Chora and Myr didn't weep at Chyron's death, but instead they clasped their armies and weapons to begin a war the enemies would forever regret.
The night that Assaze came back they prepared to move out the next day.
Both were silent in their home. Checking the chinks in each other's armor.
"You know the king wouldn't let us risk it after such a loss right." Myr stated, her voice dry like grating ice.
"Even if he doesn't let me bring an army, I will run in there and tear up every man I see until I lose my breath. Alone if I have to." Chora said.
"Don't worry you won't accompany our son alone." Myr replied.

When morning came, they were shocked to see a man prostrating in front of their door.
"Jorrah?... sonny you were with Chyron for the expedition right?... it's okay, we don't blame you for what happened." Myr said straight faced.
"No Mrs Myr you don't understand!!... we've Chiron he's.... he's.."
As they heard his words their faces grew a shade of red and their nails dug into their palms.
The night before, they had only heard that Assaze had returned with some men and his son wasn't with them, they had assumed he was dead, but this was much worse.
At the Royal palace the Assaze and the duke his father were discussing the situation with the king when the doors burst open.
"You son of a bi#%^, I'll rip your as%^#le from your body and put it where that snake tongue of yours is", Myr screamed as she lunged at Assaze with her scimitar.
Five guards with fortress shields moved forward to block her. Three of them were cut through while two of the ones in the back were knocked away with broken hands.
The king moved to speak, "Chora!!, Myr!! Please calm down for a second, I will give you a proper explanation for your son, his death wasn't under Assazes hand."
"What death, this wh#%} betrayed his own men to keep his slimy little neck!!" Chora followed up to attack but was intercepted. His blade was blocked by a cane.
"Chora, we've known each other for long, you know I have to do this if I think you don't have a good reason to attack... please explain yourself" the person behind the cane was Guru.
Although Chora was tough he knew he couldn't beat Guru without both him and Myr working together, but since it was the castle there were guards everywhere which one of them had to deal with.
So he stopped his attack first. "My boy isn't dead..."
Instantly both the king and Guru were confused "What do you mean he's not dead!?... I saw him die!!" Assaze screamed, sweating pouring down his face.
"You little sh#%!!, you gave him up! 'The son of two generals was a bigger deal than the life of a useless son like you', ring a bell?." Myr screamed as she pointed at the boy.
His eyes turned to panic for a second, but it didn't miss anyone's eye.
Everyone in the room confirmed the truth.
Chora started explaining everything that he'd been told.
First of all, they were late because Assaze was tired and decided to stay in the main camp for two days rather than directly head back.
But this skip in two days landed them right in an enemy flank tactic along their return route.
As they were only a supply team full of newbies they didn't stand a chance.
Just before Assaze as the commander was to be killed he spilled the information on Chyron's parents.
As two of the main offensive generals, their names were well known to any enemy army.
Having their son was a trump card which could be used to trap them or even lure them to work for the enemy's side.
Assaze told them he was only the 3rd child of the duke so they let him go to carry the message. But they knew that there was a high chance Assaze wouldn't tell the generals later on to preserve his life so he sent some men with him to make sure the message was delivered.
All their faces became ugly, especially the king who glared at Assaze, obviously he'd been told something different. Guru stepped backwards and turned to the king, "I'm sorry boy, I won't be part of this... on the contrary if they decided to move on this worm today, I would probably join to help them." As he spoke he became a little quieter but his words became a little colder.
The king was troubled, everyone could see that his decision was leaning towards the generals at the moment. Suddenly the duke walked to his son and slapped him. "You idiot!!, if you didn't do your job right then you should've just died for it!", even Assaze was shocked by the sudden turn of his father's character.
The duke turned towards the king and bowed, "I hope your majesty and esteemed generals will not stand together against us as I will personally punish this son of mine."
The words seemed sincere but the rest had been in politics too long to not notice the message. I'm taking my son home and will show that he is 'punished', but if you attack him now it will look like the king has sided with the generals and are ganging up against them.
"You think I give a damn!?" Myr screamed as she wanted to move again.
"General Myr!!" The king screamed, all eyes turned to him. He'd just realized how loud his voice came out. He hadn't intended to be that loud but considering the critical circumstances he had panicked and administered himself in such a way.
"I think the thing we need to focus on right now is to find a way to get your boy safe back home." The king said hesitantly.
"But my king!!" Even Chora couldn't stop himself from lashing out.
"I will give you a suitable answer once you come back, but first we must focus on the important part at hand." The king said.
