Chapter 96 - Zhao Wei’s Tantra

The person in question who needed to be low key was instead making a name for himself as the flying man of Dracas. Like before he was constantly being sent high up into the sky, but these times without his staff.

He was quite astonished after being able to see his Tantra manifest itself. It was like a light blue flame surrounding his hands. That being the case, it didn't seem ferocious or destructive but more harmonious and calm like slow ripples in a pond.

Unlike his first time, there was no surge inside his body, replaced by a chill that soothed the effected parts. It was quite the contrast from the strength it gave him. Guru was also quite surprised. All his life he'd never seen a Tantra quite this pure and dense that it became tangible at this level.

Though that being the case, his Tantra was still at the level of a 5 year old in terms of overall quantity. But it wasn't usually like this. For Tantra, the quality and purity determined was dependent on the person's naturally created Tantra combined with their training technique.

The training technique usually helped them absorb the energy in the world into their bodies. Acting like a filter for a specific kind, so a person usually only used techniques which was the most closely matched their natural Tantra as it would help with the assimilation and not affect the speed at which they were absorbed into their bodies. Even with talent, if they didn't have the right method their growth would probably be halved.

Even if a person found a superior training method it didn't necesarily mean that they would be able to use it. So far in Guru's memory only the royals and a few nobles had training methods that suited their bloodline's Tantra very closely. These were those passed down from even before the beginning of Dracas kingdom and even then it was difficult to keep perfectly aligned.

Through generations of marriage the purity of the Tantra in the descendants was severely compromised. It would be lucky for one to reach a purity of 80%. And that was in the case that the whole technique was still intact. Years of wars and turmoil ensured that some of the ancestor's knowledge was lost in the passage of time.

Somehow although the method he gave was random it was too clear even for bloodline Tantra's to compare. The most confusing was that it was definitely a different colour from the technique. He'd been there when Zhao Wei initiated the skill and absorbed the energy almost killing himself.

He'd checked the boy's body and knew that the colour of the energy was a dark crimson colour. The boy's own Tantra was the same blue. Even if he was talented there should be some speckles left from the technique in his Tantra as it was almost impossible to remove all impurities, but somehow he did.

And even through all the wars he'd been through, he'd never seen a Tantra in this colour yet. For Naga the most common Tantra was a the violet and silver colour a whose traits would allow a person to cause some poisoning as well as the ability to melt through armor like Chora. For the humans he'd met in his world, it was mostly in the spectrum of a flamelike red and yellow which worked mostly to boost their strength and speed greatly.

Some rarer ones had a Tantra of the green spectrum, usually allowing them to harden their bodies like crystals or increase natural healing. None of which Zhao Wei fell under. He wasn't sure if the humans from other worlds could be very different in constitution or Zhao Wei was just special.

On it's own Zhao Wei's Tantra acted like barrier of rushing water, dispersing part of the momentum of any attack that came into contact with it. Of course considering that Zhao Wei had only drawn the energy into his hands and that with the quantity he was barely covering the bottom of his palms, there was still a lot of openings for Guru to exploit.

But there was something additional to it, somehow if their flesh touched it felt like the blood in the contacted area slowed down, this was specific to the Tantra in the technique manual he gave to Zhao Wei. Somehow, Zhao Wei's Tantra seemed to retain some of the techniques attributes despite not retaining any of the color.

The effect that was retained was small, almost unnoticeable and probably would be except that it was used against a person who was very sensitive to their body's condition like Guru. At this level it was almost useless. If other Tantra like the purple would be used as a comparison, it would barely cause the opponent to itch. If it was like Chora's it would take 5 minutes to even leave a dent on armor. But there was a large potential in it.

A frightening thought went through Guru's mind. If he gave Zhao Wei several different Tantra manuals to Zhao Wei and the boy didn't die from having a deviating pathway, would he be able to stack several effects at once? If he could retain each attribute of the different Tantras to an effective level, wouldn't he be basically omnipotent? With several effects stacked up he'd be able to beat anyone on the same level with ease.
