Chereads / AntiGod / Chapter 7 - Vega

Chapter 7 - Vega

A land red like the darkest blood lay barren and empty wherever the eyes could see, except for the weird way the air above it seemed twisted to the naked eyes, giving off a multicolored glow in the form of millions of streaks that flickered randomly and variably across the whole region. To normal eyes, it was an empty world with a visually suffocating view that could twist one's mind into oblivion way before one died of thirst in this seemingly god-forsaken place.

This was Vega, as named by its inhabitants who were quite agitated and bustling as of this moment. This was one among the quadrillions of worlds in the Time dimension of the lower plane. And yes, the world wasn't actually empty, just that the inhabitants were...somewhat 'special'.

Composed of the 'photo-elements', the inhabitants of this world, and everything in their civilization, developed in the atmosphere of this world formed with the deposition and cosmic reconstruction of light itself to grow an actual world core. It was one of the rare few, twelve to be precise, such worlds in the whole dimension here. It was only the insane degree of compression and warping of dark energy and gravity thanks to the white hole that stabilized this region of spacetime, and the practically inexhaustible energy delivered constantly from the white hole, which made the existence of this rare world and the lifeforms on it possible.

The Luxins, as they were called in this plane, were individuals, yet coalesced into a single consciousness at the same time. They were separate consciousnesses indeed, but connected at a fundamental level to be able to share their existence with each other. Due to their pure and ethereal physical nature, they were one of the most advanced beings in this region in terms of development at an existential level.

Having developed a system of cultivation to enhance their existences toward achieving the goal of metamorphosis, these lightforms had been growing over billions of years. After a certain stage, they could achieve capabilities way beyond the properties of light in its normally observed forms. There were not many kinds of places in the cosmic expanse which could hinder them, and for that matter, not many beings who knew about them and still could dare to not avoid confronting them, with their ethereal abilities that allowed them to fight at the soul level.

Of course, such beings didn't emerge that easily among these lightforms, yet they were a strong kind as a whole nonetheless.

At this moment, on a cliff overseeing a huge ocean of light was present a unique aggregate of light that seemed to pulse at myriad and seemingly random frequencies, partially disappearing into the void and at times seeming to encompass the entire spacetime of the region. There were even fractions of seconds when the 'ball' of light seemed to manifest into three quasi-solid figures, partially entangled and ever-changing, before melting into the ambient atmosphere but seeming like it still existed at that very spot all along.

Of course, if a person could full visualize their four-dimensional forms, they would be perceivable as partly humanoid figures that appeared to be made up of a dynamic equilibrium between light waveforms and what could only be described as liquified light, flowing in and out of the two states constantly. Moreover, if one perceived with one of the various soul methods, they would find that this planet that seemed to be barren and lifeless was actually holding a super civilization growing and thriving just like any other like it, except for the eerie harmony present here which felt odd in a multiverse of chaos.

But what was even more striking was a similar ball of 'light', for the lack of a better word to describe it, that seemed to be self-contained somehow yet threatening to cover the entire expanse. To be more precise, the 'light' it seemed to be comprised of was of the darkest possible hue, threatening to even engulf the entire life consciousness of the planet. If one were to be technical about it, it wasn't even composed of actual light of course. And yet, it was able to exist and interact with this entire planetary consciousness at an equal, if not superior level.

The pressure emanating from this lifeform was precisely the cause behind the agitation of the entire Vega planet, even though the entity was not emitting any threatening intention, and was even amicably discussing with the other three on the cliff.

"You know I'm not going to blow up that puking orb up there, so what's up with this twitchiness?" said the man who was the source of the black 'light'.

"Ahaha nothing like that sir! It's just that we weren't expecting a visit, and were left a bit unprepared with the welcome. How can we make up for it and be of assistance, sir?" One of the three lightforms, who seemed to be the oldest one of them, spoke with a smile. Although, it still couldn't hide the tremor that passed through its luminescence every now and then.

"Why do you think everyone comes here only for some gathering action around that white hole? You have this nice little place here, and I just happen to be looking for some relaxed beach time…You know, get a tan or whatever you get here, haha!" The black light dissipated into the void like dust blowing off a mural amidst a cool Mediterranean breeze, leaving behind a young man in his late teens, who seemed perfectly normal—albeit with unparalleled features and aura—yet at the same time unfathomable beyond any multitude of senses. For that matter, even the four-dimensional Luxins around him failed to fully articulate their sensations despite being able to see an extra dimension of his being.

