Chapter 240 - You Are Welcome Here Part 1

The Dancing Winds palace was quiet and serene as the Fourth Prince and his daughter sat quietly in the garden. Raina sat at a small table eating her breakfast a book splayed in her other hand. She was trying to read as she ate, looking seriously at the text. Meanwhile Clovis poured over reports from the merchants, and financial statements that would need to be discussed that afternoon. Neither were aware they were being watched from the doorway of their own home.

Kyera leaned against the doorway, dressed in a simple outfit Half Eye had prepared for her. The warm brown skirt matched with a emerald green top that brought out the silver strands in her now braided hair. The cream colored bone beads on the top were mimicked on the skirt tying the outfit together. As she watched them a smile curled her lips, a soft chuckle as she enjoyed the scene.

Like father like daughter in a scene of perfection in the gardens. The calm was relaxing as the natural scenery gave them the perfect welcoming background to their morning. She didn't want to break the secret harmony, but if they caught her staring it would be hard to explain.

"Good Morning, Your highness, your ladyship." Kyera greated as she pushed off the doorway and straightened her posture. The serem had been a god sent, as she barely hurt at all. It didn't always work this well, but thankfully it had chosen to be particularly effective this time.

The excitement on Raina's face was instantaneous as she looked up and saw Kyera. The little girl's face beamed with excitement. Clovis looked up as well, relief in his cool blue eyes. There was a warmth to him that Kyera felt instantly. Heat started at her cheeks, both turning a soft pink. Clovis chuckled as he stood pulling out the chair on the other side of the desk.

"Come sit down, Lady Kyera." Clovis all but ordered. The concern in his voice made her blush more but she sheepishly nodded and sat down in the chair he offered. Raina smiled and waved a servant over, whispering an request to her before watching them.

"Thank you, Fourth Prince. I am doing alot better but not quite steady on my feet yet." Kyera replied grateful for his kindness. Though she was mostly healed, her body was still lacking the nutrition to function normally.

"You're Welcome. You need to heed your body's warnings. You are not fully healed." he reminded her rather gently. Kyera nodded.

"Master Half Eye was able to find that my trouble was exhaustion and needing to heal. He gave me a medicine that healed most my internal injuries. Now I just need to get my strength back up and I will be fine." Kyera replied brushing off their concern rather easily. She seemed light hearted as ever.

"Oh? Then I know no better way to increase strength than good food." Clovis replied as he waved over a maid. She was already headed their way with a tray. He was surprised to see three bowls on it. Two of them were filled with a rice porridge smelling gently of spices and warmth were as the third bowl was filled with nuts, fruits, and berries from the garden.

"Yes sir?" the maid asks as she looked for somewhere to set the tray. Kyera realized the issue quicker than he had and stacked and moved the documents on the desk. She did so in such a methodical organized manner he didn't think to protest. Once they were neatly stacked out of the way, the maid had space to set down the tray for them.

Seeing that his maid had somehow deduced what he needed, Clovis paused for something to say. Raina giggled seeing her father's expression. "I thought we could all have breakfast together." Raina offered as she used the spoon to put some fruit and nuts in her porridge. Kyera smiled at her.

"Thank you, Princess. It is my honor." Kyera replied with a bow of her head. Clovis smiled at both women and a mischievous glint sparkled in his eyes.

"The pleasure is mine, to have both the blossoming bloom and the full bloom cherry blossom at my table." Prince Clovis replied as he watched both ladies blush at his words. Raina was accustomed to such compliments from her father, but took pity on Kyera who was suffering his teasing flirt for the first time.
