The cafeteria is one of the few free zones.
The regular classes and the "special 'freaks' class" both share this space to eat. Just like the gym and quad that are also open to both. My class walks in and you could feel the eyes following us. We're a small class's compared to the group sitting all over the cafeteria. There is only one "freaks class" per year, so we really are the rare minority. It's also extremely obvious when we walk in as our lunch break starts 15 minutes into the normal classes lunch time.
Is this school trying to ostracize us? Yeah I really think they are. Different entrances, different gym hours, no instructors, and different lunch hours (but not enough for us not to be gazed upon as odd balls out)? Truly what are they thinking…
Tom pats me on the shoulder like I'm a lost child and I can barely hear, but I think he said 'there, there'. Am I Sheldon(1)?
Back to the structure of this godforsaken place. There are 6 groups of classes for every year, freshmen to seniors. We are only freshmans and we already attracted too much attention. Of course, the rest of my class said it was my fault. There are sixteen, now seventeen, people in my class. No, eighteen, if you count the shut in.
Well that doesn't matter.
"Always neglecting the things you don't care for," Tom muttered.
"Get out my head and you wouldn't care so much either," I hissed between my teeth.
"You even called her a thing."

Lillian, Why did you join?
We move toward our usual table and everyone shifted away.
Lillian, Alex and Sam went to wait in line. Waiting being an undertone. You could clear see people leave the line. No one bites except Sam… blame the werewolf tendencies. They came back with all of our food in under a minute.
Sure, we weren't supposed to use our powers, but none of us want to be down here long enough.
"Hey, pretty boy, come play ball." Someone yelled from the other side of the cafeteria.
"Don't give in. He promised the upperclassmen a chance to touch your butt and push you down," Tom pushed into my head.
I sigh and find the person immediately.
"Claire, do me a favor," I ask with a charming smile. " Could you-"
"Got it," she said without looking up.
His clothes slowly disintegrated and the whole room turned into an uproar of laughter.
I don't even look back to see it happen.
"He ran away holding his little bit of dignity left, literally.
"Wow, the poor thing."
"He deserved it. He ogled our classes goddess."
"God."
"Angel."
"Devil."
"What? Who said that?!" Lils screamed looking around. That last comment was from someone outside of our group.
"Lillian, don't mind them. They're lower than idiots like me after all."
After finishing eating, we all left and I could hear Alex starting a food fight even though he was leading our group back upstairs.
Looks like the class rep might like me, too.
"He's head over heels," Tom cooed in my ear. "Swooning for you."
"Shut up!"
The rest of the day was pretty normal.
I slept throughout class, Patricia was stroking my hair as if I was a cat and my class was as loud as a concert hall. Dallas was coping a feel.
I didn't talk to Melissa. I realized I might not hate Lillian, I just think she's annoying.
The next few days were calm, too. Pat still touched my butt everyday like it's a ritual. I still slept in class. I still hated public transportation. I still don't do well in class.
So, the vacation starts tomorrow.
(A/N: I also learned how to shamelessly give myself PS haha)
