"I have no issue with her… I am simply worried she may end up buried under a job that she didn't ask for. We may be taking away her calling, afterall she did say she has trained under the Shadow Shaman…" Queen Kira pointed out with sipping her tea again, allowing her cooling aura to flow around the table. Kyera smiled softly deep inside but offered a slight blush and glanced down at the table. Before she could speak, the Empress Dowager cleared her throat.
"Yes, that is quite true. So what say you, Kyera? Do you wish to help us out here? Just till your Master returns from his quest?" The Empress Dowager asked, turning the conversation over to the quiet youth who seemed to be taking in their words. She took a deep breath and nodded, as if making a decision in her heart.
"I am not naive enough to think that I am a Master healer. I have plenty of experience with animals but I don't think I would be quite ready to tend humans for anything past poisons and injury until after Shaman Half Eye has finished my training." Kyera replied looking at the Emperor through her lashes. Her eyes worried he would disapprove of her response. She seemed to be looking for his approval in her own way, still confident but also aware of his position above her.
"See, she is sensible. Fair enough my dear, to Lady Kyera, our new healer. You may come and go as you please. I will have a pass made for you immediately." He waved over a soldier and spoke with him quietly.
Mally Stared at Kyera for a moment, going through the conversation in her head in complete disbelief. She had managed to complete their mission with less effort than Mally had expected. So many girlish looks and sweet, kind glances cast from the Tiger's face. Not a single tone of submission and yet every look endeared her to them more. All she could do was smile and Kyera acted as a Princess should.
"Then it is settled. We will place you at the Summer Skies palace." The Emperor said aloud, musing a bit as he did so. Kyera frowned just a bit.
"Perhaps it would be best to let me find a place within the forest?" She asked tilting her head to the side just a bit. The Emperor raised an eyebrow a bit, as he thought over her words.
"My Forest here is filled with deadly creatures… most of them are dangerous." He points out petting his tiger at his side. Kyera nodded slowly offering a girlish grin, a twinkle of mischief in her eyes.
"All due respect, I think I can handle it. Plus, it would be best to have me in the woods to find those who may be injured or in danger within the forest itself. What if there are more of those traps in the forest?" Kyera asked tilting her head to the side a bit. He nodded realizing she had a point.
"That is true, we should set up a patrol and have some guards go through the forest for these traps. Make sure there are none left." He pointed out his eyes focused on Rasha who lay nearby seemingly asleep. Kyera followed his gaze and a frown slowly creased her lips. White bits of foam were gathering on his jaw.
"May I, Your majesty?" Kyera asked motioning to the lion. The Emperor nodded and waved his hands a bit impatient, inviting her to do so.
"Please do. Is there something the matter?" He asked and Kyera placed her cup down going over to feel the lion over. She pulled a vial from the belt on her waist and painted it over his teeth. Unconsciously, the lion licked the liquid and his breathing began to slow.
"No, his body is still fighting the poison a bit. That should help." she replied walking back to the table.
