Shen Manting struggled in silence for a long time before she could find her voice back.
"I want to see my baby," she said bitterly.
Shen Luo'an's back was facing her. He felt relieved when he heard what she said.
He straightened his back and turned around.
He caught a glimpse of Shen Manting's reddened face. She appeared to be ashamed.
He felt a complicated mix of emotions, but maintained a serious expression.
Staring at her, he said softly, "That day, I said that if you refused to return, the child would have nothing to do with you in the future."
"It's not up to you to decide!" Shen Manting raised her head and clenched her fists. "I gave birth to the baby! I'll never give him up!"
"But you didn't come back that day." Shen Luo'an was facing her with a sly smirk plastered on his face. "I pleaded with you profusely, yet you adamantly refused to return. Now you have the guts to demand for the child?"
