As long as you have capital punishment there is no guarantee that innocent people won't be put to death.

Year A.S. 302, Anala Orphanage
This year was my second year living in this world. Aside from the surprise of discovering magic, there was nothing significant happened in my life. The progress of finding the way home was also stagnant. I still did not find any info about dimensions hopping or inter-dimensions traveling. However, I did not lose hope, since patience was my prowess.
One day, an unusual event happened. This event also became the talks until today between children and even the nannies. It was about the boy who presumptuously dared to attack a nanny.
However, I thought it was not the truth, because I saw myself the nanny bothered the boy first. Since a poor prejudice placed on the boy, everybody believed the boy attacked the nanny first, not the other way around. The other who accepted the right fact also became thinking otherwise. It was already a week since that event and children's opinion about the boy also became worsening.
Since that day, I rarely saw the boy myself because I was busying myself in the library. While reading the history of the Nusantara Kingdom, a thought pricked me.
Why did the boy call as the traitor's son?
Did not knowing the answer made me unsettled. I suspected the boy's father or family were the victims of politic. However, I still did not know the fluctuations of politics of this world, who were at each other's throat, but the boy existence might help me revealed the identity of the body I occupied.
Plus, I knew someone who could answer my unanswered question, Maria, my new slav- eh, friend.

*Knock*
*Knock*
*Knock*
"Enter." The familiar voice of Maria vibrated through the door.
I entered the medical room of the orphanage. Maria always said if I needed her, I could find her here, but usually, she would be the one who located me first, so this was my first time to set foot in this area.
The room was so spacious that could accommodate up to ten children at once and looked more spacious because of the lacking person in the room. There, the beds neatly arranged horizontally. Far away from the door, in the bed near the balcony, sat the figure I was searching for, Maria.
It appeared that Maria was not alone, and speak of the Devil, the boy whose background I interested, sat before my eyes. The blue-eyed boy who had silky brown hair and a calm face. It seemed Maria was treating the gash in the boy's arm.
'Damn, those smooth skins! Don't let the gash scarred his arm,' thought me.
Maria put her hand over the gash and murmured something. The light color of green appeared between Maria's hand and the wound. Gradually, the skin around the gash started closing, leaving a pinkish surface. The boy sat in an upright posture, and his face was devoid of any discomfort.
Then, Maria went to the racks behind her and took a vial of potions from it. She poured the inside toward the pinkish skin, and miraculously the skin became unblemished like newborn's buttocks.
'I need - no, I must learn how to make potions.' I added the list on my mental note.
"Child, now you are as good as new." Maria patted the boy's shoulder, and he flinched a bit. "Don't come here anytime sooner, okay?"
The boy nodded his head and politely excused himself. By now, the boy must already realize my existence, right?
The boy walked toward the door and for a second stood a few meters from me. Unblinkingly, the boy stared at me, examined every feature of me. I gave him a small smile unconsciously.
"Move." The domineering voice came from the six years old child in front of me. "You are blocking the door."
Dumbfounded, I moved away from the door. The boy walked out from the medical room without looking back.
'Jeez, what's with that attitude?' I gave a stink eye toward the boy's back. 'I gave you a smile, and you didn't even acknowledge it.'
"Ahem." A voice gathered me back to the present, reminding me of my initial goal of visiting Maria.
"Good morning, Miss Riri." It was a pet name I used for Maria.
"Good morning, child." Maria invited me to sit beside her. "Any wounds I need to treat?"
I plopped down my buttocks toward the bed.
"Nah, I'm not hurt. I only want to ask you about something."
"About magic? Or how to activate it? You're too young to do it, child." Maria patted my head gently.
I shook my head, denying Maria.
"Why did the boy just now call as the traitor's son?"
The cheerfulness in Maria's face became gloomy for a second before Maria gave me a fake smile. Maria never gave me a fake smile, to make Maria did it, the boy's background likely complicated.
"Why do you want to know this, child?"
Well, I could not say the boy's background might help me revealed my real identity in this world, right?
"I'm interested with the boy, Miss Riri."
Maria halted her prepared question and gave a knowing look while wiggling her eyebrows. It appeared my answer came out wrong - no, it was Maria who interpreted it as she wanted.
"You are too young to interested with a boy, child." Maria shook her head amused. "Young love, young love."
Okay, that was disgusting. I was like nineteen - my mental age - and the boy was like six yeard old. The gap was too large, and I did not want to be tag as a cougar.
"Disgus- I mean, it's not that." I denied vehemently. "Because of the boy labeled as a traitor's son, no one wants to play with him."

"I'm interested with the boy, Miss Riri."
When I heard Timun Mas answer, it was out of my expectation. I saw the determination on her face that she would not back down without an answer.
I gave her a knowing look while wiggling my eyebrows. Teasing Timun Mas was one of my favorite hobbies now.
"You are too young to interested with a boy, child." I shook my head amused. "Young love, young love."
Mortified and shocked expressions flashed through her face. That's right, teasing Timun Mas was a form of entertainment.
"Disgus- I mean, it's not that." Timun Mas denied vehemently. "Because of the boy labeled as a traitor's son, no one wants to play with him."
Timun Mas expressions dimmed a bit.
"How about you? Aren't you the same as others?" I asked her.
"It's not that. I was busy, okay?" Timun Man said in a sassy tone. "So, can you answer it or not?"
Timun Mas folded her arms and gave me a bossy attitude.
"Ho, ho, ho. It seems you become impolite day by day, child." I gave her a chuckle. "Where is the cute and polite girl of mine?"
I made a fake sobbing, to dramatize it.
"I'm sorry, okay? It was just something upset me lately." Timun Mas gave a pleading expression. "So, please stop with that fake sobs."
Too bad, it seemed my fake sobs failed to divert her.
"Timun Mas." I gathered her attention. "I will tell you once, and not repeat it."
I started to tell her the tragedy occurred two years ago that befell the Nusantara Kingdom.
"Two years ago, misfortune befell the Nusantara Kingdom. The late crown princess kidnapped and killed on the day of her labor. The husband of the deceased crown princess also declared killed in action a few days after the incident."
I paused for a while, examining Timun Mas expression. Her face was devoid of any emotions only her serious eyes gestured for me to continue.
"His Majesty made a special investigation to pursue the mastermind of the incidents. It seemed like those two incidents related to each other.
After one year of investigation, all the evidence directed to the Captain-general of the Army, Sir Balin Keivel. Then, Sir Keivel found guilty because he plotted against the royal family, killing the deceased crown princess and her husband, the Captain-general of the Air Force, Sir Tejas Virat Sanjaya.
Not much later, His Majesty released the royal decree, to exterminate the main and branch families of the Keivel Clan. A month ago, the Keivel Clan executed in a public execution."
I stopped my explanation, and Timun Mas seemed to process my words. Then horror downed to her face.
"Jeez! What's wrong with this world?" shouted Timun Mas. "B-but, how could the boy still alive?"
"As for that, I don't know, no ones know." I shook my head. "I suspected because of his status as the Heir of Keivel Clan, Surya Keivel got away from the execution."
"Surya Keivel?" Timun Mas tilted her head cutely.
"It's the name of the boy you interested in." I began teasing Timun Mas again, to ease the atmosphere in the room.
"Hmmm," said Timun Mas in her thinking pose.
"Anything else? You can ask anything to this big sister," boasted me.
"Nah, I only want to ask that. Thank you, Big Sister Riri." Timun Mas hugged my hips tightly, then smothered her face toward me, acting like a kitten that asking to be stroked.
This child, by now she was acting cutely after her goal achieved. However, I still stroked her head gently, giving her my affection.
"There, there."
