Chereads / Death’s Heir / Chapter 191 - Blank

Chapter 191 - Blank

A moment of silence appeared when they both started at each other as if they had some kind of on going malice.

Azreal on the other hand just sat there since he didn't know what was going on nor was he remotely interested in getting involved.

While surveying the guests to avoid eye contact with the two he felt like someone was staring at him, he could tell that it wasn't Bakra or the dragon that just came so he ignored it, really he was just hoping to see Nawai or Eru so he could excuse himself without making it awkward.

After a while, Azreal felt like someone was staring at him, curious he turned to look where the stare was coming from.

To his surprise there was actually a young blue dragon standing beside the one that just came over, he was staring at Azreal.

Out of reflex Azreal raised an eyebrow, he couldn't understand why he was staring at him, not even a second later the young blue dragon flashed a smile with a little contempt hidden in it.

"Mhmm?"

When Azreal heard that he was shocked only now did he realize that his hearing was sealed off.

From the moment the blue dragon approached them and popped the 'bubble' that surrounded them, he'd sealed off Azreal's hearing without him realizing it, not for one second did it dawn on him that he wasn't hearing anything after the initial burst of sound.

"Who is this? A black half breed?"

The adult blue dragon started at Azreal for a few seconds before slightly turning back to Bakra with a wryly smile with a bit of shame mixed in.

"I can't tell what he's mixed with?...."

The adult blue dragon looked genuinely disappointed with himself, Bakra on the other hand just slightly shrugged his shoulders indicating he didn't know.

When Azreal heard that he paused in thought,

Could he be able to tell I'm human and that's why he thinks I'm mixed?

When that thought dawned on him Azreal turned to walk into the crowd, Bakra and the blue dragon were talking about him but not to him so him walking off isn't necessarily disrespectful, besides he suddenly did felt like not being so close to this blue dragon.

Just as he turned to leave the young dragon dragged the older one's coat to draw his attention to Azreal.

"Hmm,wait-wait-wait, what are you mixed with? The sliver could be a type of mutation of frost? no that's unlikely"

Azreal wasn't sure how to respond.

The blue dragon genuinely couldn't figure out what Azreal was mixed with, since there was only one silver dragon he had only one child and she died before she had any children.

So this silver had to be as a result of a part of his lineage, but he couldn't think of which creature it could be.

Tapping his fingers in though, the blue dragon looked down at the young dragon beside him.

"Yes that's it, a match"

When he said this he looked genuinely relived like the weight of the world was just lifted off his shoulders.

"Yes, yes! In a situation of stress or situations where you have to show your prowess all-natural advantages will be visible, how 'bout it Bakra?" The blue dragon spoke like he was talking to himself but just loud enough for Bakra to hear.

Bakra looked slightly hesitant, after thinking for a split second he nodded, he was genuinely curious about Azreal, and this was one way to get the best understanding of him.

Everything happened before Azreal could utter a word.

The whole time the blue dragon spoke in a calm tone despite him losing a bit of his composure earlier his words were clear.

Azreal wasn't sure when but everyone in the hall started looking over as if they were listening all along but he knows they weren't, the strange thing was at no time did the blue dragon increase his tone nor did the party ever have a slight pause.

Clapping the blue dragon drew everyone's attention to himself.

"Everyone we're going to be moving outside, two of the young'uns have decided to entertain us today by going head to head"

Looking at the two youngsters behind the blue dragon and the crowd couldn't help but start whispering about them.

Most of them stared at Azreal's black and silver scales, now that the match was brought up it was the best time to discuss among themselves.

The others who knew who the blue dragon was, starred at the younger blue dragon, expecting quite a show.

Azreal could only release a slight fake chuckle to cover a bit of his annoyance.

The young blue dragon, on the other hand, furrowed his brows when he heard Azreal chuckle.

Stepping forward he stopped a little ways from Azreal and stared at him as if silently challenging him before turning around and walking straight to a clear area in the garden, as he walked he took off his clothing until all that remained was his pants.

All the eyes that followed the young blue dragon to the 'ring' turned to Azreal to see what he would do.

Smiling a little Azreal walked down to the 'ring', he wasn't trying to be cocky but he wasn't feeling any pressure so they were either on the same level or he was slightly stronger, either he didn't seem himself losing, still he kept his guard up, still kept in mind the natural advantages each dragon had plus what Bakra has said to keep himself from becoming overconfident.

All the guests had their eyes fixed on the 'ring', fights among different types of dragons were always exciting, especially now when a young black dragon was facing this particular blue dragon.
