Chapter 6 - Little Gorgon

Qin Wu Xie shivered as he saw the corpses of the assassins bloody and butchered, various limbs and guts hanging from the trees with one eye ball slowly rolling towards his feet. His cheeks puffed as his food came up and almost forced its way put of his mouth, he was terrified.

The figure of a beautiful woman swooped down, her hair now matched the little boy ignoring the obvious blood stains. She raised her hand combing her hair as she stared at the full moon.

"If i go against the heaven who dares to stop me?"

Meanwhile at the campfire the two elders had engaged in a heated battle where the winner was yet to be identified.

The old man concentrated as Jun Xiao Wan attacked continuously not giving him any space to counter attack, Old man Feng grit his teeth before jumping back trying to create some distance between them, naturally Jun Xia Wan noticed this and quickly shot after him engaging the old man in mid air. This was a full scale battle between two top tier pure martial artists, it wasn't long before the creature felt the energy waves and began to retreat not willing to get caught between the two grand masters. Unfortunately for the Qin siblings these unusual energy modulations had stirred up a deity level beasts! It's eyes open to reveal beautiful yellow gem stones cold and empty, it found itself surrounded by various snakes twisting around its neck draping it in a cloak. It got up slowly, feeling around and deciding to crawl.

[~sss~]

It let out a loud penetrating hiss that shook the entire cave causing the ceiling to shake and crumble, meanwhile on the surface Qin Li Ai had suddenly found her energy drained as he knees gave way making her stumble,

"Big sis!"

Qin Wu Xie shouted before running towards her, his love overpowering his fear and as he got close enough to catch her as she was about to fall the ground beneath them gave way, his eye widened as he reached out to grab his sister but she fell to the depths of the darkness.

"Big sister!" he shouted again going after her as fear welled up in his heart, she was unconscious meaning she couldn't protect herself. If she was to get buried by the rubble then he was afraid that... He shook his head furiously expelling such thoughts and focused on the mission ahead, he tactfully jumped from large rock to large rock in other to control his fall. He groaned as the rock landed throwing him off towards the side.

He forced himself up ignoring the piercing pain from his shoulder, his pushed himself and began to infuse his energy in his fists as he began to punch the huge pieces of rocks on the massive pile. One by one each rock was smashed to pieces as his energy was wasted between minutes. In the end he was only a level 2 novice, he soon feel on his knees ignoring the pain he felt as the shards of rock embedded into his skin, he just knelt there, motionless. His hands shaking as the cave became eerily silent, a tear dropped to the floor followed by another, then another until he couldn't hold back the sounds of grief anymore.

Why was he so useless? He couldn't save Li Ai, he promised to protect her but -

"Why are you crying big brother?"

There was a beautiful sound, the voice of a little girl, he didn't even look in her direction finding he didn't have the energy. The little girl had beautiful pale skin with long black locks of hair that nearly touched the floor. Her eyes were big and yellow, petrifying but mesmerizing.

"My big sister... is dead.." he replied not caring who she was or what she wanted or how she got there, all he cared about was his sister, bringing her back to him. The little girl tilted her head in confusion as her eyes seemed brighter than normal, she looked at the boy like she quiet didn't underhand.

"But big brother, Big sister isn't dead"

"What do you know!?" he replied harshly banging his fists on the floor, and unexpectedly the little girl giggled.

"She's really not dead, let me show you..."

His eyes widened as her hair swooped up coming to live and striking the boulders crushing them all, his unconsciously fell on his but as it revealed the girl sleeping peacefully with her hair now back to normal, she was calmly breathing heavily, she was asleep.

His tears were replaced by a smile of relief as the black strands of hair picked her up and brought her to him, allowing him to hug her, her face on his chest. He had honestly felt that he had lost her forever, like he was now alone, "Thank you.." he whispered to the little girl.

She smiled revealing an odd set of sharped canines, "You're welcome!"

Qin Wu Xie smiled at her before introducing himself, "My name is Qin Wu Xie, it's a pleasure to meet you!" he said in a chirpy voice, she bowed to him introducing herself too.

"My name is Mohua, i don't have a second name nice to meet you Mr mortal."

He laughed slightly taking her last comment as a joke, "What are you doing here?" he asked her and she stopped to think.

"I'm not sure, i just know i was very tired so i slept off and now i'm not sure where i am."

Seeing she was a lost child like them he offered "Would you like to come with us?" She nodded oddly enthusiastic making him smile, "I'm sorry but we'll have to leave have my Jie Jie wakes up" he said to her was he relaxed his tense muscles.

"It's ok! Mohua can wait for a few more days!" She said happily and the boy smiled.

"Old man Feng!" The assassin smirked, panting and holding his numb arm as he watched the old spit out a mouthful of blood, Old man Feng growled as he stood in front of a cliff, on his knees, his eyes bleeding uncontrollably.

This youngster... had actually broken through in their fight! What kind of luck was that!?

"It was an honor to battle with you old man!" The assassins shouted again.

The old man looked up at the sky... [girl, it's up to you now...]
