Right after she finished the enrollment process, Kiang Leilei went straight to the Security Bureau to submit her notarized written statement.
Initially, her plan was just to tender a copy of her statement then immediately leave. Unfortunately, the Chief Investigator was still in a meeting and she was requested to wait for him inside his office.
"Excuse me, Miss Kiang. Would you like a cup of tea or coffee? We also have soda and fruit juice." A subordinate of the Chief Investigator offered.
Kiang Leilei shook her head and declined.
"No, thank you."
"Okay, Miss Kiang. If ever you need something, feel free to approach me. I'll go back to my post now." The guy politely said as he stepped outside the chief's office, leaving Kiang Leilei all by herself.
"What a waste of my precious time!" Kiang Leilei exclaimed impatiently as soon as the person disappeared from her sight.
