Chapter 92 - Unexpected Help

"Welcome Mrs. Elune on behalf of the Silverwing Auction House I would like to thank you for allowing us the pleasure of auctioning your amazing find. Here is the money from the coins and the items you won. I hope we can continue to do business in the future".

Elune took the pouch with all the items and immediately reached to grab the ring for inspection. The ring was in fact the real deal, the material it was made off was a green jade and the rune of the The Plaguebringer was engrave out of a brown stone. The moment Elune grabbed it for a closer look the ring vibrated like it had found a long lost sister. Ross tried to maintain his composure but a frown still crept up to his face.

The gestures of the director were lost in time as Elune counted her gold coins that were short about 20%. Elune used her sweetest smile on Ross and asked, "Director Ross I keep recounting the gold coins in the pouch but unfortunately I keep coming short by 560,000 of them. I am not sure why?"

Ross gave a fake smiled to Elune and said, "The Silverwing Auction House takes a 20% fee for the sale of the items during the monthly Auction and unfortunately I was unable to waiver the fee you see, the decision came from the top and I didn't have any say in the matter. I am very sorry for the inconvenience".

Elune heard the excuse and was about to say something else but was stopped by the Witch Doctor that told her to make sure all the items were there and let it go. The team left the office while Elune was complaining to Gilgamesh about interrupting her when she was about to get back the money that belong to them.

The team left the auction house and went for a walk around town as they now had money and could go to the best blacksmith in town and get Rahz's Axe fixed. While they were walking around a bulky warrior carrying a 4 feet tall greatsword bump into Rahz whose hand held his money pouch in place but the bulky warrior didn't apologized and instead said in his strong voice "You are being followed".

"What did you say?" said Rahz with a confused face but the warrior just shook his head like he was having a headache and said "Fuck off"

Rahz furrowed his eyebrows and just brushed it off as he had possibly heard wrong. The team kept walking and more weird stuff started happening and apparently only Rahz was the one being targeted.

A little kid having a big lollipop look straight at him grinned and said " Protect the Ring". Rahz turn to look at Riddick and said, " Did you hear that?"

"What?"

"Igor did you hear it ?"

"Nope"

Next was an old man sitting outside a store, "They are coming for you"

Rahz rushed to the old man placed both hands on the old man's shoulders and shook him while asking, "Who old man, Who is coming?". The old man just stare at his assailant with a scared face that told Rahz he was doing something wrong. Rahz looked around him and everyone was treating him like he had lost it, they were all whispering to each other while looking his way making Rahz extremely uncomfortable.

Rahz looked towards his team who didn't know what to say.

"Something is happening!!! people keep telling me to be careful but then they don't seem to remember what they said, IT IS TRULY HAPPENING GUYS!!!"

"Is ok Rahz you probably just need to rest, let's go back to the hotel instead".

Rahz agreed but when he turned to look at a store front, letters made out of blood appeared with a message " BEWARE OF THE GOD OF JUSTICE". Rahz rubbed his eyes and the message was gone. He was now convinced he really needed to take a nap.

In the other side of the street a human with a full length black leather trench coat smiled and turned around to leave and behind him one of the paladins from the auction house was following him like a guard but if anybody look from a short distance they could see the mesmerizing lights in the pupils of his eyes.

The people following Rahz saw the anomaly displayed by their friend who was assigned to follow the Coercer and decided to investigate that instead. Coercers were a very peculiar branch of the mage path, they could be call the evil twin brother of the illusionist. They used magic to dominate the mind of their enemies and subjugated them to their will. They could also push images into the minds of their foes fabricating memories to manipulated their behavior. Coercers were usually hunt down by any of the good alignment classes ever since one got mad at the authorities of a town and hypnotized all their children and made them drown.

A third tier was a scary beast in the food chain and more often than not only people of the same tier could deal with them but it depended on many factors. The coercer was a very tricky opponent but the problem the majority of the God of Justice followers presented was their lacked tolerance for other people's beliefs. Sometimes they committed atrocities way worst that any evil god follower in the name of justice, and in other cases they hit a steel wall for their lack of patience.

The plan was to tail the followers of Louxx and wait for their elite to confront them especially the third tiers. The necromancer need it at least 5 third tiers to contain and there were not enough available around Naas and the ones close by would cost a fortune to hire.

Mages were highly intelligent people and with every level gain their intelligence increased and if they had altercations with the Justice Followers before, they new what was coming. The poor paladin didn't have a chance to cast a skill before memories were push inside his mind that made him believe his previous enemy was now the most important person in the world.

The coercer gave a command and the paladin rushe at his previous friends that hesitated to act before getting cut down, when everything was set and done the paladin at the service of the coercer committed suicide as instructed by his master.

AHHHHHHH!! (High pitch Scream)

Women screamed and children cried at what they saw but everyone that recounted the events on the street said that one of the corpses killed the others before killing himself.

When the father of Director Ross came to check on the incident the coercer was long gone. All he had was regret at the lost of his fellow worshipers.

Sigh..

I guess we have to be happy with the others, the ring of Louxx should still be here as well. Nobody From the god of Justice knew what it did, all they knew was that the item itself was indestructible.

While all of this was happening one of the followers of The plaguebringer was waking up to find himself tied up by hands and feet inside a metal coffin with only his head sticking out. It was the Shadow Knight who was a member of a reptilian humanoid race called the Sarik that was tribal in nature.

"You are awake!!!, Excellent I don't have much time as there are more heretics that need my tender loving care. Everyone else don't understand the true value of your blood but I do, I alone are his most precious disciple…. Kekeke...hahahaha".

"Ssss what ssss a nut.ssss.job"

"It was extremely difficult to steal you from those pesky Paladins so please please please scream a little"

The Blood Harvester move closer to his victim and activated a rune that sealed the lid of the coffin and stood it up.

"In this world of magic, I got a great trick to show you. Even though I am a templar (second tier Cleric) I would make this swords disappear"

WHoooosh!!!

TA DAH..

Silence...

The sword went inside the coffin through a hole and pierce the body inside… " Not impress hah… not to worry, how about I disappeared 5…"

Whooosh Whoosh Whoooosh

Grunt!!

Sigh…

"You half dead people are no fun, let me hit you with some holy magic"

AGRHHHH!!!

"That's the spirit"

The town was in chaos worst than before the auction took place, and to make matters worse, the following morning more corpses were brought over to the town by what it look to be some very playful Undead that collapse after delivering the bodies into a message using their bones.

"Send one more after me and I make Naas into an Undead city"
