Chapter 226 - Bk 2: chapter three (14)

Helen knew how to escape this, but would the bones on her leg be able to take it? If she let herself slam to her death, the religion would obviously save her. Who knows, probably disintegrate the entire rock and land her safely on the ground, but she would miss the train.

Bracing herself for the pain, she flipped just as she was about to slam into the rocks and took the impact on her feet. But this was only for a second, as she used the momentum to shoot back towards the direction of the train.

The Nether Lord only paused to take in Lizzy's direction and follow her, only for his lazy pace, to cause Helen to shoot past him towards the train. As the two brushed by each other, their eyes met in the air for a second. Those scarlet eyes through the black mask gave Helen a chill as she shot past him.

Lizzy stilled her heart and looked towards the train she was approaching. At this speed, she was not sure to land without harm, talk less of landing at all.

She needed not think too hard, as Helen had caught up with her and grabbed her waist just in time to land on the metal roof. The speed of the train made them tumble and almost fall from it, but they struggled to hold on.

Helen was sure the bones on her legs were cracked. The pain tore through her, but she did not have time to think.

"Hurry to the last cabin!" she shouted towards Lizzy whose head was spinning from the land.

"Lizzy, Hurry!" Helen shouted as she started to crawl towards the cabin. But Lizzy could not see straight. She felt herself being lifted into the air, but her surroundings only spun.

Helen looked back at this time to see Lizzy in the Nether Lord's arms and panicked. She stood without care for her cracked bones and ran back. Before the Nether Lord could lazily leave, she grabbed onto Lizzy's legs and pulled, but to no avail. The Nether Lord only paused when he felt resistance as he was turning away and looked down at Helen. Their eyes met again, but this time, something was wrong. Helen felt the world grey the longer she looked into his eyes. The air thinned and she felt her skin peeled from her bones.

Pain.

"Si Sanga, you promised!" she screamed. She was not sure the person in question had heard her, but the only thing she could do was hold onto Lizzy despite her pain. She tried looking away from the Nether Lord, but her eyes felt stabbed.

Si Sanga had been watching in anticipation for a while. He was not sure if he should help her. He knew she was someone important and as such would want to be on good terms with her, but the Nether Lord was right there. Was he supposed to offend such a being?

When he heard her scream his name, he knew he must pick a side. No matter who he picked, he would offend the other. Cursing into the night, he opened the train doors and rushed in. He could feel those around looking at him with a raised brow but did not care to wait and explain. He rushed past people who were getting better dressed the deeper into the train he went.

Those in the cabin were angry when he stopped and dragged over a table without regard for those using it. He climbed on the table and slammed his palm onto the train roof. The roof slid open allowing him to stretch his hand towards Helen; who was now soaked in her own blood.

"Helen, Grab on!" he shouted at her. No matter, Helen could not tear her eyes from the Nether Lord. The pain was so deep, it held her bound that she started to tremble. Lizzy's eyes cleared enough to see how bad the situation had gotten. She stretched her hand and covered her lady's eyes, breaking her connection to the Nether Lord. It was just enough release from her bind for Helen to stretch her hand in Si Sanga's direction, allowing him to grab on.

The tattoo on Si Sanga's arm glowed as he bellowed, "Envoy requesting entrance!"

As though the train had granted them entrance, they all felt themselves sucked into the train. Even Lizzy was not sure how she left the Nether Lord's arms

Si Sanga braced himself to catch the falling Helen and her companion, as they crashed into him, slamming him onto the table.

Lizzy groaned in pain, her eyes meeting the Nether Lord's before the train roof slid close and the train sped away.
