Chereads / Tyrant / Chapter 41 - New Enemies

Chapter 41 - New Enemies

The old dwarf wanted to tell his leader that a piece of necklace was not worth risking the life of many comrades, specially for an item that looked so cheap such as that old ass purple tooth but it was too late.

The leader was indignant from the beginning and thought that the Barbarians should be happy that he took the time to personally steal their wares. The fact that he was always around the bandits that treated him with respect and were at his beck and call made him forget who he really was, a Level 14 Rogue.

KILL THEM ALL!!

The moment those words left the leaders mouth, the old dwarf face fell. The Barbarians were not as Gung-ho about fighting as the Orcs but once you got them going, it was very difficult to stop them.

The highest Level on the bandits was the old dwarf who was a level 16 Guardian and his main duty was the safety of the leader. The dwarf pulled out his 1h hammer and shield and step in front of his liege while the other 18 bandits charged at the caravan.

The bandit's level varied from Level 10 all the way up to the level of the dwarf and they all thought it was a free lunch.

Seeing the enemy charging towards them startled the caravan a little but they quickly grabbed their weapons and got ready to defend themselves. Rhaen step in front of Rahz and didn't even take out his weapons while the other teachers also joined him in making a line of defense.

Rhaen sensed the levels of the enemies and didn't stop all of them. It was really easy for him to wiped the whole lot but then Rahz and the other trainees would not get any experience. Rhaen and the trainers allowed 5 bandits to pass through, but they were only the ones that had the lowest level among the them ranging from level 10 to 11.

In the meantime, the other 13 bandits didn't have time to do anything at all.

One punch of Rhaen crushed people skulls and every kick would shattered the bandit's bones. The difference in levels was just too vast and by the time the first head was smashed in they were too close to the caravan to turn around and flee.

The 5 that were allowed through were too busy on their own fights to see what was happening but the sound of weapons clashing still gave them the impression that there was fighting going on. The ones with a clear view were the leader and the dwarf that had front row sit to the whole event.

"Did he just crushed that guy's skull with his bare hands. GULP!!"

RUN!!!

The leader heard the words of his helper and with trembling legs started to sprint away from the massacre but he didn't get 5 ft before something wrap around his waist and pulled him backwards.

GET OVER HERE!!!

NO!!!!

As the leader flew through the air, the small dwarf try jumping to grab a hold of his liege but his small arms didn't reached. The skill Leash created an energy Rope that lash on to a target allowing the Champion ( Second Evolution Guardian) to pulled said target towards him.

Rhaen grabbed the young leader by the neck while the dwarf activated intercept to close the distance to rescue his leader. It was too late... without even showing a trace of hesitation Rhaen squeeze the neck of the leader and crushed his neck.

The dwarf that had just used Intercept manage to get there just to receive the falling corpse. It was a nightmare. Rhaen had notice that the dwarf had tried to persuade their leader but he couldn't leave any witnesses.

Crack!!

A hammer fist came down on the dwarf's head and dented his skull in ending his life.

During this time Rahz and the others had their own opponents and were unable to worry about anything else that was happening around them. Rahz picked up one of the level 10 warriors charging in and the other 2 groups defended themselves against the other 4.

Rahz opponent this time was a warrior that prefer to use cutlasses which provided him an advantage in speed and flexibility. This was Rahz's first real test, he needed to kill 10 First Evolution Fighters and he had not check his progress at all against anybody besides his parents and that made him uneasy.

Rahz square off against his opponent and grab his 2 handed Axe with both hands ready to block any attacks coming his way.

Seeing that his opponent was barely a pre-evolution kid and the individual that incited this whole incident filled the bandit with confidence and rage at the same time.

"All this for a fucking rotten tooth?" said the bandit as he made the first move.

Rahz was extra focus on the bandit's movement as he remember the fight between the scout leader and the Elite Kobold and knew the humanoid races were extremely crafty and powerful.

The Bandit slashed with his right cutlass and then tried stabbing Rahz's abdominal area.

The Bandit continued his attack by slashing horizontally with his left cutlass and then once again vertically. Rahz's opponent was using everything he had in order to defeat his enemy in the shortest time possible but nothing was working.

To the other pre-evolution trainees the attacks made by the bandit seem impossible to dodge. If it was them on the other end of that cutlass, they felt that they could only be at the defensive parrying and blocking waiting for the others to come and help.

Rahz looked at the attacks being made by his opponent and was instead enraged by the blatant disrespect. In Rahz field of vision, the attacks made by the bandit were slow and very predictable nothing at the level that he would expect from somebody that had evolved and removed the first shackles of the mortal realm.

The only explanation that Rahz could come up with was that his opponent was not taking the fight seriously and this was a taboo in any battle. Rahz avoided his opponent's attacks very easily and countered with a forward trust with the back of the handle straight to the face.

Boom!!!

"Oi buddy, better take this seriously and stop fighting like a clown... don't you know is disrespectful to your opponent"

The bandit heard those words and almost puke blood, he had been giving maximum effort so he could help his friends with the rest of the enemies and now this hairless boy was making fun of him.

"Screw you kid, I am going to slice you up like a piece of fish"

Rahz smiled and said " That's the spirit"

AHHHHHHHHH!

Flurry of Blades

It was the Berserker skill of choice for all the light weapon users at level 10. This skill allowed the Berserker to convert Rage into a burst of speed and attack power slashing the enemy 10 times in succession with lightning speed.

Bang!!

Blood started flowing from the bandits broken nose and his rage continue to build making him lose his composure. Flurry of Blades!!! Flurry of Blades!! Flurry of Blades!!

"Damn it kid stop evading and fight like man!!!"

Hearing this Rahz was perplex, how was he supposed to fight when his opponent was not taking the fight seriously. Despite his opponent slacking during the bout, Rahz couldn't drag the fight anymore as his teammates were already struggling and one of the Level 9s was already injured.

Rahz dashed forward and with both his hands swung his gigantic Axe horizontally activating Devastating Blow to give it an extra humpff.

Whoosh!!!

The bandit felt his body fall backwards and try to do a backflip to maintain his balance but when he face forward once more he saw a couple of legs that were wearing his pants standing still.

"Are those my legs?"

Rahz was close to the bandit and was able to hear the question and as a polite young man that he was, he instinctively said, "Yes, they are"

Mother Fucker!!!

Those were the last words of the first evolve fighter Rahz killed and in the future they would be one of the most common last words he would hear in his road to the top.

Rahz loved the feeling when he received the energy experience but this time instead of the feeling of euphoria, he felt pain. The pain Rahz felt was the same a person being tattoo with a laser gun would feel and in fact it wasn't far from the truth. The massive amount of energy collected from the kill was stored inside his body in the form of a tattoo line in what it looked like the beginning of a weird energy rune.

After he finished receiving his energy, he moved to help the others and started one shotting people. Rahz didn't believe what was happening and by the time he finished with all the remaining enemies, the floor was littered with corpses.

Since only one fighter was killed by Rahz alone, the progress towards completing his task was actually 1 out of 10 and this was demonstrated by the fact that only 10% of the new rune was brimming with energy.

"Rahz don't space out, help to clear the battlefield and make sure to grab all the weapons, they can be sold for quite a little bit of money".

The caravan cleared the battlefield and continued their journey with big smiles on their faces due to their new found wealth.
