Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

I walked into my room, flopping onto my bed. Why did he offer to personally train me? I'm not that important am I? I thought to myself, sighing. Nina walks over, staring at me.

"Are you okay?" She asks, worried. Am I really okay? I ask myself.

"Yes, I'm fine just a little shaken and tired." I say, smiling weakly. I tun onto my side and stare at the door. Just how powerful am I to make the headmaster cautious? I don't understand. I close my eyes, starting to meditate. Soon enough I see many different orbs floating around me, blue, red, brown, green, white...so many different colors. For each color corresponded with an element. Blue for water, red fire, brown for earth, green for wind, and white was for Ice. I breathe in, holding my breath then I breath out, feeling something break within me. Then all was darkness.

I open my eyes, unfamiliar scenery meets me. I was floating in an open space with a platform underneath me, I reach out my legs, attempting to stand on it.

"Who dares come here?" I hear an ancient voice speak to me. I look around but see no one around me.

"Who's there?" I ask, surprisingly calm. I feel a gaze on the back of my head and turn around coming face to face with a huge black dragon. What the f*ck!! I scream in my head. Why is there a huge 100 foot tall black and silver dragon standing in front of me!

"My name is DarkStalker." said the ancient dragon. "Would you like to make a deal with me?" I stare at the dragon debating on whether or not to take him up on his offer.

"What's in it for me?" I ask, curiously. I manage to make my body turn so I didn't have to turn my head to face him. I look down and realize I am a lot higher than I thought I was. If my measurement was right then I was fifteen feet off the ground.

"You will be able to control all of your powers, plus I will give you even more. You won't hurt someone accidentally anymore." He said, titling his head to the side. He can do that? Why would he want to help me? I thought to myself as I ponder this choice. Finally I have the guts to ask him one simple question.

"What do you want in exchange?" I ask, interested in this offer. Will he ask for my soul? But dragons are noble creatures so he wouldn't go that far.

"I would like for you to accept my son as your familiar, Hatchling." He said, watching me with his night black eyes. His son? Familiar? Why? If it lets me control my powers then yes. I will do it.

"Alright, but who is your son?" I ask, curiously. He watched me for a minute, smoke coming out from his nose.

"Alright, keep calm." He said, swinging his tail. All of a sudden I was in front of him, he slashes through my chest with his front claws, as I scream out in agony. Blood pouring out from the slash marks, I close my eyes, barley breathing. I don't want to die, not like this. Were my last thoughts as I fell into darkness, heat filling my body.

I open my eyes, looking around I see that I am on the ground finally. Wait...didn't I just get killed?? I ask myself. I stand up, watching as flames move all over me. Why am I on fire? I look down at my chest where the dragon had slashed me. Wait...where did my wounds go?

"Master?" An ancient male voice calls to me. I turn around and see a 50 foot tall black dragon staring down at me.

"Uh, yes?" I say, scared out of my mind.

"My Name is Nightflame and I am now yours to do with as you will." the huge dragons says, smoke coming out from its nose.

"Um, alright, Night why exactly are you mine?" I ask.

"I am yours because it is our destiny Phoenix." Night says, lowering his head so we were eye level.
