Rushing through the forest Samael and others only had their eyes on the monster in front of them. Silvia was just right behind him and to his side were both Lina and Julian.
Huh?
Samael looked back and saw the flash of light that was present when someone used the Academy's talisman. Lina and others noticed this as well.
"They left?" Princess Lina was the first to comment, from her tone she wasn't angry or anything, she was just surprised.
"They made the right choice." Samael spoke but then continued to look forward.
To his side, Silvia nodded, agreeing to what he said. They continued to move forward but it seemed that Julian was still conflicted.
He also agreed that his little brother made the right choice, Julius' overall combat strength is below Samael, and the daughter of the Frost Family, he wouldn't be able to be of help and Stella would just be in the way, if he were to honestly speak.
But still, as a Knight of the Clyde family he had a strong sense obligation to defend the Empire thus he wouldn't shrink away from any danger.
"He is still young, don't dwell on it too much. You wouldn't want to see your little brother get hurt, right?" Julian was seriously contemplating it when he heard the Princess' calming voice.
"Yeah, you're right. It's better this way." He smiled, calming himself down and focusing on the task at hand.
"Okay, enough flirting. We're getting closer." Samael spoke from the side, his casual teasing remark actually didn't irritated Julian, it helped him calm down even more.
Soon enough they, got closer to the Monster only a few hundred meters was between them. They hid behind a tree while observing the monster from a safe distance.
"So, what's the plan? How are we going to stall that big chunk of meat?" The Princess was the one who asked the important question.
"Quite frankly, you and I don't have any ability that could contain that beast. If ever, Samael and the Frost family girl are the ones with the capability to do it." Julius commented on the side.
Both he and the princess were both Flame elemental cultivators. They don't have any arts or techniques that could contain such a large target. But on the other hand, Samael and Silvia could with their Ice elements.
"That's exactly what i was going to suggest. I could probably build a huge Ice wall if I put my mind to it. How about you Silvia?" Samael smirked, he appeared arrogant but charming as well.
"I...I don't think i could. My Family doesn't have any techniques that could do what you have described. But-" Just when she was about to suggest something.
Samael already walked up to her "But you could probably support me using 'Resonance' right?" he smiled.
"Yes, I think I could." Silvia inched back a bit because Samael was too close for her.
"Great!" Samael smiled.
On the other side, Princess Lina looked at these two with great interest "Hmm..." she muttered in a low voice. The reason for this is because although she only saw it for a second she definitely saw Silvia blush.
Just how venomous do you have to be, you little rascal.
She scolded in her head but she was happy nonetheless. Princess Lina calmed herself and stood up. "Alright, let's try and contain that monster."
The other's stood up as well, nodding. They soon split in pairs, Samael of course went with Silvia and the Princess with Julian. The two teams circled the monster, one at the back and one at the front.
The pair of Silvia and Samael reached their destination and there was 300 meters away from the giant monster that was walking towards them.
"Before we do this, let's try and sync up our Ice elements. Here, hold my hand." Samael held out his right hand.
"Uhh..." Silvia was flustered, she was a sheltered child remember? She hardly ever interacted with others because she was too shy and that's why she has the title of "Ice Princess"
She never had been physically close with anyone, much less a man and now this guy she just met this day is asking her to hold hands. Silvia knows that it's a emergency but she felt shy nonetheless.
"Come on, hurry up." Samael felt the distance between them and the monster closing so he forcefully took her hand.
"H-hey!" Silvia was stunned when he took her hand and she struggled a bit.
Slowly she stopped squirming to release her hand. She felt a soothing feeling invading her senses she couldn't help using her energy essence to force it back. Only to be surprised as her Icy energy essence was actually being swept along by that foreign feeling as it coiled around her.
She felt her body relax in a way she hasn't felt before and almost immediately all the Ice energy essence in her body was prompted to move. The energy revolved within, forcing her cultivation to advance, allowing her to step into the pinnacle of the 1-star Foundation Building realm.
Silvia understood that that soothing feeling was actually Samael's Ice energy, to be precise it was his Terminus energy, the second purest ice element in the world with the Celestial Yin as the first.
What she doesn't know is that Samael also experiences an increase in his cultivation. It was actually more than she received, he broke through the 5-star body refinement realm and with the help of the two supreme arts he is practicing he quickly rose to its limits. But he chose not to break through to the next stage, not yet.
After that soothing but short cultivation session, the two opened their eyes. You could see the joy in Silvia's eyes when she opened her eyes but the words didn't left her mouth as she saw that Samael was already smiling, seems like he knew this would happen.
They stood up and saw that the Monster was already 100 or so meters in front of them. Smirking, Samael placed his hands on the ground and he said "Place both of your hands on my back, once i signal you, pour as much energy essence you have into me. I'll let this giant monster taste my power."
"Aren't we only supposed to stall it?" Silvia was still hesitating to touch a man, she was fidgeting as she commented.
"And who says we can't attack it?" Samael looked back and said with a childish naughty smile.
Silvia chuckled, her beauty once again stunned Samael as she appeared to be extremely attractive with those enchanting eyelashes and melodious voice. He turned to the monster with a slight blush before calming himself to focus on the task. Then he felt two soft but cold hands on his back.
He operated all of his energy essence, concentrating them on his palms. When the monster reached 75 meters before them, it had already spotted them and hastened it's movement to attack.
"Take this, you overgrown bastard. Terminus Frozen Wrath!" with that, he slammed his palm to the ground.
The ground before him instantly froze and from them giant, sharp ice crystals grew like spears and made their way towards the monsters. Silvia's ice energy essence flowed into him from behind, enabling him to expend more than he could use, propelling the ice forward. Then like the spears that they are, they pierced the monster right in the mouth on it's left shoulder and on the side of the stomach.
The monster tried to struggle free, roaring in anger but it was quickly silenced when explosions started going off behind him, attacking his back. The monster turned and saw another pair of humans, roaring in anger it tried to move towards them.
"We must help them!" Silvia saw the situation between the Princess and Julian and she quickly ate an Energy Pill to recover her energy.
"Go! I'll...quickly follow...once I recover." Samael panted, tired. He just used all his energy essence in that one outburst, even with the help of Silvia through resonance.
Silvia nodded and rushed to help the Princess and Julian, leaving Samael behind. Samael smiled as the girl left.
"She must've held back when we used resonance earlier and it's a good thing she did. If not, she wouldn't be able to help those two..." Samael muttered.
Soon he chanted the words from the "Lightning Emperor's Nine Layered Heaven" art and the "Terminus Frozen Moon". The natural essence inside the secret space slowly converged toward him and he quickly refined them. When he regained most of his energy essence, he quickly rushed like lightning to enter the battlefield, wounding the monster.
But then he stopped, feeling the enormous pressure bearing down on him. A couple of figures quickly passed by above him. They were much faster than him that he only saw a blurred figure.
"They must be the experts sent by the Old man." Samael thought the old man he spoke of was naturally the King.
