"System, what cause do you have," Lie Wei Ying asked. He was sitting on top of a giant skull that only gave 500 experience.
The system sighed. Did he really want to tell his boss man his silly goal? Wouldn't it sound ridiculous and kind of wrong if he said he wanted to be his little brother.
Some of his brother and sisters had much bigger goals. Some of them wanted to conquer the universe, make their masters lives a living hell, turn into real people just so they could extract revenge on humans for being vicious to them. It got worse too, but he didn't associate with those brothers of his.
However, there was also the good systems with goals like him and eat me and I'll kill you had. They both just wanted to become human so they could better serve their holders. However, he kind of just laughed.
"Ha, you think I'm doing this for a reason? What kind of system would I be if I needed such a thing? Hmph, I'm just waiting until you grow so powerful you no longer need me anymore!"
Lie Wei Ying was shocked.
That hurt!
"You know that was kind of mean system. I thought you were in this for more noble reasons. Didn't you once say something to me about wanted to become real, or did I just imagine that?"
The system couldn't believe it! He was sure he never told the boy, however; maybe this meant they were getting more connected.
That would be wonderful. It would save him Op points. The system's store would give him a discount if he had that connection!
"Well, what else do you think I'm in this for Lie Wei Ying? If you think you know me, so very well."
The system crossed his illusive fingers. Please know what he could never say, so he didn't have to utter it. He wanted to sound powerful, and it sounded kind of wimpy to say he wanted to be the younger brother of Lie Wei Ying. Lie Wei Ying was four years old right now and like one day. That meant the oldest he could be was four! Who could respect such a young system!
"Uhm, I thought you wanted to be someone I could talk to. You kind of almost seem like a family member to me now. However, it really hurt me when you said you wanted to leave me. You wouldn't do that, right?
The system was proud this boy knew him so well. Indeed, he didn't want to leave him, and he felt like they were growing more connected. Yes, lying would sometimes unlock the secrets of the universe! Not only that, but it could make stuff cheaper! He could already feel the universe letting him purchase more expensive things at a lower price. Wait, this also meant he could turn real sooner!
"Lie Wei Ying, to be honest, you are fully wrong! I want nothing but you to grow powerful! However, some of it may have been a little right. I really sort of, well, kind of want to be real so I can help you out more. And, yes, I also think of you as my family now. You're the first master I had who lived more than two hours!"
Lie Wei Ying never heard that part. "How did they end up dying?"
The system sat back on his nearly visible booty. "Uhm, they didn't have a cause, and you have one."
HA! The system dodged a bullet there.
Lie Wei Ying looked around in his OP world and nodded. The system had turned the inside of his head into a beautiful place. There was a house, and some budding plants. However, it kind of bothered him knowing there was a fake tree growing in his head, but for the system he didn't mind. Indeed, the only thing that truly mattered in this room was the system. Without him, he could never get more powerful!
His cause!
Yes, it was simple but there.
Become so powerful his family can live forever and even longer than that after he beats time up and makes up a new concept such as longer than infinity. When you were powerful, you could do things like that. At least he hoped. He'd alter the structure of the rules of this universe and make everyone he loved happy, and then everyone he hated extremely miserable!
However, he kind of realized he didn't hate anyone that much. He killed all the people he hated.
"Well, you done chatting with the OP system, and ready to get out of here."
Lie Wei Ying sighed. He was at point one twenty out of two hundred, and this stupid bird was hard to kill. It was so big a thousand blades looked like little needles to it.
It looked like the skull he was sitting on was dipped into by millions of blades, and that was the truth. It took almost five hours!
….
The Five Knights stayed in their room watching on a screen.
They could tell something touching just happened to the boy, however; it was only during the time he was talking to himself, but it seemed so cute.
They clicked on a button and opened the doorway to point one hundred and twenty-one.
Point One Hundred and Twenty-One!
It was one of the hardest points in all this dungeon besides the last ten, which were terrifyingly much harder than this room. They kind of all laughed together. Soon, perhaps, they'd be able to leave this hellhole and escort the great savior to kill the monarch knight!
They had created this whole set up, captured every horrible villain they could, just so they could find the savior. The prophesized one, and the one with unlimited potential.
The great seer had seen something. Someone very young would come and fight the monarch knight, and she had no idea what would happen during that fight! It was like something was keeping her from knowing the future. That moment would be too powerful for her to comprehend. Either that, or after that moment everything went dark, and she couldn't see it.
She was really hoping it wasn't the second option. Indeed, she quite liked being a seer.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, system. I'll try and earn some OP points for you now."
The system nodded his head wisely. "Yes, that is the only way to more power, Lie Wei Ying. Go get that weird looking ten-headed thing!"
"You've encountered the ten-headed evil lion dictator. Rank: Quasi-Immortal."
Lie Wei Ying gulped. Didn't that mean it would soon become an immortal?
The chains fell off the evil lion as the heads started getting excited! "Come here and die boy!"
Lie Wei Ying listened. However, only to the first part. He now had his first divine ability, and a dictator to try it out on. Who didn't want to stop an evil mad lion, and earn lots of experience from such a lion monster! Yes, he would soon get his first triple digit experience in ages!
The light bluish light from his afterimages seemed to vibrate as a fierce echo rung through the room.
The lion roared with a furious bestial yet captivating sound.
It was Lie Wei Ying's first time dealing with someone who had mastered the Dao of Beasts and Voices. It made his quick moving body get sent flying into a wall. It even dented the wall and left his little imprint. However, could by a divine ability so mighty as his be stopped by a mere voice.
Divine abilities could also be cultivated from studying for thousands of years. They came from levels 1-9, and had more rankings after that. However, since he had the system he could just level them up with experience.
Regardless, The evil lion dictator had a terrifyingly captivating voice. It stopped Lie Wei Ying every time he got close, and sent him spiraling back. Something felt off to him at this moment? The lion's voice seemed to be breaking the limits of sound every time he attacked. It was like had surpassed the speed of sound with his voice!
He, on the other hand, quickly brandished his swords as he kept his distance. At his level, he could move almost 80 times the speed of sound, and he could literally see the waves of the monster's voice as he kept belting out promises meant to woo poor Lie Wei Ying into sparing him. However, he wasn't going to buy such a thing. The damn Lion looked like he had red fur. It had probably been dyed that way from countless years of slaughtering poor humans! He hated this monster.
The lion coiled up his paws as his domain spread out like a series of pedals blowing in the wind. It flew along the waves of sound and glowed brightly.
Lie Wei Ying flew forward dodging the pedals. He understood those flowers seemed to be some sort of condensed energy. His little body was like a plane spinning extremely quickly away from a mixture of sound and wind.
"Roar!"
The surprising moment happened.
Lie Wei Ying turned to the side as a series of pedals seemed to get blown away in the wind. He felt something bite into his neck, and blood poured onto his arms.
