signal for him to step back.

"You are right, that is what we are telling everyone but the truth is that we know one of your friends carries the bloodline of a very important Demon of our Race and his blood is very valuable. If he is not taken to the Elders as fast as possible he would be in constant danger and so are the others".

"Whose Bloodline is it?"

"The Engine of Destruction Lord Azgorth's "
