According to her designs, Ynoir was supposed to have a Celestial tier weapon called [Passion]. It was supposed to be his Tachis. [Passion] was the elven race's treasure, and the reason why Ynoir was a runaway.
Well, the more you know.
'I regret adding level restriction...more...now...,' Dye wanted to cry, 'let's just hope that Ynoir is willing to use [Passion]...'
'Wait, that sounds extremely wrong...'
The three ran through the forest, trying to find the big boy.
"Where is he?" Lin Mao ran through the trees.
"I think he's going to attack the Magician Guild first," Dye replied, "Magician Guild's elemental affinity is only second to us."
"That makes sense," Ynoir nodded, "what level do you think it is?"
Dye contemplated for a while, wondering if she should tell Ynoir or not. She was a little afraid that Ynoir might turn out to not have [Passion] in his hands. But in the end, Ynoir deserved to know.
"Level 15...," Dye replied, "the Lurker is Level 15."
Ynoir was surprised, "How can you be so sure?"
"Because...the Lurker, is an Open World Boss."
This surprised both Ynoir and Lin Mao.
"Open World Boss?"
Because this Hyouka was different than the game, she also had to explain Open World Bosses more differently.
"Open World Bosses are monsters whose levels are way higher than the other monsters in the area. Normal Bosses are usually in a group or in their nests, hiding places, and so on. But Open World Bosses don't hide in a single place. They explore around," Dye explained, "furthermore, the experience points they gave you will be much higher, increasing your level."
'And there will be much better equipment drops,' Dye thought. It was because the equipments that fell were directly put in Dye's inventory. She also got Copper Coins, which she exchanged to Silver Coins immediately.
Both Ynoir and Lin Mao nodded.
"So, people who are confident in their skills will challenge the Open World Bosses, but the people in Beginner's Village are at most level 2," Dye explained once more, "the higher ups are told not to interfere with the village's activities, so they won't bother helping us and will only help themselves."
Ynoir and Lin Mao nodded again.
"So that's why the responsibility fell onto our shoulders, as level 8 people."
Another nod.
"And, now, let's go!"
Nod.
The three continued running through the forest shortcut, which they learnt from days hunting in Lychon Valley, to go to the Magician Guild, which was at the other end of the village.
'I hope that Ynoir had them...,' Dye thought.
'I can't hope too much.'
"Where is it?" Lin Mao asked as soon as they arrived in the Magician Guild. The Magician Guild was peaceful, and all the students are safe and sound.
"It's not here...," Dye scanned the area. If it had been an illusion, she would have received a prompt from the system immediately.
"Let's check the Occultist Guild," Ynoir suggested, "they're next on the list."
The three of them advanced, but they couldn't find the Lurker anywhere.
"Then where is it?" Lin Mao asked, getting a little irritated.
"Maybe...," Dye rubbed her chin, "maybe, it roared to lure us out of the guild! It's probably in our guild right now!"
Ynoir's eyes widened, "the condiments!"
'Seriously? That's what you're worried about?' Dye and Lin Mao sweatdropped. But to Ynoir and Lin Mao, the condiments were like heaven's gift. Dye was used to it, so she earned Lin Mao's worship again.
They hurried back to the Elementalist Guild. It seemed as if there was nothing, but Dye received a prompt from the game.
[Thorny Iguana used Illusion on you.]
"It's an illusion!" Dye used Dispel Illusion which was an irregular spell (a spell that wasn't supposed to be that class').
And then, the big body of the Thorny Iguana was shown in front of them.
[Thorny Iguana (Dragon Bloodline) (BOSS)]
Oh.
Boy.
