Chapter 213 - Lessons that Need to be Taught

He waved her on, trying to seem more sure of himself, but in all honesty he didn't see a weakness other than the obvious size ratio. Kyera smirked and danced forward. There was no other word for the careful footwork she used to gather her force behind a left punch aimed at his face. Lazren ducked it and tried to go for her waist, but she spun mid way through directing that move to her spine. Pain shot through his hand as well as through her back. Yet, the blow seemed to affect him more, since it was a glancing blow.

He was distracted for just long enough for her raised elbow to hit him the face. He stumbled back as she faced off against him again, a smirk on her lips. Her white hair seeming to float around her in the wind. Her eyes challenging him to come at her. He took that challenge and tried to fake her out with a right hook to the face while preparing to bring his knee up into her gut when she tried to protect. There was pain in his foot as she slammed one foot down on his and blocked the punch head butting him the face. He couldn't help but cry out a curse. She hadn't hit hard but it was enough momentum to sting. She had yet to play dirty but her style hinted it wasn't unusual for her.

She smiled and took a jab at his chest, he blocked it and she tried to follow it with a right but his foot caught behind her, trying to sweep her off her feet. Kyera felt her self begin to tumble and threw herself forward toward him rolling around him to stand behind. Her steps were still loose enough to be able to pull herself together. Lazren was a bit shocked at her reactions. She didn't seem to be shakable by normal means. He devolved into a flurry of blows trying to focus each on a different place so she would have to block at a dizzying speed. However, this seemed to work in her favor.

In a blur of motion, Clovis barely caught lazren's expression as he was caught, flipped and suddenly face down in the dirt. Kyera resting with a smile on his back, knee between his shoulder blades. He was effectively pinned. If he so much as moved he would have severely injured himself.

"So…lets be honest, you may fight perfectly but even in a skirt I did as well as any lad in pants." Kyera trailed off with a smile. She stood up, dusting her skirt off with a bit of gusto. Dust billowed in small clouds as she sighed, knowing she couldn't go out like this now. Clovis chuckled as he realized she was taunting him. Lazren sighed.

"Okay I give." He stood dusting off as well, his breathing a bit heavily. He knew the major difference between him and Kyera was experience. He was use to protecting the palace, so stopping small groups of idiots, or a single assassin with several guards at his side. Kyera however was obviously a fighter who has had to defend her life. Strong, fast, and agile made her adaptable much more than he could hope to be.

"That was fantastic." Clovis stated honestly having enjoyed watching this battle. There was no predestined winner, and there was no winnings just pride. To watch them was a education in and of itself.

"Thank you, but that being said you still need to work on your training a bit." Kyera pointed out, wanting to remind them both why she agreed to such a childish fight. Clovis nodded, realizing this was bluntly pointed at him.

"I could see the difference in what you were doing vs what I was doing but I am not quite sure how to get there." He replied shaking his head slowly. Kyera nodded still trying to dust her skirt off in vain. It looked decent again by the time she was done.

"Good. Seeing it is the first step. I can't help you if you don't see that you need help but if you know then I can help you make the changes." She replied with a grin. Clovis nodded seeming a bit surprised.
