Lizzy opened her eyes to find herself surrounded by a barrier as her maids were bleeding to death on the floor. She looked at the flower and felt it was looking right at her.
"A deal, Lady Yxorna; passage for a memory," Lizzy said and felt the flower's anger slam into her. It was not interested.
"Over the morning dew,
A hill of gems, covered in silk.
A dark light trapped in mist.
Thorny petals are calmed by brother's watching eyes,
Voyages rewarded death to see Yxorna's mist." Lizzy felt the tune of the words invade her mind. The library. She had not just read those words, she now knew it well. The pressure in the air lifted as she sang that verse, making Lizzy excited inside. It was just a gamble. She now understood why the nether lord called it a gamble. This entity before her was beyond temperamental. As such, she may or may not like that she was singing this song. If she did not like it, they would only die faster.
Sol and the rest felt life return to them so fast, they could not believe it. They hurried to their feet the next second. Seeing that they were up, Lizzy kept singing to keep the entity happy.
"Racing through the valley, one searches for true light.
The drumming war carriages break the veil to light.
Yet backed and trapped,
Looking through blood shields
To Zhylgar's mountain bearing endless light.
The lonely clouds move overhead,
The younger brother, holding all in place,
The last mercy,
The trap in the silver halls,
Ghelroi's desire fills the air,
Determined and unbothered by desire's snare,
A soldier wrongly spawned,
A crystal dome of hearts,
A mighty stronghold,
A lonely naked horse,
The army ten thousand becomes one." As she sang, Sol and others flashed through the room. They had come this far and almost lost their lives. They were not going to leave this place without benefits. The flower seemed too happy to care about the treasures taken. It swayed as Lizzy's voice, a gate away ghostly, rang through the cave.
Just as she was about to sing the last verse, Lizzy looked to Re and motioned her with her hands as she retreated towards the exit. It was time to leave. Though Lizzy knew that this had worked, she was not willing to try her luck again.
"Let's go," Sol said and Si Sanga dashed for the exit. As Lizzy's last sentence dropped, the doorway was closing shut. The group turned and left the tree in a hurry. They did not wish to be so close to the flower. Sol grabbed Lizzy with Mi and flashed towards the exit, with Si Sanga barely keeping up. The moment they stepped out of the tree, they sighed in relief.
Before they could make a move, Lizzy froze and her maids holding her noticed and paused. Lizzy looked down at her wrist where a small live branch wrapped around like a coiling snake, green with budding leaves, glued to her wrist like a second skin.
Si Sanga saw them pause and looked back. Seeing the live branch coil in place, he felt a chill down its spine.
"What does it mean?" he asked, but Lizzy only glanced back at the tree they had just exited and walked away.
This action made Si Sanga feel as though she knew what it was, but Lizzy at this moment was too mentally tired to bother about what it could be.
