I could only feel a deep silence accompanied by a relaxing sensation that, in turn, created an atmosphere of absolute peace. That was the only thing I could feel inside of that life support capsule.
When I opened my eyes, the first thing I could see was a holographic screen displayed in front of me, which informed about the current functioning of the capsule in which I was.
Among the data you could see the Name: |"Genu Hoffman"|
Age: |"94 years"|
CodeName: |"Genu 0398"|
State of Recovery: |"99%, All Systems in Green"|
Remaining Time of Recovery: |"5 Minutes"|....
At the end of those 5 minutes, the hologram changed to green color which meant that I had already recovered to 100% and that the capsule was about to open. The special recovery fluid was drained from the container, which is used to regenerate the cells and body tissues which in turn is the patient's food inside the container and is as transparent as water.
Then the different life support cables connected directly to the body, which allows the monitoring of the person through an artificial system of data analysis were disconnected.
The capsule was opened autonomously accompanied by the artificial voice of: "Recovery Completed".
When I left out, the first thing I did was to confirm my state through the augmented reality system incorporated in the intelligent clothing, which allows the user to increase both the perception and bodily abilities mixing the technology of the highest level with the person. "Well, everything seems to be in order here, but being in pasive suspension for almost 500 hours is quite annoying." I started to review all the body data to make sure that the recovery process was already a success.
All the information was sent from the smart suit that works like a computer to a bionic lens placed in the eye of the person, which allowed to see the information as if you were looking at any screen. All that was controlled by neural commands.
After having spent all that time in suspension, I started to take some walks around the place with the purpose of stretching my limbs.
The place was lightly illuminated by transparent fluorescent lights that contrasted with the darkness. Perhaps, this was to allow a better rest for the people. The atmosphere was so quiet but at the same time something gloomy, because of the white background noise that could be heard all over the place.
It was a large room in which there were other recovery capsules, but they were unoccupied which means that I was the only person in that place, but also there were a series of very sophisticated objects and machines that gave the place a futuristic look.
"The space?"
I fixed my gaze through the window to see the outside view.
That view was so dark, but bright in turn. The darkness came from the vast, cold and hostile universe while the bright lights came from the countless stars and galaxies, all that mixed to form a great work of art, a work that, without exaggerating, it was imposed on any other.
But despite being very striking, that universe was plagued by all kind of uncertainties.
"It's good to see you awake, Captain!".
While I was lost in that external image, I could hear someone's voice. It was the voice of someone who made me understand that I was awake in that space.