The three Luxins had no clue as to what this 'beach time' and 'tan' stuff meant, but they inferred something and tried to sound like they were still in the conversation, "Ahaha the quantum microcosm fragments that emerge here are indeed great for celestial beings who are able to handle and purify them. You can stay here all you want indeed." As the leader said those words, he couldn't help but think about the scene a short while ago—the white hole seemed like it was shrinking before it suddenly paused.

Yes, paused!

For the lack of a better word, this abnormal feature of the universe hidden within the web of spacetime, beyond the reach of most low leveled existences, actually turned into a 'puking orb' that seemed to be frozen in space. None of them knew how long it was—a second or a hundred days—before things finally went back to normal. But, before they had even come out of the shock and started to figure out what just happened, a darkness beyond description covered the entire Luxin consciousness momentarily before retreating and converging into a single being that seemed just like them, yet was definitely nothing like them.

What followed was a small skirmish—small not in scale, but in terms of the time it lasted. All it took the newcomer was a slight flicker that seemed like a wave of his hand before the millions of oracles and Saint level beings, who were about to put up defenses and trap him, were extinguished out of existence…and then reborn right where they stood in exactly the state they were a moment ago.

As beings who studied the nature of the real universe and the interstitium, as well as cultivated themselves into powerhouses potentially capable of turning over entire superclusters of galaxies with a mere thought, the entire Luxin history had never recorded a being who was capable of uprooting them from their mother consciousness and vanishing them from the interstitum itself, turning them into the most fundamental strings of the matter around them. And what was even more horrifying was the ability of bringing them all back to their original state, the millions of them, out of literal nothingness.

It would already be bonkers to create a million four-dimensional Luxins out of nothingness. But to bring those very consciousnesses back, and that too in the exact same 'bodies' as before…What level of reality manipulation was that?

If it hadn't been for their connected consciousness and the infinite potential of their lightforms, the Luxin leaders would have thought that their fellow beings were just teleported somewhere, sometime, or in some metastate before being brought back. But, they knew right at that very instant what exactly had happened before them.

And then the newcomer had the nerve to make a couple of 'laser poop' jokes and act like he was chummy with these folks here! What level of lack of self-awareness was that?

Anyhow, who amongst the entire population here had the balls to get pissed off about it right now? They could barely keep themselves from metaphorically wetting themselves after what went down just now. It was only after seeing no further assault coming their way did they start to settle down. Nevertheless, they were freaked out due to the pressure and subconscious threat they were perceiving constantly.

The only positive side of this whole situation was the clear lack of belittling arrogance in the newcomer's demeanor, to the point where someone of his level was fine having small talk with these 'leaders' here instead of asking for the actual mother consciousness to manifest. Of course, that infinite darkness in that moment was a sort of 'greeting' specially for the mother consciousness, and who knows whether an extensive exchange had already taken place in what seemed like a moment! After all, time at its core was just a function of spatial expansion, which was mere tomfoolery beyond a certain level of understanding of space.

"Yeah I bet that stuff is nice indeed. No wonder your glowy a*ses just don't fade away! But as I said, I am not here for getting any gathering action, so as they say down there, miss me with this bullsh*t boomer." The young man winked and laughed.

'Wait what? Is that even a sentence? And what's a boomer?' The three leaders were trying to figure out how to respond while just laughing outwardly, which for them was basically having streaks of red flash repeatedly around the middle. Although it was clearly a fake laugh, as an actual laughter would manifest in the form of red and even purple streaks much closer to their cores. Anyhow, the young man didn't seem to notice it or even be aware of the fact; and if he was, then he didn't let it show up in any way at the very least.

But, he suddenly ceased laughing, and for a jiffy it seemed like an apocalypse was brewing right at the core of the cosmos, ready to implode and swallow everything in itself.

"What I am here for has something to do with the puking orb indeed, and a lot to do with you lovely folks here. But first, let me introduce myself."

'Why do I not like the feel of this 'lovely' descriptor here?' thought the 'youngest' Luxin leader on the right as he tried to warp closer to the other two without making any sudden movements.
