These shadows approaching were called trench fiends.
There was roughly over a billion of them in this lake. However, these were just the most common monsters. The real reason why this lake was so tough was because of the pressure, and the hidden bosses lurking in the mountains.
The amount of tension put on Lie Wei Ying's body was almost equivalent to the pressure from the surface of a sun. It was so fierce for most people that they wouldn't dare face these monsters. These trench fiends had adjusted to the pressure and were exceptionally more powerful than their levels read. However, Lie Wei Ying was so strong at this point it seemed like he was cutting through fish.
"Boom x 500,000!"
Lie Wei Ying laughed as his daggers carved up the first trench fiends. They were level 225 and had roughly 1,000,000,000 HP. However, Lie Wei Ying wasn't even minorly worried. He was so fast he could see their pupils vibrating in fear. It was like he was watching a small orb shaking back and forth. And he instantly arrived with his law of fate blazing on his dagger.
The second he cut down, the monster was torn in half draining all billions of its HP. Its black scales seemed to fall off its body, and its entire existence vanished.
'Hmm, if I keep this up I can level in one minute," Lie Wei Ying thought and turned towards the remaining monsters that were gasping in terror. In just roughly ten seconds, he had killed 2000 of the fiends. "However, there must be some way I can make this faster!"
Lie Wei Ying arrived in front of another pack of trench fiends. They moved their claws trying to hit the shadow approaching. However, by the time their claws arrived they noticed it was no longer attached to their bodies.
"Curse you demon!" One of the largest trench fiends screamed. However, as the words left his mouth, his body fell apart as well.
They could only watch Lie Wei Ying move. He was like a little bullet flying through defenseless sheep. However, these sheep had a penchant for eating humans, and even sometimes eating each other if no one visited.
They came in various sizes and looked sort of like dragons. However, they were different than dragons. They had a lot of beast like features that dragons didn't have. They had fur on their bodies that was used to keep them warm at the cold depths. They also had extremely long arms that Lie Wei Ying kept cutting off as he passed them.
Finally, after twenty seconds he finally passed the last bizarre looking creature.
He still had the experience boost on after killing Pope Unbeatable, after all, and smiled with a satisfied expression before he turned around watching the torn ligaments and torsos of the monsters rise up.
The one part of the lake he was in was literally dyed a deep reddish-black.
"Congratulations, you've leveled up to level 209. Experience boost is still at 100%"

Lie Wei Ying smiled as he shot up into the sky.
However, when he arrived Fei Hung was gasping. Moreover, she had gained 30 levels.
"Wha… What are you," She poked his arm and rubbed his chest. "It's almost like you are a level 300 True God."
Lie Wei Ying smiled. "I'm just level 209. However, I think my time with you is up. I've given you enough payment don't you think?" He pointed up towards her new level of 190 and examined her features closely.
She had brunette hair and was wearing a polka dot set of small women's armor and had on a loose-fitting dress beneath it. He could tell she wasn't trying to impress anyone with her looks. She was cute enough already with her beautiful dimples.
"Yes, but you haven't answered my question…."
Lie Wei Ying shook his head and grabbed her hand. "I don't really have a lot of time right now to answer questions," he said, "However, I need to keep going places to get strong. Do you know if there are any stronger beasts in this crevice?"
The two looked at each other as her mouth twitched in fear. If she really told him about the seven hollows in the bottom of the lake, she might lose her new friend.
"Uhm, If I tell you, you have to really think about whether to go or not, I know you want to get strong, but being foolish is never a good idea." She poked him one more time as her face pouted.
"Just tell me its level and where it is," the little immortal said, "I only have 71 minutes left… please!"
The girl backed off of him before she pointed down to seven holes in the distance. "They are the real reason this place is considered at the nightmare rank. If you really want to face level 300 monsters, they are in there. However, I am warning you to not go. Even level 320 men sometimes die. Unless you have mastered a supreme law I wouldn't dare tr-"
"Whoosh!"
Lie Wei Ying smiled as he flew off. "Please don't mind me kicking you out of the party. I'll make it up to you in an hour! However, if you could, wait for me here!"
The girl smiled as he flew off towards the holes. It was a nice last memory to have of one of the first people she liked.
Regardless, her mind was on the three ranks of monsters here in the second level. The first rank was for monsters that weren't that terrifying, but nonetheless profoundly dangerous. These monsters were only labeled that around level 220, and were in the shadow rank in the game. The nightmare rank was next, and they were profoundly different. This category was reserved for only world bosses and monsters passed level 300. However, at least he wasn't crazy enough to fight any monsters that were level 400. Those were in the Death rank. If you really wanted to mess with them, you probably had to be ready for the third stage.

Lie Wei Ying arrived inside one of the holes underneath the lake.
There were stone trees that seemed to be carved as decorations, and lots of bones littered the ground.
However, Lie Wei Ying was only focused on the level 300 monster. It's name was apparently Hollow of Satan's Gap, and it had 10 trillion HP.
When Lie Wei Ying saw how much HP it had, he almost wanted to leave and no longer try. However, before he could he felt a finger tapping him on the back.
"Ah, It seems I have a guest who has changed his mind," The monster had turned into its human form and instantly arrived by Lie Wei Ying.
The boy tried to fathom how he did that. He didn't seem to teleport, nor did he seem to move. However, he had somehow ended up behind him. Yet, when he turned to the front the same thing. He was also there. It was then he realized everywhere he looked the monster somehow arrived.
"Ah, you're wondering how I'm so fast, but did you really think you could just show up in my territory and then leave unscathed. I'm not something for site seeing boy!"
