At night, the newly migrated Tudenan set up a bonfire on the new site of migration and held a ceremony in accordance with the custom of the Hellfire people to pray for blessings.
After the ceremony, the sturdy women smeared salt, that was made from crushing rock salt, on the large fishes and pierced iron rods from the head to the tail of the fish, before placing them on the bonfire and barbecuing them.
The juicy fat of the big fish turned into a brownish color that was gradually being scorched by the heat and gave off an alluring aroma.
The fish meat was distributed based on each person's appetite. Even the women and children could eat until their heart's content. This kind of delicacy that was unimaginable in the past elicited cheers of joy everywhere from the tribe.
