Chereads / Death’s Heir / Chapter 195 - Going to the capital

Chapter 195 - Going to the capital

"Set it to transfer us to the capital"

Once again the four gold armored sentries moved away from the columns and started the move the dials again.

"Let's go down, this should lead up straight to the room with the rune table"

From the hole Eru had created they could hear people talking as well as see the four shadows that were looking down.

"Hurry"

Was the only thing Eru said.

He had no intention of fighting the intruders since they planned on heading down they weren't weak and if tried to fight the noise would attract others.

The only other two options were they were guests at the party and if they were it wouldn't affect him if they got there in time before the transfer then great but he wasn't going to wait.

The second is that they are actually weak but are being used as cannon fodder to draw the attention of the sentries.

Either way, he had no intention to wait and see.

While Eru was thinking the final dial was turned as the diagram started to glow again, without any hesitation He and Nawai stepped up shortly followed by Azreal.

As they stood on the diagram and the glow increased the faintish feeling washed over Azreal but before he fainted all he saw was a spectrum of vivid colors in the middle of that was a shadow reaching out towards them along with some muffled shouts.

...

"Aza...."

"Azrea...."

"Azreal!"

Slowly opening his eyes, Azreal saw Eru kneeling beside him patting his cheeks trying to wake him up.

Slowly sitting up Azreal rubbed his forehead trying to dispel the grogginess that's in his mind.

Sitting up Azreal looked around.

Eru, on the other hand, left swiftly once he saw Azeal was awake and fine.

"Welcome to the capital," Nawai said.

The capital?

Taking in everything around him, he was in a dark room similar to in Bakra without the giant hole, the four pillars with the golden armored sentries were the same, the only difference was the rune table in the room was much larger as well as an extra person.

Ake.

As his eyes washed over Azreal, he could see the fear hidden in it, behind the fear was a condescending look.

Just as soon as the confusion appeared the answer came after, the shadow that he saw before he blanked out must've been him, so the voice they heard before was probably Ake and whoever he was traveling with but it looked like he was the only one to make it in time.

"Uncle had to leave so we'll take you to my house until he gets back"

Nawai said while helping Azreal to stand.

As Azreal tried to stand he almost slipped but thanks to Nawai holding him up he didn't fall, his legs felt slightly numb but he was slowly gaining back feeling.

"That always happens when you do a transfer for the first time by the time we get out, you'll have your legs back"

As nawai started to help Azreal walk, Ake started to leave as well.

As they walked forward a door opened in the darkness a couple of feet from them.

Even though the light coming from outside was bright it didn't go beyond a few inches of the door, the room mostly remained dark.

Stepping out Azreal reflexively closed his eyes as he stepped into the light.

Opening his eyes Azreal couldn't see the end of the massive city that was made up of dozens of tiny islands connected by bridges.

In the air was a huge castle floating above the islands, from where they were walking Azreal could almost see it all, the creatures flying across the sky below them as well as the boats moving from Island to island.

As they walked across the bridge connecting the two sides of the building Azreal took everything in by now he'd already gotten back the feeling in his legs so he could walk by himself.

Stepping into the other building Azreal saw a huge hole, the entire building was just a massive hole leading to the bottom that looked like a blur because of how high up they were.

On the inside there was only a thin ledge, stepping inside there wasn't much to hold onto, he could feel the wind pulling him down.

"Jump?"

He asked clinging his back to the wall looking over at Nawai, the tone he used was mixed with pleading and a bit of resentment.

Nawai seemed to ignore it and gave him a firm nod.

Ake, on the other hand, didn't say anything he just jumped without saying a word, followed by Nawai.

"Let's go"

Fuck!

He'd been high up before but this was something else he couldn't even see the ground from here! It looked no different from a speck of rice.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down Azreal jumped before any more fear crept in his mind.

The once weak pulling force started to feel like a hurricane and the more he tried to fight it the more it flung him around, because of how hard the wind was moving it began to sting.

Shit!

At the rate, it wouldn't be long before it started cutting him.

Before long it became hard to tell which way was up or down, the wind was just flinging him around.

It was progressively getting harder and harder to breathe.

Shit!

Come on! Fight it!

Trying his best Azreal tried to stiffen up his body to force his way through but it seemed like it only made the wind angrier.

Fu...

By now the burning sensation in his chest was getting overwhelming, along with the wind feeling like it would start cutting him soon, it feels like his own hell.

....

Coming over to Azreal Nawai grabbed onto his should it was obvious he was having a hard time.

Original he was only going to watch and observe the new dragon they found but watching it get it this point he decided to intervene.

Reaching out his hand he held onto Azreal's shoulder, as he felt the wrath of the wind all he could do was grit his teeth while gently rocking Azreal in an odd pattern.

"Don't fight the wind move with it, don't tense up just allow your body to be moved by it!"

Although the air around him was calm the wind around Azreal was raging so he had to should so he could hear him.

Azreal didn't hesitate much after hearing Nawai.

From the moment Nawai came over and started rocking him he could feel the wind calming down slightly but it was still horrible.

Following Nawai's advice, at first, it felt like the wind was still just tossing him around but Nawai continued moving him, it didn't take long before the wind around him seemed to calm down.

"Just follow the streams, close your eyes, and feel them.....they're in the parts where the wind is hardest don't just force your way through"

Following Nawai's advice, Azreal tried not to just stiffen up his body and force his way to the ground.

Completely relaxing his body Azreal got a vague sense of what Nawai was talking about, Throughout the air, there were tiny strong bursts of air nudging and pulling his body in all directions.

"That's it now everything moves in a pattern just watch the pattern and work with it"

As Azreal started to get a understanding of what Nawai was saying the air around him disappeared.

Opening his eyes, he was floating above a formation with a glowing rock in the center.

As he moved down Nawai pulled Azreal along.

Landing on their feet they walked out of the building.

He didn't see Ake anywhere.

"Did you sense it?"
